The purpose of the study is to investigate the effects of physical attractiveness and dress on evaluation of female job Applicants in terms of suitable employment potential and job- type. The study was a 2$\times$3 between subject factorial design with two levels of attractiveness (attractive, moderately attractive) and three levels of dress image(masculine, androgynous, feminine). A group of clothing experts and the middle.level management staffs within a large corporation selected two models(attractive, moderately attractive) through two-step evaluation Process after viewing photographs of 50 female university students. Dresses in three levels were selected by a group of five experts. Two models were photographed with controlled background in three different clothes. Data were collected from 162 management level staffs enrolled in the Top Business Management, The Top Policy Science and the Top Press Information Graduated School of Korea University. Each respondent saw photograph and evaluated the applicant in terms of eight items of employment potential and suitable job type (management position vs. secretary) The results of this research were as follows: 1. Physical attractiveness had significant influences on applicants 'employment potential. Attractive applicant's emplolyment potential was evaluated higher than moderately attract live applicant. 2. Dress had little influence on female job applicants 'employment potential, but dress of androgynous image was evaluated relatively positively. 3. Physical attractiveness had some influences on the evaluation of suitable job-type. The attractive applicant was judged to fit in as a secretary and the moderately attractive model in management position.
The purpose of this study is to understand the effect of employees' physical attractiveness in foodservice companies on interpersonal relationship, job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior and the moderating effect of gender and company types. Based on total 553 samples obtained from the empirical research, this study reviewed reliability and the fitness of a research model and verified total 3 hypotheses using the Amos program. The hypothesized relationships in the model were tested simultaneously by using a structural equation model(SEM). The proposed model provided an adequate fit to the data, $x^2$(df 179)=627.230, p<0.01, CMIN/DF 3.504, RMR 0.228, GFI 0.903, AGFI 0.875, NFI 0.935, CFI 0.953, RMSEA 0.067. SEM resulted that the employees' physical attractiveness(face attractiveness: $\beta=0.213$; body attractiveness: $\beta=0.111$) showed a significant effect on interpersonal relationship, and interpersonal relationship($\beta=0.375$) had a significant effect on job satisfaction. Also, job satisfaction($\beta=0.756$) had a significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior. As a result of analyzing the moderating role, the effect of the employees' physical attractiveness in foodservice companies on interpersonal relationship, job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior was moderated by both of gender and company types. Limitations and future research directions are also discussed.
The purpose of this research is to examine the importance of the physical surroundings for the restaurants in the local specialities food town and how their physical surroundings influence on the customer emotional responses and satisfaction to suggest the improvements and implications of the physical surroundings. The questionnaire for a survey was distributed to the customers who have visited the restaurants specialized in Korean beef located in the Sanoei Korean beef town, Jeongeup. The results of this research are as follows. First, except for attractiveness among the factors of physical surroundings(convenience, attractiveness, cleanliness and amusement), as cleanliness and convenience occupy high degree, customers were presented to response more emotionally. Second, except for attractiveness among convenience, attractiveness, cleanliness and amusement, as cleanliness and convenience occupy high degree, customers were presented to be more satisfied. Third, customer emotional response influences on customer satisfaction with the food town for local speciality.
The main purpose of this study, based on implicit personality theory and attribution theory, was to examine whether there exist the physical attractiveness stereotype, "what is beautiful is good," in the present Korea, and if exist, what is the content of it. The index of the physical attractiveness of this study was the facial attractiveness judged by 30 female university students. The appropriateness of clothing was manipulated by 4 types of clothing perceived appropriate for two assumed situations by female university students. A total of 524 male and female(262 of male, 262 of female) university students from 3 universities in Kwangju, Korea were participated as subjects in this study. The design for the experiment was a 3$\times$4$\times$2 randomaized factorial, with three levels of facial attractiveness (high, medium, low), and four types attire(formal-masculine, formal-feminine, casual-masculine, casual-feminine), two kinds of context (job interview, dating) in which perceptions were occurred. The data were analysed using factor analysis, MANOVA, t-test and Duncan test. The results were as follows: 1. The facial attractiveness exerted significant positive effects on the evaluation of sociability, adjustment, and potency of her in both of two assumed situations (p<.001, respectively). 2. The appropriateness of stimulus person′s clothing had significant positive erect on the evaluation of sociability of stimulus person in dating context(p<.001). 3. The gender of subjects did not influenced the trait evaluations in both of two assumed situations.

In bogus job interview. the direct effect of perceived facial attractiveness on task performance evaluation was .175 and the indirect effect mediated by likability and trait evaluation was .285 in path analysis model. The direct effect of perceived appropriateness of clothing on task performance evaluation was .111 and the indirect effect mediated by likability only was .0564 in pass analysis model. 2. In dating situation, the direct effect of perceived facial attractiveness on task performance evaluation was .355, the indirect effect mediated by likability and trait evaluation was .188 in path analysis model. The direct effect of perceived appropriateness of clothing on task performance evaluation was .108, the indirect effect mediated by likability and trait evaluation was .060 in Pass analysis.

