4세대 박형 CD 광학 픽업 개발 (Development of the 4th Generation CD Optical Pick-up with Small Thickness)

  • The 3rd generation optical pick-up used popularly in resent years is composed of many optical and electronic components such as laser diode, photo diode, beam splitter, objective lens, grating lens, concave lens, collimator lens etc. Therefore, the design of its optical system and its main base which the said optical and electronic components are set on, is complicated and needs high precision. Its assembly and adjustment in the production line is also difficult. This complication and the demand of high precision get its production cost to be high and its reliability to be low. In this paper, the 4th generation optical pick-up is designed and developed, with the hologram device which laser diode. photo diode, beam splitter. and grating lens are integrated in. This optical pick-up reduces the number of points of adjustment by 3, compared with the 3rd generation optical pick-up of which the number of points of adjustment is 6. This optical pickup also decreases by 4 the number of points of W bonding to have bad influence on environmental reliability, decreases by about 10 the number of parts, and establishes about 20% cost-down of material cost, compared with the 3rd generation optical pick-up.

후두 스트로보스코프 검사의 신호 동기화를 위한 진동 검출기의 유용성 (Usefullness of the Vibration Pick-Up in Detection of Pitch for Synchronization of Laryngeal Stroboscopy)

  • Objective and Background: Laryngeal stroboscope is an useful equipment in evaluation of vocal cord vibration and in early detection of mucosal lesion including invasive cancer of the vocal cord. Recently Lee et al. (2006) developed portable stroboscope using voice as synchronization signal. It has been frequently impaired ability to synchronize the flashes even in normal female. Authors tried to investigate various methods including vibration pick-up, microphone, laryngeal microphone, and contact microphone for development of simple and accurate method like electroglottograph signal. The purpose of this study was to estimate wheher the vibration pick-up is available and is consistent with the signal of EGG. Subjects and Methods: Authors compared the signals between EGG and noncontact method such as voice, contact methods including vibration pick-up, laryngeal microphone, and contact microphone in normal twenty adults (male 10 and female 10). The number of peak in one cycle was compared with the number of the peak in EGG, and the percent of phase difference in the peak was compared with EGG Also, authors tried to investigate which site of vibration pick-up was most effective for synchronization of stobo flashes. Three site including anterior neck below the cricoid cartilage, thyroid ala, and suprahyoid region were analysed. Results: Among various methods for synchronization of strobo flashes, vibration pick-up was most effective method in peak detection. And anterior neck below cricoid cartilage was the most available site of the vibration pick-up. Conclusion: Authors suggest that vibration pick-up is most available and effective method for synchronization of strobo flashes.

  • Most industrial logistic systems have focused on carrying products from manufacturers or distribution centers to customers. In recent years, they are faced with the problem of integrating reverse flows into their transportation systems. In this paper, we address the vehicle routing problems with mixed delivery and pick-up(VRPMDP). Mixed operation of delivery and pick-up during a vehicle tour requires rearrangement of the goods on board. The VRPMDP considers the reshuffling time of goods at customers, hard time windows, and split operation of delivery and pick-up. We construct a mixed integer mathematical model and propose a new genetic algorithm named GAMP for VRPMDP. Computational experiments on various types of test problems are performed to evaluate GAMP against the modified Dethloff's algorithm. The results show that GAMP reduces the total vehicle operation time by 5.9% on average, but takes about six times longer computation time.

  • We develop a plastic object lens for blu-ray disc playing pick-up module as morethan 0.85 numerical aperture in this research. We design plastic object lens for blu-ray disc playing pick-up module's each factor's in balanced and made our designed lens by injection molding. Furthermore, by correction designing in mold-core, we optimization our lens efficiency as world grade; wave front aberration $0.028{\lambda}$. RMS, light axis differential 0.3967arcmin. We can manufacture localized blu-ray disc's pick-up lens's component and by this fact we obtain international competitiveness. The result of this research will be very helpful to develop a single objective lens for 3 different wavelength of laser diodes in playing and recording pick-up module.

Analysis of Loading/Unloading Activity for Efficient Urban Goods Movement Plan - Focusing on Chiba City -

  • Pick-up/delivery of consumer goods to offices, shops, and restaurants in order to support urban lives is one of the most vital activities in a city. With economic growth and technological innovation, a greater variety of goods have come to be supplied, and pick-up/delivery of consumer goods has become more complex. Efficient urban goods movement in Central Business District(CBD} starts with an efficient system for loading/unloading, and pick-up/delivery activities. Loading/unloading activity may be carried out on-street, or on especially designated space inside or outside buildings. Therefore, purpose of this study is to clarity the efficient urban goods movement in CBD(also called the pick-up/delivery activity) from the three different types of loading/unloading facilities. For this purpose, the differences in loading/unloading and truck-trip activity time of each loading/unloading facility was compared by performing the simulation analysis.

