In animated films, characters materialize narratives through acting. The narrative is an element to materialize accurate delivery of lines and emotions. The non-verbal actions should express lots of emotions and lines in scenes, and also they can be used as a way of empathy. This study analyzed the visualization factors of narrative focusing on a cat character frequently shown in animated films. For this, the visualization factors of non-verbal actions expressed in characters' personal space and dynamic space were extracted. Based on this, it aims to suggest the emotion expressing method of characters to realize effective narrative visualization. In the future, it aims to be used as reference data in case when producing non-verbal communication for 3D characters.

The story treats each individual's vision as well as social reality that the author intends to describe. The purpose of this article is to search for the conflict between vision and reality, especially in feminist problem that critics have treated on the works of women writers. Though some articles have studied on the issue similar to this article, I try to analyze the narratives in the text that the author herself confesses to us. I think that we can find out clear messages from the individuals who construct the human relationship and build up their personal history through their dialogue or monologue. We can also catch their main problems in the community. I discuss the topic by mentioning the detailed discourses referred to the heroine and other characters in the text. The passages mentioned by the characters in the story may be a confession for the present and future generation that the author tries to confess. From the excerpts of some discourse, I can conclude that though Dorothea has a vision for her ideal, she is a failed feminist, for society is too strong for her as Miller (1990) argues.

본 연구는 재외동포 후속세대 학습자를 대상으로 고전 서사 <바리공주>와 <심청전>을 활용한 문화 교육 방안을 모색하고자 한다. 거주국에서 태생한 재외동포 후속세대 학습자의 비율이 늘어나고 있는 만큼 세대교체의 변화를 반영한 재외동포의 교육 방안이 요구되는 시점이다. 특히 재외동포 다수의 학습 동기를 고려하여 정체성 정립을 위한 문화 교육 방안을 제언하고자 하였다. 교육 자료로는 고전 서사<바리공주>와 <심청전>을 텍스트로 삼았다. 두 텍스트에 나타나는 통과의례적 구조가 주인공의 '존재론적 위치의 변화'를 보여준다는 점에서 정체성 교육에 유의미할 것으로 보았기 때문이다. 바리와 심청은 가부장적 세계에서 부유하던 여성 주체다. 그들이 부모와의 관계로 이루어진 세계에서 벗어나는 탈영토화의 과정을 거쳐 새로운 관계를 통해 스스로를 재정립하는 서사를 거주국의 질서에서 부유하는 재외동포가 가체험해 봄으로써 정체성을 성찰할 수 있도록 하였다. 인간의 본래적 자아를 긍정하는 작품 서사에 자기 서사를 합치함으로써 '나'를 구성하는 것들을 긍정할 수 있도록 인식의 변화를 유도할 수 있기 때문이다. 궁극적으로는 고전 작품 서사에 대한 심층적 이해와 작품서사 주체와의 일체감을 통해 자기 서사를 진단하고 혼종적 '주체'의 긍정성을 확보하는 방향으로 교육 방안을 제언하고자 하였다. 이는 자연스럽게 모국에 대한 문화에도 관심과 유대감을 높일 수 있는 계기가 될 수 있을 것이다.

사범대학 조교수는 어떤 삶을 살고 있는가? 이 연구의 목적은 한 지방 국립 사범대학 조교수의 삶을 탐색하여 과학 교육 연구자 및 교사 교육자로서의 삶의 모습을 기술하고 이해하는 것이다. 연구자 스스로 삶을 정리하고 반성하는 자서전적 연구를 수행하였다. 조교수의 삶이 담겨진 기록들을 수집한 후 그것을 분류하는 틀을 개발하였다. 조교수의 삶을 대학에서의 삶과 개인적인 삶으로 크게 분류하고, 대학에서의 삶은 다시 교육, 연구, 봉사로, 개인적인 삶은 본인과 가정으로 구분하였다. 나의 다양한 삶의 모습에서 '변화'와 '학습'의 핵심 주제를 찾았고, 그에 해당하는 삶의 내용을 재구성하여 제시하였다. 그리고 조교수 시기의 나를 '자신에게서 타인으로', '어울림과 고립의 조화', '끊임없는 배움으로 운신의 폭 증가'로 표현할 수 있었다. 나의 삶에 대한 이해와 반성을 통해 사범대학 교수의 역할을 되짚어보고 교육적인 시사점을 논의하였다.

본 논문은 사용자가 모바일 위치기반 증강현실 기술을 이용하여 특정 지역에서 실시간으로 포착하는 현실 이미지와 과거 이미지를 중첩시켜 생성하는 합성 이미지의 의미를 고찰하였다. 위치기반 증강현실 기술로 합성된 이미지는 가상의 과거 이미지를 현재 포착하고 있는 이미지에 공간적 유사성으로 중첩시킨 결과이다. 현재와 과거의 두 상이한 시간 서사가 동일 공간에 실시간으로 존재하는 새로운 합성 이미지인 것이다. 이를 위해 위치기반 증강현실 기술 기반 모바일 애플리케이션을 개발하고, 다층 서사 기록 주체라는 측면에서 사용자의 개입 과정을 분석하였다. 또한 유사 연구 결과와의 비교로 이미지 중첩과정에서 새로운 의미를 부여하기 위한 사용자의 개입이 합성 이미지 결과물에 다층 서사를 부여하는 핵심임을 발견하였다. 개발된 애플리케이션은 일반 사용자들이 손쉽게 다층 서사 기반의 합성 이미지 획득이 가능하여 향후 모바일 위치 기반 서비스나 문화 콘텐츠 활용 서비스로 활용 가능하다.

