  • Scientific space, one can observe the differentiation of the definition of the terms "value", "value orientations" because it does not yet have a clear standard definition. Many researchers have dealt with this topic, researched, analyzed, observed, and made conclusions. However, there is still a rich scope for research of such phenomena of personal structure as value orientations. Psychologists-researchers who, in their scientific, practical, and theoretical works, dealt with the topic of values and value orientations and came to the general conclusion that values are a structural component of a personality, with the help of which a person achieves a goal, sets this goal, and characterizes position in life. Saw the relationship between values and the basic structures of the personality, including value orientations-considered in values a system of orientation and personality attitudes.

  • 교육용 게임을 학교 교육과정에 도입하여 활용하고자 하는 노력은 국내 외에서 활발하게 이루어지고 있는 실정이다. 교육용 게임의 액션수준이 성격유형에 따라 내적동기에 미치는 효과에 대한 연구결과를 통해 우리는 교육용 게임의 개발에서부터 실제 활용하는 학습자 및 가정에서의 학부모, 각 학교에서의 지도교사에게 충분한 자료가 될 것으로 사료된다. 예컨대, 교육용 게임을 설계하며 개발하는 제 단계에서 학습자의 성격유형을 고려한 선택메뉴를 구성하는 등의 부분에 아이디어가 될 것이다. 특히나 같은 학습목표를 구현하는 데 있어서 외향형의 학생에게 효과적인 게임, 내향형의 학생에게 효과적인 게임별로 개발된다면 도전감 등 내적동기를 증진시키는데 도움이 될 것으로 본다.

Thinking Science 활동에서 리더의 성격에 따른 모둠내 언어적 상호 작용 특징 (The Characteristics of Verbal Interaction according to Leader's Personality in Small Group Activities of Thinking Science)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the within-group verbal interaction according to leader's personality in Thinking Science activities. For this study, 2 homogeneous small groups by cognitive level selected from one class of sixth grader. Each group was comprised of four students. Leaders of two groups selected from the results of NEO personality assessment and teacher's observation. One who got high scores in extraversion and agreeableness is named a sociable leader, the other who got low scores in extraversion and agreeableness is named a taciturn leader. Verbal interactions during small group activities were audio/video taped and students' interactions were classified into on-task and off-task. On-task included cognitive aspect and affective aspect. Interactions of cognitive aspect were divided into low and high level, also interactions of affective aspect were divided into positive and negative interaction. The results of this study showed that the verbal interactions in the sociable leader group were more activated than those in the taciturn leader group. Also, interaction level of the sociable leader group in cognitive aspect was higher than those of the taciturn leader group. In affective aspect, interaction pattern of the sociable leader group was similar to those of the taciturn leader group. The characteristics of leader's interaction are as follow. The rates of cognitive aspect in the sociable and the taciturn leaders' interactions were much higher than those of affective aspect. This tendency was especially remarkable in the taciturn leader's interactions. However, interaction level of the sociable leader in cognitive aspect was higher than those of the taciturn leader. In affective aspect, positive interaction rate of the sociable leader and the taciturn leader were higher than negative interaction rate.

본인과 배우자의 성격특성이 결혼의 질에 미치는 영향: 남편과 부인의 비교 연구 (Personality Characteristics of the Self and the Spouse and Marital Quality : Comparison between the Husband and the Wife)

  • This study is to compare the effects of personality characteristics on marital quality of the husband and the wife. Marital quality was measured in two aspects: marital satisfaction and marital conflict. At the first step of the regression analysis, socio-demographic variables were entered, at the second step, variables of personality characteristics, and at the third step, variables of personality characteristics of the spouse were added. Age group of 35 and under is higher in marital satisfaction or lower in marital conflict than that of 36 to 40. People who grew up in Chungchung area are lower in marital satisfaction compared to those who grew up in Seoul and adjacent area, and those who grew up in Chunla area are higher in marital satisfaction. Marital conflict increases when people are less educated. Marital conflict decreases when the husband has high income. Religion is related to marital satisfaction and marital conflict of the husband. Stability is related to both marital satisfaction and marital conflict. Sociability of the wife is related to marital satisfaction and marital conflict of the husband, and responsibility of the wife is related to her own marital conflict. Responsibility of the husband is related to marital conflict of the wife. This result shows that the husband is expected to perform the instrumental role and the wife the expressive role. In, conclusion, these results should be considered when family life education programs for couples are constructed. First, family life cycle needs to be considered when family life education programs are offered. Second, regional differences in family culture should be put into consideration. Third, the idea that conjugal role relationships can be flexible needs to be included in family life education programs. Fourth, programs to improve stability, responsibility and sociability are needed for wives. Fifth, programs to improve stability and responsibility should be offered in work settings for husbands.

