Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand interpersonal dispositions and social support among high school students and identify factors associated with depression. Methods: A total of 604 students (320 males and 284 females) from four high schools conveniently sampled from high schools in the Incheon area participated in a self-administered survey. Results: According to hierarchical multiple regression analysis, the following factors significantly affected the participants' depression levels with the explanatory power of 30.6%: grade, perceived health status, sympathetic-acceptable personality, sociable-friendly personality, rebellious-distrustful personality, parent support, peer support, and the support from community. Conclusion: In this study, interpersonal dispositions and social support were positively associated with depression. These results suggest that strengthening personal relations and social support can help high school students in terms of mental health and suicide prevention.
Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is characterized by identity and interpersonal problem, affective dysregulation and pervasive severe impulsivity. Although sleep disturbances are not primary symptoms of BPD, they are important aspects of this disorder. However, clinicians and researchers did not give much attention to the sleep symptoms of BPD yet. Measured by nocturnal polysomnography, increased sleep latency as well as reduced total sleep time and sleep efficiency, and 'depression-like' REM abnormalities (i.e., reduced REM latency and increased REM density) are found in BPD patients. Co-morbid sleep disorders such as chronic insomnia, nightmare disorder or circadian rhythm sleep disorder associated with BPD have been reported. Clinicians should focus on the sleep complaints of BPD patients, and carefully manage such symptoms with sleep hygiene education, cognitive psychotherapy or light therapy.
Objectives: This study was attempted to understand the relation between MBTI personality types and stress, resilience, school Adaptation of nursing students. Methods: The subjects were 177 freshmen of Nursing College who agreed on participating in this research. Data was collected from April, 2nd, 2012 to April, 5th. The data was analyzed by operating t-test and Pearson correlation coefficient with PASW 18.0. Results: It was appeared that ESFJ type was the highest MBTI type among the objects of this study, and ISTJ, ESFP were ranked to next to it. Among the four indexes of MBTI, it was appeared that E(Extroversion), S(Sensing), F(Feeling), and J(Judging) were higher. According to personality types, it showed that I type students perceived stress higher than E type, and E type students adapted themselves to school lives better than I type, and the degree of resilience was higher. Also, the higher the degree of stress they had, the lower school Adaptation and the degree of resilience they got. While, as the school Adaptation got higher, the degree of resilience grew higher. Conclusions: It is needed to help the freshmen of Nursing College to adapt to school efficiently, by testing their MBTI personality types, and then to help I type students to overcome their stress and adapt to school better. Also, it is considered to develop and operate the programs which can improve the resilience, since the results of this study have indicated that the students showing the higher scores of resilience were acclimating to school well.

The data was analyzed by using ANCOVAs with SPSS 10.0 for Windows. Results: 42 (57.5%) out of 73 abstained for one month and 26 (35.6%) abstained for one year. The purpose of this study was to examine the awareness of two major groups of early childhood teachers, (that is, kindergarten teachers and nursery teachers), in terms of the image of what constitutes an early childhood teacher. More specifically, this study sought to investigate any possible gaps between the two groups in that aspect, in an effort to shed light on (and understand in greater detail), the awareness of the two groups regarding the image of early childhood teachers in detail. The subjects in this study comprised 310 early childhood teachers, out of which 156 teachers worked in kindergartens and 154 teachers worked in daycare centers in Busan, Ulsan and South Gyeongsang Province. The findings of the study were as follows : First, kindergarten teachers' images of a kindergarten teacher were mostly associated with the professional domain, followed by the domain of personality, a physical domain and a professional attitude domain. As a result of checking the awareness of the nursery teachers regarding the image of a kindergarten teacher in more detail, their image of a kindergarten teacher appeared to be mostly associated with the professional domain, followed by the professional attitude domain, the domain of personality and the physical domain. There were statistically significant gaps between the kindergarten teachers and the nursery teachers in terms of their image of a kindergarten teacher. Second, as for the awareness of the kindergarten teachers of the image of a nursery teacher, their image of a nursery teacher was mostly linked to the domain of personality, followed by the professional domain, the physical domain and the professional attitude domain. Regarding the awareness of the nursery teachers of the image of a nursery teacher, their image of a nursery teacher was mostly associated with the professional domain, followed by the domain of personality, the professional attitude domain and the physical domain. Statistically significant gaps between the kindergarten teachers and the nursery teachers were found in the image of a nursery teacher.
The aim of this study was to investigate the patterns of the elementary school students' interests to animals and plants based on affinity toward animals and plants, and curiosity about animals and plants by using a cluster analysis. In addition, the differences of the big five personality traits by the identified clusters was examined. A total number of 411 elementary school students participated in the study. The students were clustered into four distinct interest groups with respect to the level of interests to animals and plants. Cluster 1 'Developed Interest to Organisms group' showed high levels in the interest to both animals and plants. Cluster 2 'Developed Interest to Animals group' showed high interest to animals and relatively low interest to plants whereas cluster 3 'Developed Interest to Plants group' showed high interest to plants and relatively low interest to animals. Lastly, cluster 4 were identified as 'Lack of Interest to Organisms group' by showing low levels of interest to both animals and plants. The four identified groups also showed different distributions of students according to gender and school year. These results support gender difference in the interest to animals and plants and suggest the decreased and specialized interest with school year. The Big Five personality traits excluding neuroticism were positively related with the interest to organisms and the identified groups showed significant differences in the traits. These findings indicate that agreeableness, conscientiousness, extraversion, and openness can be significant predictors of the interests to animals and plants.

The measurement tools used in this study were the 30 questions of Character Scale that Choi Min-Soo and Im Eun-Young(2013) developed and modified by Im Eun-Young(2015), a Self-Leadership Scale of Manz(1998) classified into behavioral strategy and cognitive strategy that Wang Ji-Seon(2011) translated and modified. a Self-Esteem Scale(SES) of Rosenberg(1986) that the researcher modified and used, and The Oxford Happiness Questionnaire of Hills and Argyle(2002) that Choi Yo-Won(2002) translated and the researcher modified. According to the research result, for correlation with happiness, self-esteem was .86, self-leadership was .74, and character was .66, and for correlation with self-leadership, character was .70, self-esteem was .66, and correlation between character and self-esteem was .57. Secondly, for direct effect on happiness, self-esteem was .62, character as .20, self-leadership was .19, and for direct effect on self-leadership, character was .49 and self-esteem was .38.
