The solar cells should be operated at the maximum power point because its output characteristics are greatly fluctuated on the variation of insolation, temperature and load. Photovoltaic system needs an inverter which can interface the dc output power of solar cell with the residential ac load. The inverter has to supply a sinusoidal current and voltage to the load and the utility line with a high power factor. This paper proposes an utility interactive photovoltaic system designed with a step-up chopper and a PWM voltage source inverter. The step-up chopper operates in continuous mode by adjusting the duty ratio so that the photovoltaic system tracks the maximum power points of solar cell without any influence on the variation of insolation and temperature. The voltage source inverter operates in a manner that its output voltage is in phase with the utility voltage. The inverter supplies an ac power with high factor and low level of harmonics to the load and the utility power system.
For DC-AC power conversion from a high-voltage photovoltaic panel to a single-phase grid, the two-stage transformerless inverter with a buck-boost converter followed by a full-bridge inverter is widely used. To avoid an excessive leakage current due to the large parasitic capacitance of the photovoltaic panel, the full-bridge inverter can only adopt the bipolar PWM which results in much higher power loss compared to the unipolar PWM. In order to overcome such a poor efficiency, this paper proposes a new topology in which an IGBT and a diode for circuit isolation are added to the buck-boost converter. The proposed circuit isolation method allows the unipolar PWM in the full-bridge inverter without any increase in the leakage current so that the overall efficiency can be improved. The validity of the proposed solution is verified by computer simulation and power loss calculation.

In this paper proposed method of maximum power point tracking using boost converter for a connected single phase inverter with photovoltaic system. The maximum power point tracking control is based on generated circuit control MOSFET switch of boost converter and single phase inverter uses predicted current control to control four IGBT's switch in full bridge. The predicted current control provide current with sinusoidal wave shape and inphase with voltage. The generation control circuit allows each photovoltaic module to operate independently at peak capacity, simply by detecting of the output power of the system. Furthermore, the generation control circuit attenuates low-frequency ripple voltage, which is caused by the full-bridge inverter, across the photovoltaic modules. Consequently, the output power of system is increased due to the increase in average power generated by the photovoltaic modules. The effectiveness of the proposed inverter system is confirmed experimentally and by means of simulation.
A new inverter topology for single-phase photovoltaic (PV) systems is proposed in this study. The proposed inverter offers a four-level voltage in its output terminals. This feature results in easier filtering in comparison with other conventional two-level or three-level inverters. In addition, the proposed four-level inverter (PFLI) has a transformer-less topology, which decreases the size, weight, and cost of the entire system and increases the overall efficiency of the system. Although the inverter is transformer-less, it produces a negligible leakage ground current (LGC), which makes this inverter suitable for PV grid-connected applications. The performance of the proposed inverter is compared with that of a four-level neutral point clamped inverter (FLNPCI). Theoretical analysis and computer simulations verify that the PFLI topology is superior to FLNPCI in terms of efficiency and suitability for use in PV transformer-less systems.
This paper proposes a soft-switching current -source inverter for photovoltaic power system, which has an H-type switched-capacitor module composed of two semiconductor switches, two diodes, and an L-C resonant circuit. The operation of proposed system was analyzed by a theoretical approach with equivalent circuits and verified by computer simulations with SPICE and experimental works with a hardware prototype. The proposed system could be effectively applied for the power converter of photovoltaic power system interconnected with the power system.

The photovoltaic power generation system has a great future as clean energy instead of fossil fuel which has many environmental problems such as exhausted gas or air pollution. In a utility interactive photovoltaic generation system, a three-phase inverter is used for the connection between the photovoltaic array and the utility. This paper presents a three phase inverter for photovoltaic power system with current controller, voltage controller PLL control system and the phase detector of interactive voltage by using do transformation. The proposed inverter system provides a sinusoidal are current for domestic loads and the utility line with unity power factor. The results of the operated from January to October show the system characteristics.

The industrial products to use single phase inverter are raised the necessity of power quality improvement, such as AC Motor Driver, Lighting, Renewable energy power converter. Also, it is increasing that applied the single phase multilevel inverter for high quality power at renewable energy power converter. Especially, the photovoltaic multilevel inverters have at least more than two DC_Link and more than one DC/DC Converter. This paper proposes a triple output DC/DC Converter with one switch for photovoltaic multilevel inverter. The proposed converter has advantages of low cost and volume because it has one switch. The operation principle of the converter is analyzed and verified. A prototype is implemented to verify of the proposed converter.
This paper presents grid connected photovoltaic inverter system using a new Zero-Current-Transition(ZCT) technique. The main switches of the proposed grid connected inverter are turned off under the zero current condition by operating the auxiliary circuit and also all semiconductor devices, switches and diodes, are applied to low rated voltage regardless of the load condition. In additionally, the proposed ZCT scheme has advantages, which are without the additional current stresses and the conduction losses on the main switches during the resonance period of the auxiliary circuit. The simulation was performed to verify the validity of the proposed grid connected photovoltaic ZCT inverter system.

A junction box used in a 3 kW photovoltaic power generation system plays a role in collecting and supplying the direct current voltage produced by photovoltaic modules to an inverter. It is also used for facilitating maintenance checks and protecting the module and inverter by keeping the voltage constant. As for the junction box, using it in a parallel connection creates a difference between the setup modules. In order to compensate, an inverse voltage diode is used. But the high-power created through the solar generator can be delivered to the inverter through the inverter regularly. Therefore, a component can break down due to excess heat. And consequently short circuits and electric leakage occurs. In this study, using a junction box that enabled the bypass of high electric power, it was possible to reduce heat generation by approximately 35℃ when compared to a standard junction box.