중학생의 간식 섭취 실태가 인성특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of snack intake on personality of middle school students)

  • 본 연구는 중학생의 간식 섭취와 인성의 일반적인 특성을 살펴보고, 성별 및 학년별 인성특성이 차이가 있는지 분석하였으며, 간식 섭취 횟수가 인성특성에 미치는 영향력을 알아보았다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 광주지역에서 중학생을 대상으로 자기기입식 설문조사를 통하여 수집된 717개의 자료를 분석하였다. 자료는 SPSS 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도, 백분율, 평균, 표준편차, t-검증, ANOVA, 사후검증, 중다회귀분석을 실행하였으며, 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 간식 섭취 횟수는 1일 1~2회 이상이 303명(42.3%)으로 제일 많았고, 아주 가끔 269명(37.6%), 1일 2~3회 이상 90명(12.6%), 전혀 먹지 않는다 54명(7.5%) 순으로 나타났으며 간식 섭취 이유는 습관적으로 182명(27.3%), 식사량이 부족해서 140명(21.0%), 식사를 걸러서 91명(13.6%), 스트레스 해소 55명(8.2%) 순으로 답하였다. 인성특성은 5점 리커트 척도로 답하도록 하였는데, 하위요인 중 친근성이 3.64로 제일 높았고, 개방성/지성 3.42, 외향성 3.36, 성실성 3.15, 감정안정성 3.09 순으로 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 성별에 따른 인성특성은 감정안정성만이 여학생이 남학생보다 유의적으로 높게 나타났으며(p<.05), 학년별 인성특성은 외향성(p<.001), 친근성(p<.05), 개방성/지성(p<.05)의 경우 중학교 3학년 학생들이 중학교 1학년과 2학년 학생들보다 유의적으로 낮게 나타났다. 셋째, 간식 섭취 횟수가 인성특성에 영향을 미치는 지 알아본 결과, 인성특성 하위요인 중 외향성에는 과일섭취 횟수(β=.134)가 친근성에는 빵(β=-.099), 과일(β=.142), 빙과(β=.092), 떡(β=.090) 섭취 횟수가, 성실성에는 과일(β=.107), 떡(β=.120) 섭취 횟수가, 감정안정성에는 빵(β=.105), 음료류(β=-.113), 과일(β=.113), 분식(β=-.126) 섭취 횟수가, 개방성/지성에는 과일(β=.106), 우유(β=.110) 섭취 횟수가 통계적으로 유의미하게 영향을 미쳤다. 인성특성의 모든 하위요인에 과일 섭취 횟수가 긍정적으로 영향을 미쳤으며, 떡은 친근성과 성실성에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으며 음료류는 감정안정성에 부정적으로 영향을 미쳤다. 이에 단음료 대신 물을 충분히 마시고 우리 식재료를 활용한 식생활을 즐기는 것을 제안한 국민 공통 식생활지침을 지키는 것이 필요한 것을 재확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구결과는 중학생의 건강증진을 위한 간식 섭취와 인성개발의 방안을 모색하는데 기여할 수 있다고 생각한다.

남자 고등학생의 성격과 흡연형태 (Association between Personality Typology and Smoking in High School Students)

  • A total of 448 male students(220 college-bound students, 228 vocational students) were surveyed through a self-administered questionnaire in Daegu from November to December 2003. This study aimed to identify the pattern in cigarette smoking according to personality type and related factors to smoking. Among respondents, $30.8\%$ of college-bound students and $69.3\%$ of vocational students have ever smoked. The rate of current smoking was $9.2\%$ in the college-bound students and $56.6\%$ in the vocational students. Smoking experience and current smoking status was significantly associated in psychotic personality in the college-bound students and in extroversive and psychotic personality in the vocational student group. The logistic regression analysis revealed that smoking of parents, siblings, and friends were significant variables on the current smoking in the college-bound students, and smoking of friends and extroversive and psychotic personality in the vocational students. As a results, this study suggest that those students who have the factors identified in this study regarded as having the potential to start smoking, and they can be subject to anti-smoking programs to help them quell their desire for smoking or delay.

코바늘뜨기 창의적 체험활동이 아동의 창의적 성향과 의생활태도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Creative Crochet Activities on Children's Creative Personality and Attitudes toward Clothing)

  • The purpose of this study was to seek improvement in clothing education through an application of creative crochet activities for children. A total of 111 students of 4th grade classes from elementary school participated in this program during 16 classes of creative activities from April to May 2013. The content of the creative crochet activities was organized into orientation (making rings etc.), making work I (counting stitches, rows, etc.), making work II (set up a pillar by chains etc.), and completing and sharing the work (making a string by chain and single crochet stitches etc.). Before and after the classes, children's creative personality and their attitudes toward clothing were investigated. The study also analyzed the mean, standard deviation, and paired-sample t-test for comparison between the pre- and post-test results. According to the results, first, the creative crochet activities were analyzed to be helpful and useful in developing a child's creative personality, which includes elements such as sensitivity and curiosity. Further, these activities were more effective in the case of girls than in the case of boys with respect to fostering a creative personality. Second, the creative crochet activities were analyzed as being helpful and useful in developing attitudes toward clothing, which include elements such as clothing satisfaction, clothing management, and clothing independence. Further, these activities were more effective in the case of boys than in the case of girls with respect to fostering attitudes toward clothing. Third, clothing education is an appropriate topic for creative activities of Korean elementary schools.

