${\alpha}$-크리스토발라이트 구조의 $GaPO_4$에 대한 고압 상변이 연구 (High Pressure Phase Transition Study of ${\alpha}$-cristobalite $GaPO_4$)

  • ${\alpha}$-크리스토발라이트 구조의 $GaPO_4$에 대한 고압 x-선 회절 실험을 상온에서 8.9 GPa까지 시행하였다. 정방정계에 속하는 출발결정구조는 1 GPa 이하의 압력에서 회절피크가 분리되는 변화를 보이는데, 아마도 망상구조를 이루고 있는 사면체의 방향성이 압력에 의해 흐트러지면서 상-I'로 상변이가 유도된 것 같다. 압력을 증가시키면, 상-I'는 2 GPa와 3 GPa 사이에서 정방정계에 속하는 고압상(상-III)으로 상변이를 하고 있다. 이 결과는 최근 동일한 시료를 이용하여 얻은 고압실험결과(Ming et al., 2007)와 일치하지 않는다. 최고압력에 도달한 다음, 압력을 대기압으로 내리면 상-III이 그대로 유지되는 것으로 나타났다.

  • This paper aims at presenting the state of the art, the recent progress, and the perspective for the future, in the modelling of two-phase flow in the horizontal legs of a PWR. All phenomena relevant for safety analysis are listed first. The selection of the modelling approach for system codes is then discussed, including the number of fluids or fields, the space and time resolution, and the use of flow regime maps. The classical two-fluid six-equation one-pressure model as it is implemented in the CATHARE code is then presented and its properties are described. It is shown that the axial effects of gravity forces may be correctly taken into account even in the case of change of the cross section area or of the pipe orientation. It is also shown that it can predict both fluvial and torrential flow with a possible hydraulic jump. Since phase stratification plays a dominant role, the Kelvin-Helmholtz instability and the stability of bubbly flow regime are discussed. A transition criterion based on a stability analysis of shallow water waves may be used to predict the Kelvin-Helmholtz instability. Recent experimental data obtained in the METERO test facility are analysed to model the transition from a bubbly to stratified flow regime. Finally, perspectives for further improvement of the modelling are drawn including dynamic modelling of turbulence and interfacial area and multi-field models.

$BaTiO_3$의 강유전성 분역 (Ferroelectric Domans in $BaTiO_3$)

  • A large amount of papers about the cubic-to-tetragonal phase transition the ferroelectric domain structures of the BaTiO3 were already reported but there exist still some needs to observe the domain behaviors directly. In this study the domain structures of the tinned plates prepared from ta single crystal grown by the TSSG technique were observed using a polarizing microscope TE and X-ray topography. The spatial relation be-tween the orientation states of domains was investigated and the effects of external stresses and electric fields on the behaviors of ferroelectric and ferroelastic domains were studied. All the 90$^{\circ}$walls cut off in the crystal are the wedge shaped lamellar domains and all the straight boundaries in the observed domain patte군 can be interpreted as the head-to-tail 90$^{\circ}$walls. The irregular overlapped boundaries commonly observed by using a polarizing microscope and X-ray topography are complex combinations of well-known 90$^{\circ}$walls and are domain walls were predominant and were stabilized after surface polishing. In the paraelectric phase region the domain walls vanished but the residual surface strain patterns could be seen at the same positions of the stabilized 90$^{\circ}$a-a walls in the tetragonal phase region, These stabilized walls resulted from the surface strain had a memory effect in domain formation during the repeated phase transitions and could notr be affected by an external electtric field.

  • HVPE(Halide Vapour Phase Epitaxy) 법에 의하여 육방정계 질화갈륨(GaN) 단결정막의 (0001)면에 섬모양으로 배향된 입방정계 β-GaN상과 육방정계 α-GaN상 사이의 상호 배향은 [110](111) β-GaN//[1120](001) α-GaN 관계를 갖는 것으로 관찰되었다. 삼각섬 모양을 β-GaN는 막표면에 평행인 (111)면에 대한 쌍정위치를 점하고 있었다. 광발광(PL) 및 국소부위 음극선 발광(CL)을 측정하여 β-GaN의 금제대폭값은 실온에서 3.18±0.30eV로 얻어졌다.

  • Ternary solutions that cellulose triacetate (CTA) and polyethylene terephthate (PET) were mixed in a solvent trifiuoroacetic acid (TFA)/methylene chloride (MC) (6/4 : v/v) showed phase separation and mesophase formation. The ternary systems which were mesomorphic were spun into a methanol both and relatively strong cellulosic fillaments were successfully produced. Analysis showed that CTA/PET fibers have fibrillar structure and high orientation parallel to the fiber axis. These fibers proved to be molecular composite and have relatively high strength and modulus as spun.

$ZnWO_4$ 단결정 성장과 결함 (The Growth of Defects $ZnWO_4$ Single Crystals)

  • ZnWO4 single crystals were grown by Czochralski method. And the orientation of grown crystals were determined by Laue back reflection, and the crystals were siliced at (100), (010), (001) face before polishing. The morphologys and distribution of etch pits on each face were observed by optical microscopy. In the present study, we understood that dislocation distributjioon rely on shape of solid-liquid interface, and secondary phase acts on the dislocation source. We also observed dislocation trace(etch pits) of (100) slip plane on (010) cleavage plane.

  • This thesis presents a simple heuristic algorithm which can be applied. to a quadruped wafting vehicle for increasing the terrain adaptability. The proposed method controls a leg length which is in tranfer phase to maintain initial orientation of the robot body by using FSR type force sensors attached to foot-tips. Also, some basic experiments using the vehicle are performed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the algorithm.

  • InSb thin films were fabricated by zone melting recrystallization of In/Sb multilayered thin films prepared by sequential evaporation. Unreacted metal phase or dispersed metal precipitates lowered the electron mobility and the electron mobility increased with development of (111) prefered orientation. Properties of the film could be controlled by changing mzximum temperature and scanning speed, and the electron mobility as high as 12, 000 cm $^2$/Vsec could be obtained under the optimized conditions.

  • The variation of Composition and the microstructure of Zn-Ni alloy electrodespposits were investigated to the electrolysis conditions chloride bath. The codeposition mechanism is of the equilibrium type in the electrolysis condition of the high temperature(6$0^{\circ}C$)and high flow rate (1.2-3.0m/sec). The(411, 330) perferred orienation was mainly developed in the Zn-Ni electrodeposir with ${\gamma}$-phase structure, while the(422.600) orientation was closely related to the commposition and the structure of the alloy electrodeposit.
