인 제거를 위한 패각의 활용법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Use of Oyster Shells for Phosphorus Removal)

  • 우리나라에서 대부분의 호수는 인이 제한영양염인 것으로 나타나고 있다. 그러므로 인의 제거는 하수처리에서 중요한 공정이라고 할 수 있다. 그러나 많은 하수처리장은 재래식처리공정으로 처리하고 있으며 인의 제거율이 $10{\sim}30%$로 낮게 나타나 인의 제거공정은 필요하게 되었으며 패각은 수중의 인을 제거할 수 있는 것으로 알려지고 있어서 인의 활용이 주목된다. 회분식으로 패각을 이용하여 인의 제거율을 조사한 결과 패각의 크기가 작을수록, pH가 높을수록 제거율이 높게 나타났다. 또한 칼슘의 주입농도를 달리하여 처리한 결과 칼슘의 농도가 높을수록 처리효율이 증가하였으며 칼슘의 농도를 20mg/L로 조절하여 실험한 결과 2시간 내에 90% 이상의 제거율을 나타내었다. 재순환을을 변화시켜 실험한 결과 재순환율이 증가할수록 제거율은 증가하였으며 PH 11에서 재순환율을 300%로 조절한 결과 인의 제거율은 80%가 되었다. 중탄신이온의 영향을 평가하기 위하여 중탄산이온의 농도를 달리하여 실험한 결과 중탄산이온의 증가에 따라 인의 제거율은 감소하는 것으로 나타났으며 감소하는 비율은 지수함수로 나타났다.

팔당호 연안대 초지생태계에서 낙엽 구성성분의 유실률 III.인 (The Removal Rates of the Constituents of Litters in the Littoral Grassland Ecosystems in the Lake Paldangho III.Phosphorus)

  • To estimate removal rate of phosphorus in aquatic grassland ecosystems of Paldangho, this investigation was conducted along with the coast of a lake. The experimental results may be summarized on communities of Typha angustata, Miscanthus sacchriflorus Phragmites communis and Scirpus tabernaemontani as follows. The annual production of phosphorus for the litters in T. angustata, M saccharsflorus, P. cam-munis and S. taiernaemontani grasslands were 10.252 g /$m^2$, 3.833 g /$m^2$, , 2.656 g /$m^2$, and 5.210 g /$m^2$, respectively. The ratio of annual production of P accumulated on surface soils in a steady state provides estimates of the removal rate r, The estimated removal rates r of P were 0.58, 0.78, 0.68 and 0.59 in T. angustata, M. sacchariflorus, P. communis and S. tabernaemontani grasslands re- spectively. The removal and accumulation of 50, 95 and of 99% of its steady state level, the estimates for P of T. angustata were 1.195, 5.173 and 8.623 years, in M. sacchariflorus were 0.880, 3.842, and 6.403 years, and in P. cammunis were 1.014, 4.390, and 7.316 years respectively, In S. tabernaemontani grassland required period were 1.178,5.099 and 8.500. (AO)2 SBBR에서 운전주기에 따른 질소와 인 제거 특성 비교 (Characteristics of Nitrogen and Phosphorus Removal According to the Variation of Operating Cycles in (AO)2 SBBR)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the variation of organic, nitrogen and phosphorus in $(AO)_2$ SBBR process according to the variation of operating cycle at the high TOC concentration. The operation time in anoxic (anaerobic) time to oxic time was 1:1. Three lab-scale SBBRS were fed with synthetic wastewater based on glucose as carbon source, The variation of total TOC removal was similar each other irrespective of operation time, however, the TOC concentrations in SBBRs showed a little difference according to the operating condition. In SBBR, complete nitrification was not occurred at all reactors, however, R3 showed a higher nitrification than R2. And in SBBR, the variation of operating time more affected at phosphorus removal than nitrogen removal. R2 which had the shortest time at the 1st aeration time showed the lowest phosphorus release and uptake efficacy.

철염 응집과 펜톤 산화를 이용한 인의 존재형태별 처리 (Treatment of Phosphorus Species using Iron Coagulation and Fenton Oxidation)

  • Effects of $H_2O_2$ addition for fenton oxidation on iron coagulation for treatment of phosphorus species, such as orthophosphate, metaphosphate, pyrophosphate, organic phosphate, were investigated. The effects of coagulant dosage, hydrogen peroxide dosage and the combined sequence ferric coagulation and $H_2O_2$ addition for fenton oxidation and coagulation were studied. The characteristics of floc growth rate were monitored using the PDA. The removal efficiencies of phosphorus species by iron coagulation were increased as Fe/P molar ratio increased. However, the removal efficiencies of metaphosphate, pyrophosphate, organic phosphate by a ferric coagulation were not increased as Fe/P molar ratio increased. The removal efficiency of metaphosphate, pyrophosphate, organic phosphate was increased by using iron coagulation and $H_2O_2$ addition for fenton oxidation. The result indicated that non-reactive phosphorus after iron coagulation was changed to reactive phosphorus by $H_2O_2$ addition for fenton oxidation and the oxidized iron enhanced the coagulation efficiencies.

  • A result of estimating the effects of initial phosphorus concentration and nitrogen sources on removal of nitrogen and phosphorus in wastewater treatment using Scenedesmus dimorphus shows that there was no difference in microalgae growth amount and nitrogen removal amount by phosphorus concentration(5 ~ 60 mg/L). On the other hand, as initial phosphorus concentration increased, phosphorus removal amount was increased by luxury uptake of microalgae. Scenedesmus dimorphus preferred to ammonia when ammonia(40 mg/L) and nitrate(40 mg/L) are simultaneously presented and nitrogen removal rate of ammonia was high at approximately 20 mg/L/day.

