This paper examines how Tsushima has used the Arirang festival as a place marketing apparently targeting at Korean tourists, which has been historically achieved at the Arirang festival though public-private activities. Tsushima has tried to advertise Tsushima city to Korean tourists, with methods including the 'Chosen Agency Parade' and the title of the Arirang festival, but due to the Dokdo problem, the people of Tsushima objected to holding the Arirang festival. Therefore, Tsushima city had a meeting to solve it, and it was agreed that they need not stop the festival nor change of the title of the Arirang festival for the regional development, but instead they decided that the title of Arirang festival is to be used as a subtitle from 2007. By deciding this, The residents of Tsushima are sometimes against the opinion of Tsushima government, but they have eagerly participated in everything from the operation of the festival to the performances themselves. In this sense, it is thought that the Arirang festival is utilized as a local identity and also a place marketing, and the process for the regional development strategy is organized by public-private actors together.
In late 1980s, many suburban cities in Tokyo metropolitan area have tried to construct office parks, such as Makuhari New Town, Minato Mirai 21 to promote knowledge based economy. As the most important player of this mesa project, the local government mobilized local resources from various private sectors. The local government adopted place marketing strategy to attract companies and consumers with thick pocket. The composition of this strategy embraces publicity, uniqueness, centrality of function and information and comfortability for formation of the office park. Headquarters and producer service offices were relocated in the suburban office parks for the first time in the history of modem Tokyo since 1920s. Although it is the ongoing project that encounters some financial difficulties, the office park Project will be a sound foundation for future growth of knowledge-based economy.

Regional festivals had not been for regional economy in the past. However, they have recently become an important way for place marketing, and regional festivals to improve regional economy have been increasing rapidly. In this context, the work proposes to examine the types of regional festivals and the features of territorial assets utilizing for the regional festivals in Kyungbuk province, Korea. In Kyungbuk, regional festivals have rapidly increased with the conduction of local autonomy since 1996. While their number was only 14 until 1995, it increased to 66 as of 2006. The regional festivals can be classified into traditional folk-type cultural art-type, industrial spatiality-type and tourism event-type. All of the regional festivals that have emerged since the late 1990s are industrial spatiality-type or tourism event-type. Both of these types share about two-thirds of total regional festivals in Kyungbuk. The most serious problem in the regional festivals of Kyungbuk is that they are becoming similar each other in the period of festivals and territorial assets. Near 90% of festivals hold for 5 months, in April, May, July, August, September, October and over 40% only for 2 months, in May and September. In addition, 27 of total 66 festivals utilize similar territorial assets. Especially, the trend of duplication is stronger in natural ecological assets and industrial specialty assets. Place marketing strategy needs to be more focused on cultural assets.
This paper discusses the possibility of developing literary villages and book towns by examining the feasibility of place marketing for culture and art spaces from multiple perspectives. The aim is to point out the practicability of literary villages, moving away from building halls of fame for individual writers and artists and toward creating whole villages functioning as the centers of their local cultural scene, as well as suggest ways for contributing to regional revitalization and development of culture and art programs. To this end, "Kim Yujeong Literature Village," "Lee Hyo-seok Culture and Art Village," and "Hwang Soon-Won Sonagi Village" were selected; based on these, case studies were conducted and their actual operational status was explored. As a result, it was discovered that literary villages would function well as the centers of their local community if meaningful and interesting content is continuously developed with quality enhancement. This suggests a positive impact of place marketing, and to achieve this, it is necessary to open a new paradigm of local culture by differentiating from other cultural industries and securing a position as a new industrial sector. To this end, the paper suggests approaches such as small local literary groups with direct or indirect links to the literary village, or application of space and related works in the literary village with local education.
Purpose: Online and social media and mobile shopping are increasing and companies are required to provide personal information in order to supplement the non-invasive characteristics of the channels. With the increased provision of personal information, consumers' personal and social concerns about the prevention of personal information infringement are also increasing, and in response, personal or opt-in marketing has emerged to compensate for reckless information abuse. Despite the background of this emergence, the existing prior studies are limited to ignoring the negative feelings of consumers in the real world, including only the net function and positive effect of the opt-in mail. Research design, data and methodology: The research framework was intended to utilize the impact of human marketing activities on consumer attitudes combined with positive and negative factors. Factors that positively affect attitudes toward permation marketing were presented, such as informality, and perceived risks were presented as negative impact factors. Also, based on previous prior research, the prior factors of opt-in marketing were to present the effect on purchase intent through the medium of attitude toward opt-in marketing. Results: In this study, we used the framework of a two factor theory to address positive and negative factors as a leading factor in the customer attitude toward opt-in mail advertising, and as a result, functionality and personalization have a positive effect on customer attitude and perceived risk have a negative impact on customer attitude. In addition, it was confirmed that the customer attitude formed this way affects the intention to purchase again. Conclusions: This study suggests that we have demonstrated that marketing, an opt-in marketing that has been recognized as part of marketing that is deployed after obtaining customer consent, has been applied without any other marketing methodology. E-mail advertising at this point also provides practical implications that the system safeguards are in place under an opt-in protocol or system, and that even if an e-mail advertisement is carried out, customers will need to look at the level of awareness about the risks, and suggests that they need to consider the customer's journey that could lead to purchase at the content level.
Foci of this thesis arc an estimation of willingness to pay and an establishment of green marketing strategics for environment-friendly agricultural products(EFAR). Estimations of willingness to pay for grain, vegetables, fruit and processed food-stuffs arc respectively 20.6%, 20.2%, 19.3% and 17.2% higher than agricultural products produced by conventional farming method. And a green mark6ting mix for EFAP is as follows; Erst, a product strategy focuses on producing safe and high-quality foods by environment-friendly agriculture(EFA) to point to consumer’s health and desire for environmental preservation. Second, in a price strategy, the balance of three factors should be kept, namely the environmental value the true quality as food materials and the price of EFAP. Third, a place strategy is to reduce waste matters, resource and energy uses in marketing chain, and to simplify marketing channels. Also, it is necessary to choose the marketing channel for price discrimination. Fourth, a promotion strategy make use of programs that emphasize the multi-function of EFA.

Internal marketing perception, empowerment, and job satisfaction correlated with customer orientation. This study focuses on the ecological and environmental approach for marketing in the attempt to harmonize the objectives and resources of the organizations with the changing environment. This study presents the deductive and nomative method for analyzing recurrent marketing problem and contains seven chapters. The marketing environment is the place the company must start in searching for oportunities and in monitoring threats. It consists of all the actors and forces that affect the company's ability to transact can be divided into two componets-The marketing environment comperies a microenvironment consists of the actors in the company's immediate environment that affect its ability to serve its customers, namely, the company, market channal firms, customers, competitors and publics, the macroenvironment consists of the larger societal forces that affect all the actors in the macroenvironment, nanly, the demographic, economic, natural, technological and cultural forces. Most marketing executives took the phyisical environment for granted. Few consistered it one of the most dynamic elements in the totoal environment of business. However, two development have brought the physical environment to the forefront of business decision. The first has been labeled the ecological crisis-the polution and deterioration of air, water and land, the second is the accelerated depletion of the earth's natural resources. Currently, most product are designed to obtain an optimum combination of customer acceptances and production and distribution efficiencies.
