A new spary chrysanthemum(Dendranthema grandiflorum) cultivar 'Noble Wine' was developed from a cross between 'SL03-01' and 'Artist Pink' by selection of seedlings and lines at the Flower Research Institute, Gyeongnam Agricultural Research and Extention Services(ARES) from 2003 to 2007. Its characteristics were investigated three times from 2005 to 2007 under condition of forcing culture in spring and retarding culture in autumn. The natural flowering time of 'Noble Wine' was October 26th, and yearround production was possible by day length treatment. Its capitulum was 5.4 cm in diameter, and had 21.6 ray florets and 28.5 head per stem in autumn. Its ray floret was red-purple with green central zone. 'Noble Wine' was about 45 days in spring, and 'Noble Wine' showed the vase life of 21.3 days in autumn. This cultivar was registered for a commercialization in 2007.

A new standard carnation Dianthus caryophyllus 'Pink Beryl' was bred from a cross of red standard cultivar 'Francesco' and purple standard cultivar 'Saturn' in 1996 at the National Institute of Horticultural & Herbal Science. After investigation of the characteristics for 4 years from 1997 to 2000 and registered to the official breeding variety of Rural Development Administration in 2000. 'Pink Beryl' is pink standard cultivar with round edge of petal for cut flower. It has medium resistance to Fusarium wilt. To avoid calyx splitting caused by high temperature, this cultivar is recommended to grow over $8^{\circ}C$ at night and under $25^{\circ}C$ at days during flower bud differentiation period.

'Arirang', an early-flowering pure white gladiolus with purple core, was released by the National Institute of Horticultural & Herbal Science (NIHHS) in 1998. The selection was derived from the cross between the progenies of the early flowering dark orange 'Arianne' and bright red domestic cultivars 'Hongkwang'. The breeding was conducted in 1993 and finally selected in 1998 after five (5) years (1994 to 1998) of experimentation. 'Arirang' is a cut flower with bright white color petals and purple core which exhibited early flowering and vigor without stem bending. These can be cultivated in areas or regions with strong winds during summer. 'Arirang' has a very firm growth form and sturdy branches which do not bend when planted in the open fields. Likewise, the plant had high tolerance to flooding and resistance hence could grow vigorously in open areas. It is a fast- growing plant which exhibits high corm production rate. 'Arirang' had a 10.5 cm wide flower and 140 cm plant height. During summer, the average number of days to flowering was recorded at 75 days of 'Arirang'. Top dressing must be conducted once or twice during corm production to enhance corm quality and quantity.

Its characteristics were investigated three times from 2006 to 2008 under condition of forcing culture in spring and retarding culture in autumn. The natural flowering time of 'Biz' was October 26th, and year-round production was possible by day length treatment. This cultivar was white in color, single in flower type for the spray type cut flower. Its capitulum was 3.0 cm in diameter, and had 15.6 head per stem in autumn. Its ray floret was green central zone. The days to flowering under the short day treatment is about 42 days in spring season, and 'Biz' showed the vase life of 24.1 days in autumn. This cultivar was registered for a commercialization in 2008.

This experiment was conducted to examine the treatment conditions for single-color dyeing using the variety 'Akito' which was selected based on the flower size, density, blooming shape, elegance, expression of the dying color. The optimal conditions of dyeing rose flower were pH 3.5 under the $20-25^{\circ}C$, in which the vase life showed 15 days as longest after dyeing. The most suitable flower stage for dyeing was identified as second or third stage at which three petals of flower are opened. $10g{\cdot}L^{-1}$ concentration of dyeing solution with $2mL{\cdot}L^{-1}$ treatment of spreader for rose dyeing gave the best color performance.

A new white spray-mum, 'White Ball' was bred by crossing between 'Stallion', a white anemone type flower, and 'Hyangno', an anemone type with pink petals in October 2003. The growth and flowering characteristics were investigated in forcing, natural, and retarding cultures from 2005 to 2007. The 'White Ball' was a medium-flowering fall-mum with white anemone type flower and had 16.2 flowers per stem, 3.6 cm diameter of flower in natural culture. The number of days to flowering and flowers per plant was 58.5 and 11.9, respectively, in forcing culture of 'White Ball' whereas the number of days to flowering was 54 in retarding culture.

Its characteristics were investigated three times from 2005 to 2007 under condition of forcing culture in spring and retarding culture in autumn. The natural flowering time of 'Magic' was October 26th, and year-round production was possible by day length treatment. Its capitulum was 6.1 cm in diameter, and had 31.9 ray florets and 11.7 head per stem in autumn. Its ray floret was white-purple with yellow green central zone. Days to flower of 'Magic' was about 43 days in spring, and 'Magic' showed the vase life of 20.6 days in autumn. This cultivar was registered for a commercialization in 2007.

A new cultivar of Rosa hybrida 'Loving Heart' was developed by crossing Gyeongkyo R-6 and 'Noblesse' at Gumi Floricultural Experiment Station in 2002. Characteristics trials were conducted three times from 2004 to 2007. This cultivar showed dark pink flower color (RHS, Red-purple group 66-B) and standard type with good flower shape. The flower diameter is 10.3cm and the number of petals per flower is 55. Vase life of 'Loving Heart' could be as long as 12.3days. The yield of 'Loving Heart' was $127stems/m^2/year$. 'Loving Heart' has good quality of cut flower and strong vigor in plant growth. This cultivar has straight stems and is easy to culture because of a few prickles on the top of stem. This cultivar is appropriate for both soil and solution(hydroponics) cultures.

A new cultivar of Rosa hybrida 'Wooami Salmon' was developed by crossing 'Silver 87' and 'Lambada' at Gumi Floricultural Experiment Station in 2001. Characteristics trials were conducted three times from 2003 to 2006. This cultivar showed pale salmon flower color (RHS, Orange group 27-B) and standard type with good flower shape. The flower diameter is 10.8cm and the number of petals per flower is 46. Vase life of 'Wooami Salmon' could be as long as 12.8 days. The yearly mean yields of 'Wooami Salmon' was $129stems/m^2$. 'Wooami Salmon' has good quality of cut flower and strong vigor in plant growth. This cultivar is appropriate for both soil and solution(hydroponics) cultures.

Its characteristics were investigated three times from 2004 to 2006 under condition of forcing culture in spring and retarding culture in autumn. The natural flowering time of 'Moulin Rouge' was October 24th, and year-round production was possible by day length treatment. Its capitulum was 5.3 cm in diameter, and had 22.9 ray florets and 12.2 head per stem in autumn. Its ray floret was bi-color(yellow/orange) with green central zone. 'Moulin Rouge' was about 55 days to flower in spring, and showed the vase life of 21.7 days in autumn. This cultivar was registered for a commercialization in 2007.