This study examines the effects of SNS fashion influencer's authenticity on the followers' relationship maintenance intention and product purchase intention through the mediating role of fanship. In addition, influencer's attractiveness is proposed as a moderator affecting the authenticity on fanship; in addition, authenticity is operationalized as honesty and expertise. A written survey is developed for 181 female Instagram users. The analyses of the data yields the following findings. First, honesty has a positive effect on fanship, relationship maintenance intention and purchase intention, while expertise affects fanship and relationship maintenance intention, but does not have a significant effect on purchase intention. Second, honesty and expertise have a positive effect on follower behavior intention through the partial mediation of fanship. Third, social attractiveness and physical attractiveness have a significant effect on fanship. However, all interaction effects between authenticity and attractiveness are not significant. Unlike authenticity, attractiveness has no direct effect on follower behavior intention. This study verifies the critical role of authenticity for an influencer in the context of SNS marketing and commerce, as this factor leads to followers behavioral intention as well as fanship in both direct and mediated paths.

The purpose of this research is to confirm how the determinant factors for shopping mall selection (proximity, parking facility, benefits, mutual interaction effects, physical environment, surroundings) affect attractiveness (image and appraisal) of the traditional markets and revisit intention and suggest strategic methods for revitalization of the traditional markets. Results of this research are drawn from a survey of customers who visit any of the twenty-two traditional markets in the Seoul area at least twice a week. Moreover, the theory is verified through the structural equation model analysis using the SPSS win 18.0 and AMOS 18 version statistics package. From the determinant factors of visiting traditional markets, parking facility, physical environment, and the surroundings were significant in image attractiveness; benefits, mutual interaction effects, and physical environment showed significant effects on appraisal attractiveness. Additionally, image attractiveness was not significantly influential in retention proneness while appraisal attractiveness was a key factor in deciding whether or not to revisit. Therefore, improvement in image is important but appraisal aspects like product reliability that customers can personally assess, are more essential for revitalization of traditional markets.

To know whether a short-term exposure to a commonly used insecticide induces subtle negative toxic effects, female western mosquitofish, Gam-busia affinis, were exposed to 0.1, 0.5, and 1 pub endosulfan for one week and subsequently examined for their olfactory and sexual attractiveness to conspecific males. A short-term exposure to endosulfan did not impair the physical conditions investigated in this study nor did it disrupt olfactory attractiveness of female mosquitofish. However, 1 ppb endosulfan significantly reduced sexual attractiveness of exposed females. Test males showed significantly less copulation attempts with the exposed females. Our results suggest that in the field, a short term exposure of endosulfan may disrupt mating processes in non-targeted aquatic organisms.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the differences of the visual image on the variations in the waist position and the width of the wide pants. The stimuli were 9 samples: 3 variations of the waist position and 3 variations of the width of hem line. The data was obtained from 56 fashion students and analyzed by using Factor Analysis, Anova, Scheffe's Test and the MCA method. The results of this study are as follows; 1. The visual evaluation by the waist position and the width of the wide pants is composed of 4 factors: attractiveness, physical characteristics, modesty, and personality. Among these factors, the attractiveness was the most important. 2. The high waist pants showed the most characteristic and soft under the condition that the width of the hem line was 98cm at the third stage, while the natural waist pants showed no characteristics and stiff in case the width of the hem line was 66cm at the first stage. 3. The first stage pants were simplest and modest in case the waist position was low, while the third stage pants were the most complicated and untidiest in case the waist position was natural. 4. The waist position and the width of the wide pants interacted with the physical characteristics and the modesty. 5. According to the MCA on the attractiveness and the personality, the width affected to the visual image of the wide pants than the waist position did.
Previous research has demonstrated that imagined contact is useful to reducing prejudice against minorities (e.g. Turner & Crisp, 2010). In this research, we investigated whether imagined contact increases attraction to physically unattractive women, and whether this effect is moderated by perceiver's physical attractiveness and appearance orientation in romantic relationships. Single male participants (n = 98) responded to items assessing their physical attractiveness and appearance orientation, and then were randomly assigned to one of the two conditions. In the imagined contact condition, participants were told to imagine communicating with a physically unattractive woman and come up with some interesting things about her. In the control condition, participants were told to simply imagine a physically unattractive woman. Next, participants saw a picture of a physically unattractive woman and rated her likeability, perceived attractiveness, and willingness to ask her out, which were averaged to form the composite measure of attraction. We found a significant main effect of imagined contact, as expected. This main effect was moderated by appearance orientation, but not by perceivers' physical attractiveness. The effect of imagined contact was significant among those low in appearance orientation, but not among those high in appearance orientation.
