The Si(ll1) surface structures induced by deposition of Au atoms were investigated by RHEED system. When Au atoms were deposited on the Si(ll1) $7\times7$ surfade, the dependence of structures and phases on the substrate temperatures and coverages was drastic. For O.1ML to 0.4ML of coverage the $7\times7$ structure changes to $7\times7$ + $5\times2$ structure as temperature increases to $350^{\circ}C$-$750^{\circ}C$. Between 0.4M1 to 1.OML the phase changed to $5 \times 2,\alpha- \sqrt{3} \times \sqrt{3},\beta- \sqrt{3} \times \sqrt{3}$ structure according to the substrate temperature and coverages. When the coverages exceeds O.SML, the 6 x 6 structure appears at the substrate temperature range between $270^{\circ}C$-$370^{\circ}C$ and compeletely transforms to 6 x6 at 1,OML. The isothermal desorption of Au on Si(ll1) surface investigated by using AES in the $\alpha- \sqrt{3} \times \sqrt{3},5 \times 2$ structures shows that the desorption energys of $\alpha- \sqrt{3} \times \sqrt{3}$ and 5 x 2 were 79Kcal/mol and 82 Kcal/mol respectively.
To substitute TLS in the hybrid system which is combined with Sagnac interferometer and fiber bragg grating (FBG) it is necessary to investigate how the laser source (TLS and CW) and sensor material variate the response of fiber optic sensor. Two different hollow cylinder type mandrel materials are proposed which are PTFE and PTFE+carbon and 18 m optical fiber is wounded at the mandrel surface. CW laser source experiments had been done in the oil tank which is filled with transformer oil in the 1 kHz~20 kHz frequency range. Also Sagnac interferometer fiber optic sensor is combined with FBG called hybrid system and TLS used as a light source. Based on the experimental results PTFE sensor showed more higher magnitude of detection signal rather than carbon sensor and this result is agreement with the McMahon's theoretical results. Phase variation is inversely proportional to the elastic modulus of the mandrel material. In PTFE fiber sensor, tunable laser source showed more higher performance rather than CW case. Therefore, TLS fiber optic sensor can be applied to the hybrid system which is combined with Sagnac and FBG.

Toxicogenomics is now emerging as one of the most important genomics application because the toxicity test based on gene expression profiles is expected more precise and efficient than current histopathological approach in pre-clinical phase. One of the challenging points in Toxicogenomics is the construction of intelligent database management system which can deal with very heterogeneous and complex data from many different experimental and information sources. Here we present a new Toxicogenomics database developed as a part of 'Toxicogenomics for Efficient Safety Test (TEST) project'. The TEST database is especially focused on the connectivity of heterogeneous data and intelligent query system which enables users to get inspiration from the complex data sets. The database deals with four kinds of information; compound information, histopathological information, gene expression information, and annotation information. Currently, TEST database has Toxicogenomics information fer 12 molecules with 4 efficacy classes; anti cancer, antibiotic, hypotension, and gastric ulcer. Users can easily access all kinds of detailed information about there compounds and simultaneously, users can also check the confidence of retrieved information by browsing the quality of experimental data and toxicity grade of gene generated from our toxicology annotation system. Intelligent query system is designed for multiple comparisons of experimental data because the comparison of experimental data according to histopathological toxicity, compounds, efficacy, and individual variation is crucial to find common genetic characteristics .Our presented system can be a good information source for the study of toxicology mechanism in the genome-wide level and also can be utilized fur the design of toxicity test chip.
AC servo motor drives, Fara DS series, proposed in this paper can be effectively used in robots, CNC machine tools, and FA system with AC servo motors as actuators. The inverter of the AC servo drive consists of IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) which have high switching frequency. Noises and vibrations generated in variable speed control of AC servo motors can be greatly reduced due to their high switching frequencies. In the developed servo drive, maximum torque is always generated in the whole speed range by compensating phase shift, which results from the nonlinearies of the AC servo motor during abrupt acceleration and deceleration. Abundant protection functions are provided to prevent abnormal state of the servo motor, and furthermore diverse user options are considered provided for the effective application. The proposed AC servo motor drive is designed to minimize velocity variation with respect to external load, supply voltage, environmental temperature, and humidity, so can be widely used in the fields of factory automation including robots and CNC msachine tools.
In this study, the interface soaking effect in InAs/GaAs strained-layer superlattice (SLS) on crystalline phase modulation has been analyzed by the x-ray diffraction (XRD) curve. The strain variation induced by As and/or Sb soaking was determined by the separation angle between the substrate peak and the 0th-order superlattice satellite peak in the XRD spectra. Contrated that the As/InAs soaking arises minor GaAs-like interfacial layer, the Sb/GaSb soaking induces InSb-like one. The Fourier-transformed curves of the Pendellosung interference oscillation shows that the optimum soaking times of As/InAs and Sb/GaSb are 2 sec and 12 sec, at which the highest crystallineity has, respectively. An anomalous twin-peak phenomenon that a satellite peak splits into two peaks was observed in the SLS structure co-soaked by As and Sb at InAs${\rightarrow}$GaSb interfaces. We suggest that it may be resulted from coexistence of two kinds crystalline phases of InAsSb and GaAsSb due to intermixing of In${\leftrightarrow}$Ga and Sb${\leftrightarrow}$As.

