Change of color transfer of Photochromic lens (Photochromic 렌즈의 광변색 이동)

  • To Photochoromic lens light irradiation side darkening status and fading status photo-transmittance decrease. If remove light irradiation, get into fading state and photo-transmittance has reversibility process that get back originally in state. Get CIE $L^*a^*b^*$ relationship colorimetric using darkening in Photochoromic lens and at fading process. Photochromism's spectrophotometer that produce itself. Darkening and fading state colorimetric ($a^*-b^*$) linear be curvy, and is gradidnt of (-) value. And change lineally. The colorimetric transfer amount is Blue ${\rightarrow}$ Yellow, Red ${\rightarrow}$ Green form. Colorimetric is low $b^*$ value than darkning state in fading state, and Photochromism's coodination transfer moves on the contrary with darkning state, photochoromism relationship estimation method about photochoromic lens can use by colorimetric difference about darkening and fading.

  • Dendrimers represent a new class of synthetic macromoleculcs characterized by a regularly branched treelike structure. Multiple branching yields a large number of chain ends that distinguish dendrimers from conventional star-like polymers and microgels. The azobenzene dendrimer is one of the dendrimeric macromolecules that include the azo-group exhibiting a photochromic character. Due to the presence of the charge transfer element of the azo-group and its rod-shaped structure, these compounds are expected to have potential interest in electronics and photoelectronics, especially in nonlinear optics. In the present paper, we give pressure stimulation to organic thin films and detect the induced displacement current. Functional photoisometrization organic molecular the photo-stimulus to organic monomolecular L films and LB films of dendrimer and 8A5H were performed. The 8A5H organic monolayer in case of pressure stimulus occurred that positive course but in case of the photo-stimulus compared positive and negative. It is assumed that generation forms of displacement current were measured when photo-stimulus for impression.

Photochromic Properties of Cellulose Derivatives Having Spirobenzopyran Group (스피로벤조피란을 포함하는 셀룰로오스 유도체의 광변색 특성)

  • Cellulose acetate derivatives containing 6-(p-hexyloxyphenyl)carbonyl spirobenzopyran (CA-COSP) were prepared from base-catalyzed etherification of cellulose acetate, and their physical and photochromic properties were characterized. The degree of substitution of COSP was calculated from the amount of residual hydroxyl groups in cellulose acetate measured by the $^1H$-NMR and UV spectrometric data. It was ranging from 0.87 to 45.5% depending on the reaction condition. UV/vis spectrometry of the resulting CA-COSP revealed that the polymer shows a reversible color change by changing its color from colorless to blue upon UV irradiation forming a merocyanine structure, and returning back again to colorless spiropyran structure by visible light or by heat. The rate of color change was faster in solution than in the film. In the more polar solvent, the more stable was the resulting merocyanine, and the slower was the rate of reverse reaction to spiropyran. Compared to COSP blended with cellulose acetate, in which a phase separation was observed for samples containing more than 0.9 wt% of COSP, up to 48 wt% of COSP could be blended in CA-COSP without phase separation.

  • A new photochromic spiroxazine dye having a pyridinium s-triazine moiety has been prepared. It shows a reversible photochemical color change from colorless to reddish-purple in ethanol solution. In ethanol solution the half life time of the open form was 150sec, which was shortened by raising temperature. Silica-immobilized spiroxazine(6). Fine power of silica-immobilized spiroxazine was changed intensely blue from colorless by U.V. light or sunlight.

  • The Aggregation State of thin vapor deposite Film made by Cyanine Dye were changed into Monomeric molecular state(M) and Dimeric Aggregation(D) at the acidic treatment, into reversible H-Aggregation (H) at alkalic gas or heat treatment. Photo-electric properties were higher H than D and M, this stats were effective in enhancing Photoelectric-conversion characteristic. Substitute group of Meso-Position being stronger electronic Donors, Electronic density is higher and Electric conductivity is enhanced, we confirmed Oscillator Strength calculated by PPP-Molecular Orbital Calculation and Absorption Spectra at solvent stats were agreed good.

  • The ultraviolet (UV) degradation products of photochromic naphthoxazine and naphthopyran derivatives in acetonitrile were separated and identified using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS). Photodegradation resulted in oxidation of products.

  • The recent results concerning the synthesis and application of spiroxazine dyes have been summerized., The absorption bands of usual spiroxazine dyes are changed from colorless to colored from by irradiation of ultraviolet ray. This mechanism is derived from the cleavage of oxazine ring. Such properties are dependent on its chemical structure and surrounded matrix of spiroxazine dyes. the chemical structure of this dye is similar to the well known spriopyran. But spiroxazine dyes have noticed recently, because of excellent high light-sensitivity and superior fatigue-resistant property. This dye are already applied as photochromic lens, cloths and UV light checker.
