ZnS:Cu의 청색 발광 특성과 염료 혼합비 의존성 (Blue Electroluminescent Properties and Dependent of Dye Mixed ratio of ZnS:Cu)

  • ZnS:Cu phosphor used on powder electroluminescent device has a green emission in low frequency and a blue emission in high frequency. In this paper, to obtain the powder electroluminescent device of the blue emission in low frequency, the emission properties with mixed the ratio between phosphor and dye was investigated. The mixed ratio of the dye was from 0 to 5 weight percent. To inquire into the blue emission, the emission spectrum, the CIE coordinate system and the brightness were measured.

Preparation and Optical Properties of $SrGa_2S_4$:Eu Phosphor

  • The photoluminescence and cathodoluminescence of $SrGa_2S_4:EU$ phosphor were optimized with the process and chemical variables (activators, fluxes and reaction temperature) used in solid state reaction. Firing the powder with flux at $800^{\circ}C$ for 2hr gave the highest photoluminescence efficiency under near-UV excitation and the highest cathodoluminescence efficiency of 20.1 lm/W at 2 kV and 33.3 lm/W at 10 kV. The suitability of $SrGa_2S_4:EU$ for application as a phosphor in LCDs and FEDs is discussed.

  • Primary emphasis was placed on the electrophoretic deposition of low voltage phosphor to indium-tin oxide-coated glass for the application of field emission display. The phosphor deposited by various parameters, such as deposition time and applied voltages was examined in detail. In addition, a comparison was made by analyzing luminance properties of the phosphor mixed with and without conducting $In_2O_3$ powder of less than 1um size. The measurement was performed as a function of $In_2O_3$ concentration from 3% to 15% by weight. The enhanced impact of indium powder mixing on the phosphor was clearly demonstrated by aging performance curve at 1000V excitation voltages with a current density of $1\;mA/cm^2$

  • Electroluminescence(EL) come from the light emission obtained by electrical excitation energy passing through a phosphor layer under applied high electrical field. The preparation and characterizations of light emitting ACPEL(alternating-current powder electroluminescent) cell based on two kinds of phosphor mixed ZnS:Mn, Cu and ZnS:Cu phosphor. Basic structure is ITO/Mixed Phosphor/insulator/Al sheet, each layer was mixed by binder, which concentration 11p for phosphor, 8p for insulator. Dielectric properties was investigated first and emission properties of P-LED based on ZnS:Mn,Cu/ZnS:Cu,Br mixture. Emission spectra exhibits two kinds of main peaks at 100V, 1kHz sinusoidal excitation.

  • Light-emitting diode(LEDs), diode arrays, and phosphor display panels are finding increased use in a variety of commercial applications. Present and anticipated application of these devices include solid state indicator and display systems. In this work, Phosphor based on ZnS:Cu are used. Relation by luminance with the thickness of insulating layer and phosphor layer are discussed. Increased thickness of insulating layer are stable on voltage to 300V. By considering thickness and voltage, optimal structure and thickness are investigated. In order to maximize even surface emission, various sieving processes are introduced. 150cd/m$^2$ luminance by various wave intensity are investigated in stable voltage and frequency.

  • In this paper, the Flexible information display was implemented uing AC powder electroluminescent device. ZnS:Cu and $BaTiO_3$ were used as a phosphor and dielectric respectively. The growth of phosphor and dielectric layer was performed with screen printing. The flexible information display in this paper was categorized as following; EL display, driving circuit, software for driving. EL spectrum and brightness was measured as the device properties.

  • We present a new toed phosphor, $Gd_{2-x-y}Li_xEu_yO_3$ with superior luminescent Properties compared to the commercially available red phosphor $Y_2O_3:Eu^{3+}$. The phosphor, with a diameter of about $2\mu\textrm{m}$, consists of the psedospherical particles in a regular array. The photoluminescence measurements as a function of the laser power and the Eu mole fraction were performed at zoom temperature The luminescence intensity linearly increases as both the laser power and the Eu mole fraction Increase. As for the dependence on cathodoluminescence, the incorporation of Eu and Li ions into $Gd_2O_3$ lattice brings about an increase in luminescent efficiency. The highest emission intensity for the phosphor occurs at the applied voltage of 500 V, its value is larger than that of $Y_2O_3:Eu^{3+}$ powder by 70%.

  • Plate-type phosphor is a promising substitute in overcoming the issues related to the powder phosphor paste mixed with resin. In this research, $Ca-{\alpha}-SiAlON:Eu^{2+}$ plate phosphor ($Ca_xSi_{12-(m+n)}Al_{m+n}O_nN_{16-n}:Eu_y$) was investigated for the varied compositions (m,n) of the host crystal with the fixed Eu content (y). Densification was promoted for the compositions with increasing 'm' values for the m=2n relationship. Dictated by the Eu concentration inside the phosphor crystal, photoluminescence intensity was stronger in ${\alpha}2$ specimen (m = 3.0, n = 1.5) containing the second phases when compared to ${\alpha}1$ specimen (m = 1.5, n = 0.75) comprising a single-phase ${\alpha}$-SiAlON. The concentration of Eu in the non-emitting amorphous interfacial glass phase was 2~4 times of the designed Eu concentration inside the ${\alpha}$-SiAlON crystal.

  • Green light emitting $Zn_2SiO_4$Mn and Al co-doped $Zn_2SiO_4$:Mn phosphor were synthesized by a sol-gel method combined with a furnace firing. The luminescent properties of the sample have been investigated. We have found that the phosphor powder with uniform shape show the maximum luminescent intensity when it is prepared with sol-gel method and fired at relatively high temperature ($1100{\sim}1300^{\circ}C$).
