프탈로시아닌 유도체 합성 및 광학응답특성 연구

  • Recently, Phthalocyanine dye has attentions due to their excellent photochemical properties and used to optical applications such as chemical sensors. And azo groups can change photochemical properties in the UV irradiation because their molecualr structure reverse cis-trans isomer and changes cooperative motion, aggregation and so on. In this study, we synthesized the azo compound between amino pyridine and phenol. this azo derivative used the combination with 3-nitro phthalonitrile and makes phthalocyanine structure through the synthesis with 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene(DBU), zinc acetate. Finally, we synthesized a new photoswiching dye zinc-phthalocyanine azo compound. This compound was studied by phothoswichiing phenomenon by UV irradiation and analyzed molecular aggregation through the SEM images.

  • We studied the electrical properties of Copper(II)-phthalocyanine (Cu-Pc) as a hole transport layer in organic light emitting devices (OLEDs). OLEDs were constructed with ITO/CU-Pc/triphenyl-diamine (TPD)/tris-(8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum ( Alq$_3$) + 4- (Dicyanomethylene)-2-methyl-6-(4-dimethylaminostyryl)-4H-pyran (DCM)/Al. It was consisted of a thin DCM in Alq$_3$emission layer. We observed that the change of recombination zone was moved toward the cathode as the hole mobility increased due to the heat-treatment temperature of Cu-Pc layer increased.

Interfacial Properties in Cu-phthalocyanine-based Hybrid Inorganic/Organic Multilayers

  • Interfacial properties of 5 nm MgO(001)/7 nm Fe(001)/1.8 nm MgO(001)/t nm Cu-phthalocyanine (CuPc) hybrid multilayers with t = 0, 1, 7, and 10 were investigated by using x-ray photoemission spectroscopy (XPS). Rather sharp interfacial properties were observed in the CuPc films grown on an epitaxial MgO/Fe/MgO(001) trilayer than a MgO/Fe(001) bilayer. This work suggests a new way to improve device performance of organic spintronic devices by utilizing an artificially grown MgO(001) thin layer.

  • It is well known that the metallophthalocyanine (MPcs) are sensitive to toxic gaseous molecules such as $NO_2$ and also chemically and thermally stable. Therefore, lots of MPcs are studied for the potential chemical sensor for $NO_2$ gas using quartz crystal microbalance(QCM) or electrical conductivity. In this study, thin films of octa(2-ethylhexyloxy) copper-phthalocyanine were prepared by Langmuir-Blodgett method and characterized by using UV-VIS spectrascopy and ellipsometry. Transfer condition, film characterization, and preliminary results of current-voltage(I-V) characteristics of these films exposed to $NO_2$ gas as a function of film thickness will be discussed.

  • It is well known that the metallo-phthalocyanines (MPcs) are sensitive to toxic gaseous molecules such as NO$_2$ and also chemically and thermally stable and it is recently reported that SnO$_2$ thin films have a selective sensitivity to NO$_2$ and SO$_2$ gas. Therefore, it is interesting to prepare phthalo-cyanine Langmuir-Boldgett(LB) films containing tin as a chemical sensor for NO$_2$ and SO$_2$ gas and test the selectivity with these tin containing LB films. First, in this study, ultra thin films of Octa (2-ethylhexyloxy) tin-phthalocyanine were prepared on various substrates by LB method. $\pi$-A isotherm and transfer characteristics of these films were investigated. The formation of these films was determined by ellipsometry. Intrinsic current-voltage(I-V) characteristics of these films were also measured.

  • Copper Phthalocyanine (CuPc) thin films were fabricated on the silicon wafers by plasma activated evaporation method and structural analysis were carried out with various spectroscopies. The CuPc films had dense and smooth morphology and they also showed good mechanical properties and chemical resistance. The main molecular structure of the CuPc, which is the conjugated aromatic heterocyclic ring structure, was maintained even in the plasma process. However, metal-ligand (Cu-N) bands were deformed by the plasma process and the structure became amorphous especially at higher process pressures. Oxygen impurities were incorporated in the film and carboxyl functional groups were formed at the peripheral benzene ring. The structure and morphology of the films were dependent on the process pressure but relatively irrespective of the RF power.

구리 프탈로시아닌 촉매의 VOCs 산화 특성 (Characteristics of VOCs Oxidation using Copper Phthalocyanine Catalysts)

  • The catalytic oxidation of volatile organic compounds (methanol. acetaldehyde) has been characterized using the copper phthalocyanine catalyst in a fixed bed flow reactor under atmospheric pressure. The catalytic activity for pretreatment conditions was examined by this reaction system. The catalytic activity was ordered as follows: metal free-PC<Cu ($\alpha$)-PC<Cu ($\beta$)-PC The formaldehyde, carbon monoxide as a partial oxidation product of methanol and acetaldehyde over Cu ($\alpha$)-PC catalyst were detected and the conversions of methanol and acetaldehyde were accomplished above 95% over Cu ($\alpha$) -PC, Cu ($\beta$) - PC catalyst at 35$0^{\circ}C$. The pretreated metal free -PC, Cu($\alpha$)-PC, Cu($\beta$)-PC catalysts have been characterised by TGA, EA and XRD analysis. The catalytic activity pretreated with air and $CH_3$OH mixture (P-4) or air only (P-5) was very excellent. XRD and EA results showed that Cu($\alpha$)-PC, Cu($\beta$)-PC were destroyed an(1 new metal oxide such as CuO were formed.

  • Langmuir-Blodgett(LB) method is one of the ways of fabricating organic ultra thin films. It is well known that It has the advantage to control the alignment and orientation of the molecules in the films. Metallo-phthalocyanines (MPcs) are sensitive to electron affinitive toxic gaseous molecules, such as $NO_2$, NO, $SO_2$. In this study, thin films of octa-dodecyloxy copper-phthalocyanine were prepared by LB method and characterized by using UV/Vis absorption spectroscopy and ellipsometry. Optimal transfer condition of LB films was investigated and preliminary results of current-voltage (I-V) characteristics of these films exposed to $NO_2$ gas as a function of film thickness.

Rubbing effect on orientation of Copper Phthalocyanine for flexible organic field-effect transistors

  • Copper phthalocyanine (CuPc) Field-effect transistors (FETs) was successfully fabricated on plastic substrates. Orientation of CuPc crystallites on substrate could be obtained via rubbing process. It was revealed that CuPc crystallites were perpendicularly aligned on PES substrates with the rubbing direction. The performance of FETs was affected by orientation of CuPc on rubbed substrates.

  • In this study, ruin films of Octla-dodecyloxy copper-phthalocyanine were prepared by Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) method and characterirzed by using UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy and ellipsometry. [1],r[2] Optimal transfer condition of LB films was investigated and preliminary results of current-voltage(1-V) characteristics of these films exposed to NO$_2$ gas as were discussed functions of film thickness, temperature and NO$_2$ gas concentration.
