  • Major studies of Home Economics have had an intention to keep the standard scientific perspective based on value-free and positivism. But in the early 20C there was a change within scientific philosophy and the holistic perspective has risen in the part of scocial and natural science. The phenomenon dealt in the field of Home Economics is the interaction between human and environment and it regards human and family behavior in the context of the environment as a major object. This interaction can be micro/macro and objectiv $e_jective, So it has a very complex trait. The goal of this study is to verify the applicability of Human Ecology as an alternative framework to explain each level of the family phenomena. Further it is concluded that it is very efficient to present Human Ecology as a general theory for Home Economics because there are increasing demands for understanding interdependence and persuing for balanced co-existence between human and encironment. Finally this study concludes that Human Ecology is not a past theory but a very comprehensive one to construct and abstract theory-building.ng.

  • Synectics is one of several techniques used to enhance brainstorming by taking a more active role and introducing metaphor and structure into the process. It is unclear at what level of specificity this should be formulated as a pattern. This thesis reviews recent computational as well as experimental work on analogical reasoning based on synectics. New results regarding information processing of analogical reasoning stages, major computational models and recent attempts to compare these models are reviewed. Computational models are also discussed in the computational as well as cognitive psychology perspectives. Future directions in analogical reasoning research are proposed. The following import is the need to accommodate the typology and normal assessment in the concrete circumstances where actual reasoning and problem solving take place. In order to get to this end, we used computational models by Thagard who take the stand of ‘Computational Philosophy of Science’, which assumes ‘Weak AI’ to explicate what constitute the very pecularity of Analogical Reasoning.

  • The objective of this study is to analyze the characteristics of Cutter's Expansive Classification. The four elements about classification evaluation were applied to analyze it. Results show that first, from philosophy and religion class to literature class, the order of main classes is logical and evolutionary. Second, the notation is a pure notation including author mark. Third, the classification is expansive from first classification to seventh classification. Science classes were expanded in the second classification comparing to the first classification. From the third classification, all classes were expanded. Fourth, it was applied by the local list to indicate places emphasizing connection of geographical space.

  • This article explores what is the genuine Koreanness in Korean arithmetic by examining what kind of influence the Chinese arithmetic had on the Korean arithmetic and how the Korean arithmetic scholars had accepted and utilized it. Because the main stream of Korean culture before the end of Chosun dynasty was located under the umbrella of the Chinese philosophy, technique, and culture, it is necessary to make researches on the historical documents and materials in order to establish the milestone in the Korean arithmetic history for the Korean arithmetic scholars. For this research, the arithmetic books published in between the sixteenth century and the end of Chosun dynasty are mainly consulted and discussed, dealing with the bibliographical introduction in the arithmetic Part in Re Outline History of the Korean Science & Technology written by Prof. Yong-Woon Kim.

  • Recent paradigm in technology shifts from object-based technology to environment-based technology. Issue here is interaction among humans and the world around humans. The world we consider includes natural and artificial "space." Interactive technology, which explore holistic interactions based on "Mom (embodiment)," suggests a good starting point for exploring this issue. Soft engineering, "Mom," holistic interactions, tangible space, ubiquitous computing, science of emotion, and interactive media are key concepts in interactive technology. Interactive tangible media "iT_Media" is proposed to explore and synthesize these ideas. Interactive technology initiative (ITI) is an interdisciplinary research group to search for the proper technology and the proper way of implementing technology: "interactive technology" or "soft engineering." Some experimental activities conducted by ITI are presented in this paper.tal activities conducted by ITI are presented in this paper.

  • I argue that STS education for engineers, despite its prima facie usefulness in demystifying the conventional image of science and technology, should deal with a few challenges in order to cultivate 'responsible' engineers. The challenges come from the fact that there are more than one legitimate way of understanding 'responsible' in the engineering contexts depending on how wide the range of responsibility is intended and on how the relevant reference class is defined. In order to tackle these issues, I suggest that we should take into account more seriously the 'value-laden' nature of the engineering design.

  • Web2.0 refers to a new service models based by a community oriented philosophy. This creates new opportunities for technology providers and service. The agricultural technology information service in the base of open source technology provide opportunities for increased distribution and visibility to farmer and general user. We would like to find out vest service models and platform that will find new ways of agriculture technology information service. This study suggests that these new agriculture information service strategy in new paradigm of web 2.0. should be revised and adapted to Open API and new applied strategy in agriculture should be developed considering the impact of web 2.0.

  • Today, mankind is falling in serious stress. So there are various way that heal men as human psychology, philosophy, medical science etc. And in recent years, interest in literature therapy has been focused to heal the human sense of spirit. In the future, we will be able to treat our spirit sense with AI Emotion. The treatment process can be induced by the system of emotion coding which AI Emotion deliver Emotion signals to Human body. For this study, we used the Ahn Min-young's Sijo. The reason is that his Sijo is useful this study of the Emotion Coding. As the result, Ahn Min-young's emotion coding created the codes as if amino acid codes. We must continue this research. Then our literature therapy could grow and contribute to human well-being.

  • Widespread recognition of the various aspects of science education has been prompted by post-positivist philosophers' discussions of the nature of science and intense debates among constructivist psychologists about learning in science. Their discussions and debates, in turn, have raised the problems associated with teaching/learning of science in the schools. The purpose of this article, basically based on the reviews and analyses of the literature related to philosophy of science and psychology, was to describe the implications of post-positivism and constructivism for current science education in the schools. In this paper, the author defines science education as education of/about science, and education through/by science. He also stresses that scientific literacy and decision-making should be emphasized as the goals of science education, that the ethical dimensions of science and technology must be included in science curriculum, that group discussion and/or cooperative learning are effective teaching strategy for science as interpreted by post-positivists and constructivists, and that the assessment should be focused on the degree to which cognitive structure has been changed through instruction in the school classrooms.