This experiment was conducted to establish an analytical method for residues of amisulbrom, as recently developed an oomycete-specific fungicide showing inhibition of fungal respiration, in crops using HPLC-UVD/MS. Amisulbrom residue was extracted with acetonitrile from representative samples of five raw products which comprised apple, green pepper, kimchi cabbage, potato and hulled rice. The extract was diluted with 50 mL of saline water and directly partitioned into dichloromethane to remove polar co-extractives in the aqueous phase. For the hulled rice sample, n-hexane/acetonitrile partition was additionally employed to remove non-polar lipids. The extract was finally purified by optimized Florisil column chromatography. On an octadecylsilyl column in HPLC, amisulbrom was successfully separated from sample co-extractives and sensitively quantitated by ultraviolet absorption at 255 nm with no interference. Accuracy and precision of the proposed method was validated by the recovery test on every crop samples fortified with amisulbrom at 3 concentration levels per crop in each triplication. Mean recoveries ranged from 85.3% to 105.6% in five representative agricultural commodities. The coefficients of variation were all less than 10%, irrespective of sample types and fortification levels. Limit of quantitation (LOQ) of amisulbrom was 0.04 mg/kg as verified by the recovery experiment. A confirmatory method using LC/MS with selected-ion monitoring technique was also provided to clearly identify the suspected residue. The proposed method was sensitive, reproducible and easy-to-operate enough to routinely determine the residue of amisulbrom in agricultural commodities.
Ethoxyquin (EQ, 1,2-dihydro-6-ethoxy-2,2,4-trimethyl-quinoline) is quinoline-based antioxidant used in the animal feed and food industry to protect the raw materials and final products against oxidation. In recent years the use of synthetic antioxidants in fishmeal ingredients carry-over to farmed fish fillets has received increasing attention in food safety. This study was conducted to develop an analytical method to determine EQ in aquatic products. The analytes were confirmed and quantified via liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) in the positive ion mode using multiple reaction monitoring (MRM). The sample was extracted with 1 N HCl (in case of flatfish extracted with 1 N HCl containing 10% acetonitrile). Then, solid phase extraction (SPE) was used for the cleanup. Standard calibration curves presented linearity with the correlation coefficient ($r^2$) > 0.99, analyzed at 0.005-0.2 mg/kg concentration. The developed method was validated according to the Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC) guideline. The limits of quantitation for EQ were 0.01 mg/kg. Average recoveries ranged from 81.3% to 107%. The repeatability of measurements, expressed as the coefficient of variation (CV, %), was below 10%. The analytical method was characterized with high accuracy and acceptable sensitivity to meet CODEX guideline requirements and would be applicable to analyze the EQ residue in aquatic products.
The effect of nuruks and crude amylolytic enzyme on free amino acid and volatile components of brown rice vinegar prepared by static cultures was investigated. Five groups consisted of AV (100% nuruk without crude amylolytic enzyme), BV (75% nuruk; 25% crude amylolytic enzyme), CV (50% nuruk; 50% crude amylolytic enzyme), DV (25% nuruk; 75% crude amylolytic enzyme) and EV (100% crude amylolytic enzyme without nuruk). Free amino acid content in AV vinegar (132.06 mg%) was lower than the others (184.56-191.22 mg%). Acetic acid, 3-methyl butyl acetate, acetoin and isoamyl alcohol were major volatile components as analyzed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry after headspace solid-phase microextraction. Acetic acid in AV and EV samples represented 67.56% and 55.53% of total GC peak area, respectively. E-nose provided different patterns in each case showing variation in sensory properties.

Microclimate of Gwangneung forest watershed is characterized by analyzing wind, radiation, profiles of air temperature and humidity, soil and bole temperature, precipitation and soil water content measured at and around the flux tower from April 2000 to September 2003. Mountain-valley wind was prevalent due to the topographic effect with dominant wind from east during daytime and relatively weak wind from west during nighttime. Air temperature reaches its peak in July-August whereas monthly-averaged incoming shortwave radiation shows its peak in May due to summer monsoon. Albedo ranges from 0.12 to 0.16 during the growing season. Monthly-averaged bole temperature is in phase with monthly- averaged air temperature which is consistently higher. Monthly-averaged soil temperature lags behind air temperature and becomes higher with leaf fall. With the emergence of leafage in April, maximum temperature level during midday shifts from the ground surface to the crown level of 15-20m in May. Profiles of water vapor pressure show a similar shift in May but the ground surface remains as the major source of water. Vapor pressure deficit is highest in spring and lowest in winter. Monthly averaged surface soil temperatures range from 0 to 20℃ with a maximum in August. Monthly averaged trunk temperatures of the dominant tree species range from -5.8 to 21.6℃ with their seasonal variation and the magnitudes similar to those of air temperature. Annual precipitation amount varies significantly from year to year, of which >60% is from July and August. Vertical profiles of soil moisture show different characteristics that may suggest an important role of lateral movement of soil water associated with rainfall events.
A new, rapid, and simple analytical method was developed and validated using high performance liquid chromatograph-photodiode array detector (HPLC-PAD) for the determination of lepimectin residues in agricultural commodities. The lepimectin residues in samples were extracted with methanol, partitioned with dichloromethane, and then purified with glass column filled with subsequently to aminopropyl ($NH_2$) solid phase extraction (SPE) cartridge. The purified samples were detected using HPLC-PAD. Correlation coefficient ($R^2$) of both lepimectin $A_3$ and $A_4$ solutions were 0.9999. The method was validated using cucumber spiked with lepimectin at 0.02 and 0.2 mg/kg and pepper, mandarin, hulled rice, potato, soybean at 0.02 and 0.5 mg/kg. Average recoveries were 76.0~114.8% with relative standard deviation less than 10%, and limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) were 0.005 and 0.01 mg/kg, respectively. The result of recoveries and overall coefficient of variation of a laboratory results in Gwangju regional KFDA and Daejeon regional KFDA was followed with Codex guideline (CAC/GL 40). Therefore, developed method in this study is accurate, rapid, and appropriate for lepimectin determination and will be used to keep safety of lepimectin residues in agricultural products.
