  • The space is generally the discontinuation space without being understood agreed by some people. In this time, expressing transparency has various significances in furniture design because modern people want transparence and space due to the complication, numerous unreasonable facts and the lack of honesty in the society. Philip Johnson's Glass House in 1946 influenced architecture, interior, furniture and life article to use transparent materials and space that is being until currently development. The transparency which comes to be preferred clearly means to develop the society continuously. It can be more liberal, honest, and transparent society. The trend appeared in furniture design has meaning as the representative product. This research has perceptional transparency(visible transparency), abstract transparency through space(phenomenal transparency), overlap of surface element, display of line element, image using dot, and changing the image of various spaces.

  • Service quality is very important to marketers and consumers in that it has many strategic benefits in contributing to profitability of marketing activities and consumers' problem-solving activities. Moreover, despite the phenomenal growth of physical fitness centers little research has focused on the evaluation of service quality from exercisers' perspectives. The major purpose of this article is to explore the concept of two-factor model and its influences on exerciser's perception of quality. This article attempts to achieve its purpose by (1)classfying critical service attibutes into hygiene factors and satisfiers (2) measuring the relative importance of need criteria (3) evaluating SERVPERF model and SERVQUAL model in service sector and (4)identifying the relationship between overall satisfaction and behavior. In explaining the relationship between perceived performance and overall satisfaction only 27 out of original 33 survey items were appreared to be statistically significant. Hence a penalty-reward analysis was performed on these critical attributes to find out 11 satisfiers and 9 hygiene factors. In addition, it was found that only experience-based norms(SERVPERF model) were more appropriate than expectations to serve as a benchmark against which service experiences were compared(SERVQUAL model). However it must be noted that the degree of association to overall satisfaction was not consistent.

  • Biotechnology is often described as the 'exploitation of biological processes for industrial purposes'. The last twenty years have seen phenomenal growth in this industry. The 21 century promises to see further advances in the field. However, since the cost of research is high, and the potential returns are linked to exclusivity, intellectual property protection is critical to this burgeoning industry. Without protection such investments in R&D would not be made and, the benefit that BT-related development are expected to bring, would not occur. BT industry are eager for high technology, and the technology must be transferred to a corporation from a research organization. In order to be successful, it is important that scientist must be directed toward R&D outcome beyond performance assessment. The process to gain a outcome involves multiple steps to turn the idea into the profit, and intellectual property issues are considered into the critical factors to affect the quality of R&D. The management of Intellectual property is very important in R&D. However, According to the survey conducted by KIIP (Korea Institute of Intellectual Property) and KOSEF (Korea Science and Engineering Foundation) in 2006, it is estimated the ability to treat Intellectual property is not sufficient because 82.5% of the respondents have not received an education. Governmental Support is needed to prompt systematically the ability of intellectual property management through education and consulting.

  • An overview of the epidemiological, biological, and clinical studies of Taenia and taeniasis in Taiwan for the past century is presented. The phenomenal observations that led to the discovery of Taenia asiatica as a new species, which differ from Taenia solium and Taenia saginata, are described. Parasitological surveys of the aborigines in Taiwan revealed a high prevalence of taeniasis, which might be due to the culture of eating raw liver of hunted wild boars. Chemotherapeutic deworming trials involving many patients with taeniasis were discussed. Praziquantel was found to be very effective, but sometimes complete worms could not be recovered from the feces after treatment, probably due to the dissolution of the proglottids. Atabrine, despite some side effects, can still be used, in properly controlled dosages, as the drug of choice for human T. asiatica infection if we need to recover the expelled worms for morphological examinations. Research results on the infection of T. asiatica eggs from Taiwan aborigines in experimental animals were also noted. Since the pig serve as the natural intermediate host of T. asiatica and the predilection site is the liver, a differential comparison of other parasitic pathogens that might cause apparently similar lesions is also presented.

