Monitoring of plasma and spatter with photodiode in $CO_2$ laser welding (고출력 $CO_2$ 레이저 용접시 포토 다이오드를 이용한 플라즈마와 스패터 모니터링)

  • Laser-welded Tailored Blank is the hottest thing in many automobile companies. But they demand on weld quality, reproducibility, and formability. So it is the great problem of automation of laser welding process. Therefore, it is requested to construct on-line process monitoring system on high accuracy. The light which is emitted from plasma and spatter in laser welding was detected by photo-diodes. It was found that the light intensity depends on welding speed. laser power, and flow rate of assist gas. The relationship between the plasma and spatter and the weld quality can be used for on-line laser weld monitoring systems.

Real-time Compensation of Motion Errors Using Extended Twyman-Green Interferometry (확장 트와이만-그린 간섭계를 이용한 운동 오차의 실시간 보상)

  • This paper presents an extended Twyman-Green interferometry that enables simultaneous and real-time measurement of 5-DOF motion errors of the translational moving stage. This method uses a null balancing technique in which two plane mirrors are used as target mirrors to generate an interferometric fringe utilizing the optical principles of Twyman-Green interferometry. Fringe is detected by 2D photodiode array for high-speed measurement. Errors are then independently suppressed by activation of piezoelectric actuators through real-time feedback control while the machine axis is moving. Experimental results demonstrate that a machine axis can be controlled with motion errors about 10 nm in linear displacement, 0.15 arcsec in angular displacement.

  • In this paper, we implement the volume pulse detection system which can quantitatively represent an artery elasticity. The system consists of transducer which has IRLED-photodiode detecter, temperature sensor, filters, preprocessing circuits, A/D converter, serial communication part and computer system. In order to presume the artery elasticity information we measure the volume pulse at four points and then evaluate the transition time, distance and the correlation coefficient of the pulse wave between the points. We test the system with 10 subjects during the week for basic experiment and obtain the data at four points. As the result of experiment, we can detect normalized volume pulse wave and evaluated parameter with effectively.

  • Electircal characteristics of HgCdTe photodiodes with a heterostructure to achieve high performance are analyzed numerically. A two-dimensional device simulator which can handle a HgCdTe heterostructure, was developed for this work. The effects of band nonparabolicity, carrier degeneracy, and band-offset of heterointerace are included in a carrier transport model. A unified generation-recombination model includes simultaneously phonon-assisted tunneling and pure tunneling of carriers via traps is newly employed for describing the electric field and temperature dependency of dark current effectively. Furthermore, to accurately predict the effect mole fraction variations on genration rates, ray-trace algorithm is incorporated in the our simulator. Under the various circumstances such as dark, illumination, and surface states, electrical properties of planar heterostructure photodiode are presented and those of homojunction are compared. These results serve as a explanation of cap layer's role on performance.

  • In this paper, a optical current transformer has been designed and favricated to improve temperature stability caused materials properties and insulation in measuring system, suing single crystal as faraday effect cells. We used 850[nm] Laser diode as the light source and PIN Photodiode as receiver. For the experiment, the temperature transformation device make by aluminum. The range of current was from 0[A]$\sim$1600[A] and the range of temperature was from -20[$^{\circ}C$] to 50[$^{\circ}C$]. In a same experimental condition magnitude increased input current increase follow by increasing proportion of input current. The result of this study shows that characteristics of OCT are good, and it can be reflected for practical optical sensors.

  • Organic photovoltaic effects were studied in a device structure of ITO/CuPc/Al and ITO/CuPc/$C_{60}$/BCP/Al. A thickness of CuPc layer was varied from 10nm to 50nm, we have obtained that the optimum CuPc layer thickness is around 40nm from the analysis of the current density-voltage characteristics in CuPc single layer photovoltaic cell. From the thickness-dependent photovoltaic effects in CuPc/$C_{60}$ heterojunction devices, higher power conversion efficiency was obtained in ITO/20nm CuPc/40nm $C_{60}$/Al, which has a thickness ratio (CuPc:$C_{60}$) of 1:2 rather than 1:1 or 1:3. Light intensity on the device was measured by calibrated Si-photodiode and radiometer/photometer of International Light Inc(IL14004).

  • A computer simulation was performed to distinguish quantitatively a color reaction in a urine analysis systems by using the spectral power distribution of LEDs. the spectral reflectance of a urine strip. and the spectral sensitivity of photodiode. The CIE tristimulus values and CIE chromaticity coordinates ware modified to be conformable with real color reactions in a urine strips. Results on color simulation showed a of real color in comparison with those obtained by Colorimeter CM2C(Color Savvy).

  • Color simulation on a portable colorimeter was performed to distinguish quantitatively a chromaticity coordinates on a color guide of a urine strips by using the spectral power distribution of chip LED, the spectral reflectance of printed objects, and the spectral sensitivity of photodiode. The CIE tristimulus values and chromaticity coordinates realized by a colorimeter were modified to be conformable with real color reactions. Experimental results showed a real color in comparison with those obtained by Colorimeter CM2C(Color Savvy).

  • 본 논문에서는 실리콘을 기초로 한 포토다이오드를 제작하여 현재 바이오센서에서 이용되고 있는 luminol 화학 발광을 전기적으로 검출하였다. 우선, 실리콘 웨이퍼에 이온주입을 통해 p-n 접합을 형성하고 Al 전극을 형성시켜 포토다이오드를 제작하였다. PDMS을 passivation 막으로 사용하여 horseradish peroxidase(HRP) 농도 변화에 따른 발광의 최적조건과 luminol, HRP가 섞인 용액에 서로 다른 양의 과산화수소를 넣어 발광이 최대로 발생하는 혼합비를 측정하였다. 최종적으로 2mM luminol, 25U HRP 조건 하에서 과산화수소 농도에 따른 화학 발광을 측정하였으며, $10{\mu}M$부터 $500{\mu}M$ 범위의 과산화수소 농도 변화에 따른 포토다이오드의 감도는 단위 면적당 23.429pA/ ${\mu}M$이다.

  • 본 논문은 혈당, 콜레스테롤센서에 적용이 가능한 과산화수소($H_2O_2$) 검출방식인 전기화학발광(Electrochemiluminescence:ECL)법 사용에 필요한 전극특성에 관한 연구이다. 전기화학전극으로 Pt박막전극을 사용하였으며, luminol(5-amino-2, 3-dihydro-1, 4-phthala edione)과 과산화수소($H_2O_2$)의 반응으로 발생한 빛을 포토다이오드(photodiode)를 사용하여 전류를 측정하였다. 사용된 전극은 직사각형(rectangular-type), 교차형(interdigitated-type)의 두 가지 형태를 사용하여, 전극간의 거리와 면적에 따른 ECL특성을 측정하였다. ECL 발광 특성은 전극 면적이 증가함에 따라, 전극거리가 감소함에 따라 증가함을 관찰할 수 있었다.
