The increase of mass communication, such as radio, TV, newspaper, magazines and the frequent fashion shows showed fine design and practical western style dress to the women. • This study aims to understand causal relationship among preference factors - preferred design, design image, and design elements-to create interaction between artists and spectators, concerning eating and drinking table decoration which is produced with subjective representation chiefly by virtue of the authors' conceptualization and planning. As an experimental research , face-to-face personal interviews have been made in off-line setting through questionnaires. Acquired information from it has been analyzed, which results are as follows. As harmonious, warm, womanish design image, combination of pink-tone similar colors were preferred. As image adjectives highly related with design preference were 'harmonious and inharmonious' A design factor of 'harmonious' was combination of similar colors, while that of 'inharmonious' was association of mixed colors. It has been found that 'colors' have been an important factor among preference design factors. As above, a new concept for design can be established by using data-based information, along with suggesting a direction for preferred design in the field of eating and drinking table decoration. Furthermore, it will be possible to make a study of new preferred design through evaluation of quantitative spectators in this area. It is expected that such researches could give an opportunity to get satisfactory results from newly experimented designs using quantitative data even in a creative design area, as well as table decoration.

  • This study reveals the absence of standard design guidelines by region through investigation and analysis centered on public design cases by region in Jeollabuk-do and design elements that can reflect the integration, identity, and diversity of public design in each region by five regions. Through this, the following conclusions could be obtained. First, to improve the quality of street facilities in Jeollabuk-do, the design elements (design motif, color, pattern) applicable to the standard design were analyzed by dividing them into five regions. As a design motif, it was possible to extract patterns containing straight lines, sophistication, dignity, and smartness. In the Northeast region, it is comfortable with the motif of the mountain ridge reflecting geographical characteristics, and it can be extracted elements that contain warm and natural colors. In the southeastern region, patterns that reflect design elements were extracted by applying safe, lively, and peaceful colors with the design motif of curves that blend nature and agriculture. In the southwestern region, design pattern elements that highlight nature, history, and culture were extracted with various cultural assets and natural greenery as motifs. Lastly, in the Saemangeum region, the ocean flow and greenery could be used as a design motif to reflect a positive, clear, future-oriented image in the design spot zones by region. Second, based on the standard design elements (design motive, color, pattern) by region extracted for the standard design development of street facilities in each region in Jeollabuk-do, an integrated zone(Form, structure, material, color, functional element) to which regional design guidelines can be applied. Third, an integrated zone (form, structure, material, color, functional elements) was composed. In addition, design spot zones (patterns and colors in city and county units) that can contain the diversity and identity of each region were designated. By designating design spot zones (patterns and colors in city and county units) that can contain the diversity and identity of each region, standard design development plans (integrated pillars, jaywalking prevention fences, roundabouts (urban type, rural type), street trees) Eight standard designs, including protective covers, street planters, flat benches, light benches, visual media for user guidance, and parking zones for personal mobile devices) were presented.

The dyeing of aramid fibers is considered to be very difficult and their dyeing mechanism is not well illucidated. Therefore, this study is to establish the dyeing & printing technology for aramid fibers. The effects of swelling agent and neutral salt in the dye bath on the obtained colors were studied. Also dyeing method of aramid fibers depending on dyeing temperature and dye concentration were established. Color fastness of the dyed aramid fabric with cationic dyes were acceptable excluding light fastness.

After Russian Revolution, the artists like Nadeshda Lamanowa, Ljubow Popowa and Warwara Stepanova decided to devote to practical art area for many People. It's very meaningful for them to jump into real work places like a textile mill and a clothing workshop instead of staying in fine art area. Constructivism is more related to social interest rather than individual thing. The artists tried to apply their modeling principles in fine art to dress making. We can see the geometrical lines and shapes and big differences In colors and material in their dress. The artists had also shown personal tastes to dress works. This idea of togetherness with their time and even to create the style of it. was very renovative at that time and gave an influence on the later styles.

  • When consumer evaluates a product, every aspec of the product affects the evaluation. Human uses at least five sensory organs for the evaluation. Multi-sensory or multi-modal design tries to add auditory and olfactory factors to the traditional visual-centered design. For the multi-modal design, it is essential to understand relationships between combined sensory stimuli and human sensibility. Information between simple sensory stimulus and human sensibility is pre-requisite to combine multi-modal stimuli. This study investigated human sensibility against 8 colors and 30 sounds, presented independently. The combined stimuli of color and sound were made based on the sensibility generated by each stimulus. Human sensibility generated by the combined stimuli of color and sound were made based on the sensibility generated by each stimulus. Human sensibility generated by the combined stimuli was investigated with 20 female subjects. For combined stimuli that generated the same kind of sensibility respectively, generated sensibility was same but strength was diminished. For combined stimuli that generated the different sensibilities respectively, subjects showed neutral sensibility or no special sensibilities. Sensibilities to the same stimuli also showed difference depending on personal background of the subjects.