  • Purpose - This paper is to review recent literature, by conducting a thorough investigation of the limitations and implications for future research on work-life balance with the focus and linkages between work-life balance practices, machine learning and emotional intelligence, work-life conflict, the correlations between work-life enrichment and work-life balance practices, the relationships between employee job satisfaction and work-life balance, the links between work-life balance and the managerial support. Research design, data, and methodology - The paper will further detail linkages between work-life balance and organizational performance outcomes productivity and innovation. Previous literatures have paid attentions to the link of HR practices and organizational outcomes such as productivity, flexibility, and financial performance, but the understanding needs to be extended to involve innovation performance. Dealing with employees' emotions using different machine learning techniques is one of the phenomenal researches in today's world. Here, we examine how far the employees are conscious of their own self and found the ideas and views of an individual about themselves and others. Without proper knowledge about their personality it will be very difficult for an individual to manage their own emotions. This study also aims at finding out the individual abilities to manage their emotions in order to perform well. Conclusions - A theoretical conceptual framework has been built by integrating the existing literature to explain a number of factors which are closely associated with work-life balance. The conceptual model illustrates how the work-life balance interplays with performance and interrelates with the aforementioned factors.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate an epistemological recognition of rural society. This study suggests an epistemological reorientation for rural society circumscribing diverse theoretical thoughts as well as empirical evidences. Traditional theoretical perspectives in urban-rural dichotomy envisioned by modernistic idea have regarded rural society as a premodern and underdeveloped society. The perspectives also have regarded city as a symbol of civilization and development. These perspectives thought of the function of rural society as a periphery that can survive as a back-up for urban-oriented prosperity. This study shows that these idea have been concentrated on agricultural expansionism and productivism which do not function in the post-modem societies my longer. The present study argues that these modernistic idea give little understanding of implicit value of rural society. Owing to the functional change of rural society which is quite omnipresent in the 21'st centuries in the world, the present study argues that the value of rural society should work even in the market society that has traditionally been regarded as an working-mechanism in urban society. The present study drives a new insight showing that rural renaissance is an explicit existence instead of a phenomenal one.

  • In this research it is concentrated first of all on the attempts to reconstruct the historical context of the idea for the space design based on the natural construction and to re-appropriate il critically to the present context. Sequentially in the areas of philosophy, biology, neuroscience, and architecture it has been variously discussed on the problems about the synthesis of biology and techniques. In the context of the consilience of biology and technique Werner Nachtigall, who has intended to shed light on the morphological principles in the natural construction, founded the 'Bionik', which is different from the bionics or the biomechanics that are oriented to the imitation of natural forms. The space design that is on the basis of the Bionik treats organisms as a functional whole. Therefore the Bionik space design follows two kinds of principle such as the principle of analogy and the principle of optimization. After all the understanding of the consilience of nature and technique for Nachtigall and Bionik designers tends toward the explication of the complex process in which the human perceptions, the environment, and the phenomenal techniques are united together, and this complex process is associated with the space design based on the Bionik.

  • Growth in the use of mobile commerce services (MCS) as an enabler to conduct business more effectively has been phenomenal. Technology acceptance model (TAM) has been applied in different contexts to examine a wide range of information technology. As more and more companies are finding ways to utilize MCS, an important issue is to understand what factors will affect the decisions of consumers in adopting the services. Based on TAM with two additional groups of external factors (i.e., service-related factors [ubiquitous access and contextual service] and technology-related factors [perceived security risk and network connectivity]) that are theoretically justified to affect both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, which are also considered, a research model for the investigated technology acceptance was developed and empirically examined. The major results of this study are as follows. First, ubiquitous access affects perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Contextual service affects perceived usefulness. Second, perceived security risk affects perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Finally, network connectivity affects perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use.

  • Carbonation is measured as Phenolphthalein Solution, it is possible to confirm the scope of alkali through acid and basic reaction. Then, Concrete Basic Reaction is decided according to alkali concentration depending on Potassium Hydroxide Now that Carbonation is gradually produced toward inner side from outer side, with time going by, it doesnt work, to some adequate depth, in as fast time as compulsory facilitating test. Thus, this research thesis made a comparative analysis on concrete phenomenal discoloration borderline following Phenolphthalein Solution, as part of a bid to measure Carbonation. Also, the thesis measured Concrete Alkali Concentration. The result showed that concrete coloring is classified into red and scarlet according to alkali concentration, and into borderline breakpoint of the speckle of scarlet and carbonation reaction. The higher chroma becomes with concrete decolorizing, the higher alkali concentration becomes.

  • With the increasing trend of popularity of websites and social networking sites, it is quite evident that companies need to take cautionary measures in protecting the reputations with respect to company and brands. In this process, every company should indulge in enhancing their company and brand image through websites and social networking sites that fortify the bonding nature among them. The always-on nature of websites and social networking sites has contributed to their phenomenal marketing power and altered the balance of power between consumers and firms. Websites and social networks are used by hundreds of millions of people to communicate about a huge range of topics, including personal interests, activities, social events and even public issues. The paper explores a case study of the Ritz-Carlton hotel for their marketing strategy and organizational use of their website and social media in communicating with their customers. Even for the normal luxury traveler who would not have previously used the Internet to research a hotel or make a reservation, ritzcarlton.com is making it possible for them to do so in a sense of the luxury and typical Ritz-Carlton style. It seems to be a staple of the company for years to come.