신임공무원의 성격특성이 학업소진에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Personality Characteristics of A New Public Official on Academic Burnout)

  • 공무원은 국민의 봉사자로서 국민의 안전은 경찰이 담당하고 있다. 특히 3면이 바다인 우리나라의 해양 안전은 매우 중요하다. 해양이라는 특수성과 위험성으로 인해 해양경찰의 교육은 매우 중요한 요소이다. 특히 신임 교육과정은 재직하는 동안 직무와 연결되기 때문에 교육 성과와 관련이 있는 요소는 더욱 중요하다. 이 연구에서는 신임해양경찰공무원 200명을 대상으로 성격특성과 학업소진의 관계를 살펴보았다. 연구 결과 성격특성 5요인 중 신체적 고갈에 영향을 미친 요인은 외향성 요인, 신경성 요인, 정서적 고갈에 영향을 미친 요인은 외향성 요인, 신경성, 냉소주의에 영향을 미친 요인은 신경성과 개방성 요인, 성취감 저하에 영향을 미친 요인은 외향성 요인, 신경성 요인, 성실성 요인이었다. 특히 학업소진에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 성격특성 5요인은 신경성으로 나타났다. 신임해양경찰공무원의 교육적 만족과 효과를 위해서는 신임해양경찰공무원의 심리적 여유와 스트레스 최소화 방안이 필요하다.

Relationship between Personality Type and Academic Achievement of Korean Medical Students

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between Myers-Briggs Type Indicator(MBTI) personality type and academic achievement of Korean medical students. A total of 97 (57 men, 40 women; ages 24 to 36) fourth-year Korean medical students participated in this study. The MBTI questionnaire was administered to all the students for identification of their personality type and academic performance. The results are as follows. First, the proportions of Personality type of Korean medical students were Extroversion (E) 33.0% - Introversion (I) 67.0%, Sensing (S) 70.1%- Intuition (N) 29.9%, Thinking (T) 58.8%- Feeling (F) 41.2%, and Judging (J) 54.6% - Perceiving (P) 45.3%. Second, the most common personality type was ISTJ (22.7%), followed by ISTP (13.4%), ISFJ (12.3%). Third, according to the analysis of this study, academic achievement was significantly related with their personality type in the preference : Sensing (S) - Intuition (N) and Judging (J)-Perceiving (P). In analysis of Sensing (S) - Intuition (N) and Judging (J)-Perceiving (P) index, Sensing (S) and Judging (J) type students had higher academic achievement than Intuition (N) and Perceiving (P) type students. This is the study to identify the characteristics of MBTI in Korean Medical students. The findings indicate that academic achievement was significantly related to their personality type in the preference. Using the results of MBTI in Korean medical students, is helpful in selection of appropriate teaching and learning strategies to provide better education.

학생-대학간 브랜드 퍼스낼리티 일치성이 신뢰, 만족, 충성도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Brand Personality Congruity between Student and College on Trust, Satisfaction, and Loyalty)

  • 최근 수업연한, 교육서비스제공방식 등에 의해 다양한 유형의 대학들이 나타나고 있으며, 소비자인 학생들의 특성 역시 점차 다양해지고 있다. 본 연구는 대학유형별로 학생-대학간 브랜드 퍼스낼리티 일치성차이가 나타나는지 검증하고, 일치성이 신뢰, 만족, 충성도에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 하였다. 기존 연구에서 제시된 5가지의 브랜드 퍼스낼리티 척도(Brand Personality Scale: BPS)를 활용하여 다음과 같은 두 가지 연구를 진행하였다. 첫 번째 연구는 대학유형에 따라 학생-대학간 퍼스낼리티 일치성에 차이가 존재하는지 밝히는 탐색적 성격의 연구이며, 연구결과 일반대학은 능력(competence), 세련(sophistication), 강인(ruggedness)측면에서, 전문대학은 성실(sincerity)측면에서, 사이버대학은 열정(excitement)측면에서 각각 학생-대학간 퍼스낼리티 일치성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 두 번째 연구는 학생-대학간 퍼스낼리티 일치성이 신뢰, 만족, 브랜드충성도에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 브랜드 퍼스낼리티 일치성은 신뢰, 만족, 브랜드 충성도에 모두 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