The purpose of this study is to understand how late middle-aged women in our society view and adapt to “aging”. This is a crucial step forward linking two stages, the growing young age and the declining old age, which eventually improves the qualify of life in old a9e. This qualitative study used Personal narratives extracted from tape-recorded interviews of 20 late middle-aged women in their fifties and analyzed key experiences of late middle-aged women in their transition to old age. Participants were observed to perceive not only many limitations but also alternative potentialities. First, the major challenges due to the closing young era were ‘physical declines’, including health problems and wrinkles, and ‘leaving children’. Second, the potentialities to start a new era also could be found. Many participants found themselves to be generous enough to assist others in need. In addition, they looked to adapt to new challenges. It was likely that the many adversities that they had faced made them resilient. These results show that late middle-aged women were actively negotiating with themselves and their surroundings in order to overcome their losses, maintain their potentialities, and, in the process, acknowledge their impending old age for better preparation.

My concern was to explore how the Korean 'wild geese families' functioned to maintain 'familyhood' in spite of spatial separation by using a qualitative approach. I used personal narratives from eleven 'geese mothers' living in the United States. Family paths across time were analyzed to understand their complicated nature. Respondents adopted some coping strategies to obtain the flexibility and the stability for relocating their transnational lives. These were 1) communications, 2) relocation of household work, and 3) reinterpretation of 'sacrifice.' It seemed that their family paths become either the continuous type (prolong their stay) or the discontinuous type (not prolong their stay). These were shaped by complex individual, familial, and social forces which affected differently according to the steps of family life cycles. Therefore, this study showed that the Korean 'wild geese family' did not move toward the uni-direction with the same experiences and nature. More importantly, it is noteworthy to acknowledge that the prevalence of 'wild geese family' reveals the dynamic interactive nature of the family, i.e., actively responding to the changes and challenges from the diverse circumstances. It is inferred that the social and cultural factors such as the class mobility, the education system, and the values may influence the family life style.

Among Filipino entertainers in Japan, trans women (transgender women) or transpinay (Filipino trans woman) entertainers remain understudied compared to cisgender women. Though the number of entertainers has declined, transpinay entertainers remain relevant as transgender issues continue to be salient globally. This study explains the gendered experiences of the transpinay migrants, particularly in entertainment work and their relationships, which are different from cisgender Filipino women entertainers' experiences. Using grounded theory and drawing on concepts of performativity in interactions to analyze the narratives of transpinay entertainers, I delve into how transpinay entertainers negotiate their gender and migrant identities as they establish professional and personal relationships. Moreover, the transpinays' entertainment work is a significant contributing factor to their sense of belonging in Japan, as they form relationships with colleagues, clients, and partners who support them and, thereby, sustain their lifestyles as trans women. The transpinay entertainers' flows of migration between Japan and the Philippines reveal that they embrace various aspects of social remittances and use them to their advantage to create and enhance their transpinay identity in Japan. By examining the transpinays' migrant experiences, this study aims to elucidate the gendered experiences of transpinay entertainers, which involve significant negotiations in their migration pathways notably different from cisgender Filipino women entertainers, reveal resilience.

이 논문에서는 시각적으로 명암이 인간의 정서에 영향을 미친다는 그레이브스의 명암이론을 적용하여 "라이온 킹" 에서 사용된 명암의 유형을 분석하고 작품 내에서 시각적으로 표현된 명암이 내러티브에서 전개되는 정서의 흐름과 어떠한 관계를 맺고 있는지에 대한 유형을 분석하였다. 이를 통하여 명암이 시각이미지에 끼치는 영향과 더불어 정서적인 분위기 표현에 중요한 요소로 작용한다는 점을 규명하고자 하였다. 애니메이션에서는 실사 영화와는 달리 내러티브상에서 전개되는 캐릭터들의 정서적 변화에 따른 이미지 연출이 더욱 강조 된다. 이는 관객들의 감정이입을 강화시키는 중요한 수단이 된다.

Purpose: The purpose of this narrative study was to understand how family caregivers interpreted themselves life during caring for dying patients with gliobalstoma, and how they integrated these experiences into their personal biographies. Methods: Three family caregivers were recruited for the study. Data were collected through a series of audio-taped unstructured interviews and conversations with participants. The interviews and observation were conducted between October and November, 2011. Data were analyzed using psychosocial analytical methods that combined case based, in-depth staged analysis of narratives. Results: The life experiences of the family caregivers with a dying family member were summarized as, in their own voices, 'the repetition of gliobalstoma,' 'a smart patient,' 'being obsessed with rehabilitation treatment,' 'the frustration from nothing but just looking at the suffering of the patient,' and 'a stubborn son'. Conclusion: Caregiving was characterised by various roles and life changes from the moment of diagnosis. Family caregivers of brain tumor reported experiences similar to those described by caregivers of people with other cancers. What differed for this group was the rapidity of change and the need for immediate information and support to assist with caring for a person with high-grade glioma.