SBR에서 BNR 슬러지 식종비에 따른 영양염류 제거 특성 (Nutrient Removal Characteristics by the Addition Ratio of BNR Sludge in SBR)

  • Biological nutrient removal (BNR) sludge was added to a sequencing batch reactor (SBR) in the addition ratios of 0%, 20%, 40%, 50% while observing the variation of nutrient removal characteristics and microorganism groups. When the BNR sludge was added in a ratio over 40%, the characteristics of EBPR (enhanced biological phosphorus removal) was shown at the 27 days. However, a distinct BNR was not shown when the addition ratio of BNR sludge was lower than 40%. The organic removal efficiency were shown as 90% in all SBRs irrespective of the addition ratio of BNR sludge. At the 27 days, the phosphorus removal efficiencies were shown as 40%, 55%, 77% and 69%, respectively, according to the addition ratio of BNR sludge. Overall, efficient nitrification and phosphorus removal was shown when the added BNR sludge ratio was over 40%.

호기성 고정생물막 반응조에서 인의 제거 (Removal of Phosphorus in Aerobic Fixed Biofilm Reactor)

  • While the enhanced biological phosphorus removal(EBPR), in anaerobic/aerobic condition, was known to remove phosphorus by means of metabolism of poly-P microorganisms, the phosphorus removed could be released in the form of ortho-P in the aerobic fixed biofilm reactor. This study was initiated to investigate the cause of ortho-P release in the aerobic fixed biofilm reactor. The resutls indicated that the phosphorus release was caused by autooxidation. The synthesis and release of phosphrous were related to the ORP and the boundary value for the phase change was about 170mV. In the synthesis phase, the phosphorus removal rate per COD removed was $0.023mgP_{syn}/mgCOD_{rem}$. The phosprous contents of the microorganism were 4.3 ~ 6.0% on a dry weight basis.

알루미늄염에 의한 인 제거 시 pH와 초기 인 농도의 영향 (Effect of pH and Initial Phosphorus Concentration on Phosphorus Removal by Aluminum Salts)

  • Phosphorus (P) removal by aluminum sulfate solution was investigated with varying pH and initial P concentrations. P removal was the highest at around pH 6. The pH range where P removal occurred was slightly wider at higher initial P concentrations. Compared to theoretical calculations, it was confirmed that $AlPO_4$ precipitation was the main reason for P removal at low pH. At high pH, where there should be no $AlPO_4$ precipitates, the P removal by adsorption of amorphous $Al(OH)_3$ precipitates was experimentally observed. The P removal by adding amorphous $Al(OH)_3$ precipitates prepared before the adsorption experiments, however, was lower than that by injecting aluminum sulfate solution because the prepared precipitates became larger, leading to less specific surface area available for adsorption. Ions other than sulfate had little influence on P removal.

하수중의 질소.인 제거를 위한 $A^2$/O공정의 적용 (Application of $A^2$/O Process for Removal of Nitrogen and Phosphorus in Sewage)

  • In this study, the removal efficiencies of organics, nitrogens and phosphorus from municipal wastewater using $A^2$/O process were investigated. BO $D_{5}$ removal efficiencies were indicated 95% and 94% with HRT of 12 hr and 10 hr, respectively. CO $D_{Cr}$ average removal efficiency and concentration of effluent were indicated 87% and 34mg/$\ell$. SS average removal efficiency and concentration of effluent were indicated 93% and 4~17mg/$\ell$. T-N removal efficiency and concentration of effluent were shown as 60~80% and below 15mg/$\ell$. In aerobic basin, removal efficiency of N $H_4$-N was shown over 97% with N $H_4$-N volume load 0.16kg N $H_4$-N/㎥.d and in anoxic basin, denitrification efficiency was indicated over 80% with return sludge rate 0.5Q and internal recirculation rate 2.5Q. Removal efficiency and effluent concentration of phosphorus were shown over 80% and below 2 mg/$\ell$ with return sludge rate 0.5Q.Q.

자기분리가 가능한 지르코늄 자성 흡착제의 합성과 인 흡착 특성 (Synthesis and Phosphorus Adsorption Characteristics of Zirconium Magnetic Adsorbent Having Magnetic Separation Capability)

  • The purpose of this study, is to separate magnetic separation devices using permanent magnets by using magnetization characteristics remaining in treated water after adsorption and synthesizing phosphorus adsorbent capable of magnetic separation for efficient removal of phosphorus. The synthesis of the adsorbent which set Zirconium(Zr) having high friendly features for phosphorus as an element, and by synthesizing Iron Oxide($Fe_3O_4$, another name of $Fe_3O_4$ is magnetite) being able to grant magnetism to Zirconium Sulfate($Zr(SO_4)_2$), zirconium magnetic adsorbent(ZM) were manufactured. In order to consider the phosphorus adsorption characteristics of adsorbent ZM, batch adsorption experiment was performed, and based on the results, pH effect, adsorption isotherm, adsorption kinetics, and magnetic separation have been explore. As the experiment result, adsorbent ZM showed a tendency that the adsorption number was decreased rapidly at pH 13; however, it was showed a high amount of phosphorus removal in other range and it showed the highest amount of phosphorus removal in pH 6 of neutral range. In addtion, the Langmuir adsorption isotherm model is matched well, and D-R adsorption isotherm model is ranged 14.43kJ/mol indicating ion exchange mechanism. The result shown adsorption kinetics match well to the Pseudo-second-order kinetic model. The adsorbent ZM's capablility of regenerating NaOH and $H_2SO_4$, was high selectivity on the phosphorus without impacts on the other anions. The results of applying the treated water after adsorption of phosphorus to the magnetic separation device by using permanent magnets, shows that capture of the adsorbent by the magnetization filter was perfect. And they show the possibility of utilization on the phosphorus removal in water.