플러그묘 취출장치 개발 (Development of a Pick-up Device for Plug-Seedlings)

  • A seedling pick-up device for vegetable transplanters was developed and its work performance was evaluated at the laboratory. The pick-up device extracts seedlings from a 200-cell tray of seedlings and transfers them to the place where they are to be transplanted into the soil. The device consists of a path generator, pick-up pins and a pin driver. The path generator is a five-bar mechanism comprised of a fixed link, a driving link, a driven link, a connecting link and a slider. The slider is constrained to move along the driven link and a fixed slot of combined straight-line and circular paths. The connecting link joins the driving link and the slider. When the slider moves along the straight-line path of the slot it takes seedlings out from the cell and transfers them to the transplanting hopper when moving along the circular path. A proto-type of the pick-up device was built and tested under the various operational conditions such as age of seedling, approach direction and penetration depth of pins to the cell, holding method of seedling and extracting velocity. The device extracted 30 seedlings per minute with the maximum success ratio of 97% using the seedlings of 23 days old. Some design details were also discussed and suggested to enhance the performance of the device.

탈립성(脱粒性), 단간종(短稈種)인 통일계품종(統一系品種)에 적합(適合)한 바인더의 개량(改良) 개발(開發)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究)(I) (Modification of the Existing Binders for Highly-Shattering, Short-Stem Rice Varieties (I))

  • The binders introduced in Korea were originally designed to be used for Japonica-type varieties which have relatively long stem and are highly resistant to shattering. In order to use it for Tongil varieties which are short and easy to be shattered, mechanical modifications are necessary to reduce a grain loss incurred during binder operation. This study was intended to investigate analytically and experimentally the major sources of grain losses caused by three kinds of binders now introduced in Korea. Actual modification for each of three binders was done and experimentally compared to see if any improvement on grain loss was achieved. The results obtained in this study are summarized as follows; 1. It was required that the power transmission of binder should have a shifting mechanism so that velocities of pick-up and traveling units could be changed independently as desired according to the Japonica-type and Tongil varieties. In other words, the desired velocity of traveling unit should be obtained by shifting the transmission and the velocity of pick-up unit should be selected by reaping clutch according to the variety independent of the velocity of traveling unit as shown in Fig. 6. 2. To reduce grain loss it was desired that the moving parts of the pick-up unit should have the lowest possible velocities in harvesting Tongil varieties, unless the reduction of the speed be hindered the conveyance of the material. Based on the study, it was concluded that the velocities of pick-up unit be reduced by about 35% of those of the existing units. 3. It was found that the lug at the upper rotating section of pick-up case gave a severe impact on the ears of rice to increase grain loss. The optimum design of pick-up case to protect the ears from the protruding part of the lug was recommended by the result of analysis of the trajectory of the end-point of lug at the position. 4. It was proved analytically and experimentally that pick-up unit at the lower-rotating part was the other important source of grain loss in pick-up and divider assembly. In order to reduce a grain loss incurred by lugs at their lower-rotating section, it was suggested to improve it by (1) widening the space between right and left lower-rotating section, (2) shortening the length of lugs, (3) enlargement of the angle between the pick-up case and ground-level, and (4) attaching guard to right and left dividers so that the rotating lug could not give a high impact to the paddy hill. 5. Pick-up and divider assembly of the original binder of three models studied was modified according to the suggestions that were given by the preliminary study. Field test showed that the modified binders were able to reduce grain losses by about 0.4-0.7 percentage points compared to those without modification.

벨트 파지식 1조 콩 예취기 개발 (Development of a Belt Pick-up One-row Soybean Cutter)

  • This study was carried out to develop a belt pick-up type one-row soybean cutter, using physical properties and production conditions of soybeans. The prototype soybean cutter consisted of 4 parts: cutting part, conveying part, collecting part, and travelling part. The prototype soybean cutter was designed to cut soybeans planted with a row spacing of 600 mm, and at a height of 30 mm from the bed bottom using a disk saw. Through various trials with different peripheral velocities of the disk saw and forward speed of the cutter, determined ranges of the peripheral velocity of the disk saw cutting soybeans stems were greater than 18.3 m/s. Spacing between pick-up belts (clearance) was in a range of 60~90 mm so that soybeans could be picked at heights greater than 25 cm, and the size and shape of the pick-up belt were determined the conventional manual harvesting method. The optimal ratio between the forward speed of cutter and the peripheral speed of pick-up belts were from 1 to 1.2 by theoretical analysis. the pick-up belts had a $35^{\circ}$ of tilted angle and $90^{\circ}$ of twisted angle to pick up soybeans safely from the plant input to the lower end of the belts and convey soybeans to the upper end of belts nearby a container. The soybeans at the rear container were dropped down on the soybean row with an interval. The effective field capacity of the prototype soybean cutter was 0.136 ha/h, reducing the working hour by 92% when compared with the manual cutting.

  • This paper considers the vehicle routing problem taking account of not only delivery but pick-up at the same time. A mathematical formulation is presented for finding the route which satisfies all the demands of customers and enables picking up most containers without exceeding the capacity of the vehicle. A table comparing traveling distance and the pick-up amount is provided by using heuristic method, which will be of help to the decision makers.

  • This paper presents a development of the control algorithm and Pick & Placer. The Pick & Placer provides a powerful multi-task system that includes both graphical and remote interface. Users can easily set up sorting parameters and record important data including wafer number, data, and operator information. This System sets up a dustproof device and massively machined components to provide an extremely stable sorting environment. Precise resolution and accuracy result from using machine vision, a pneumatic slide drive and close -looped positioning.
