단상 영구자석형 유도동기기의 정상상태 특성해석 (Steady-State Characteristic Analysis of Single-Phase Line-Start Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor)

  • This paper deals with steady-state analysis of a single-phase line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor. In order to analyze the steady-state characteristics, the asymmetric single-phase line-start synchronous motor is converted to the symmetric two-phase synchronous motor, that is, the asymmetric magnetic field is separated from the positive and the negative symmetric components using symmetrical-component theory. The analysis method of the synchronous motor on the d-q axis coordinates is used for the positive component and the equivalent circuit of the induction motor is applied for the negative component analysis. Moreover, d-q axis inductance considering current phase angle is applied to positive component analysis for precise characteristic analysis. In order to validate the proposed analysis method, the analysis results are compared with the experimental results.

  • Lately, many approaches of speed sensorless control method for Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(IPMSM) ha, been developed. This paper proposes a novel sensorless algorithm for speed estimation of IPMSM. First of all, proposes sensorless method estimates flux of rotor using foundational voltage equation of IPMSM and then estimates position and speed of rotor using Phase Locked Loop(PLL). Proposed sensorless algorithm demonstrated through simulation using Matlab simulink and experiment.

  • In this paper, design of PMA-RSM(permanent magnet assisted reluctance synchronous motor) for washing machine using FEM(finite element method) is presented and algorithms to maximize electromagnetic torque is introduced. FEM has been approached to show the effects of motor parameters on the developed average torque and maximum torque. The designed motor is a combination of salient poles, which is making reluctance torque, and permanent magnet which are located on the air-gap of rotor to get a enough torque during low speed resign. And to verify availability of the proposed PMA-RSM, various simulation are done as compared with bldc motor which is used for washing machine.

Reduced-Order Unscented Kalman Filter for Sensorless Control of Permanent-Magnet Synchronous Motor

  • The unscented Kalman filter features a direct transforming process involving unscented transformation for removing the linearization process error that may occur in the extended Kalman filter. This paper proposes a reduced-order unscented Kalman filter for the sensorless control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor. The proposed method can reduce the computational load without degrading the accuracy compared to the conventional Kalman filters. Moreover, the proposed method can directly estimate the electrical rotor position and speed without a back-electromotive force. The proposed Kalman filter for the sensorless control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor is verified through the simulation and experimentation. The performance of the proposed method is evaluated over a wide range of operations, such as forward and reverse rotations in low and high speeds including the detuning parameters.

Optimization of PI Controller Gain for Simplified Vector Control on PMSM Using Genetic Algorithm

  • This paper proposes the used of genetic algorithm for optimizing PI controller and describes the dynamic modeling simulation for the permanent magnet synchronous motor driven by simplified vector control with the aid of MATLAB-Simulink environment. Furthermore, three kinds of error criterion minimization, integral absolute error, integral square error, and integral time absolute error, are used as objective function in the genetic algorithm. The modeling procedures and simulation results are described and presented in this paper. Computer simulation results indicate that the genetic algorithm was able to optimize the PI controller and gives good control performance of the system. Moreover, simplified vector control on permanent magnet synchronous motor does not need to regulate the direct axis component current. This makes simplified vector control of the permanent magnet synchronous motor very useful for some special applications that need simple control structure and low cost performance.

  • 본 논문에서는 저분해능 위치센서를 갖는 표면부착형 영구자석 동기전동기의 새로운 전류센서 없는 단위 전류당 최대 토크 제어를 제안한다. 영구자석 동기전동기의 수학적 모델로부터 d축 전류를 추정하고, 추정된 d축 전류가 영(零)이 되도록 d축과 q축 전압지령 사이의 위상 각을 제어하여 단위 전류 당 최대 토크 제어를 구현한다. 제안된 방식은 동적 응답 특성이 느린 저가 응용 분야에 적합하다.

  • The characteristics of permanent magnet synchronous motor are defined by airgap flux and circuit parameters. Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(IPMSM) has a nonlinear characteristics due to structural speciality of rotor, so it is difficult to analyze circuit parameters and field-weakening characteristics of IPMSM. This paper presents the calculation of circuit parameters by using Finite Element Method(FEM) taken into consideration of nonlinear characteristics. Using the circuit parameters by FEM, IPMSM is analyzed to field-weakening characteristics and is compared with the Equivalent Magnetic Circuit(EMC) in which lumped parameter is consideration.

Analysis of Detent Force Reduction Method in a Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor

  • The severe problem in improving the positioning precision of a permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM) is the large detent farce caused by the permanent magnet arrangement. It is generally an undesired effect that contributes to the torque ripple, vibration and noise of machine. The detent force is arisen from the difference of the position of a permanent magnet end and a tooth position. In this paper, the four methods to reduce detent force were studied and analyzed. The methods are adjusting the width of permanent magnet, varying the shape of armature teeth, relocating the permanent magnet, and adjusting the width of permanent magnet and relocating the permanent magnet at the same time. To analyze the detent farce according to flour methods, a two-dimensional Finite Element Analysis [FEA] was used and we compared with the ratio of reduction of the detent farce according to the flour methods.

  • This paper presents the self-commissioning for surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor. The proposed strategy executes three tests with a vector controlled inverter drive system. To do this, synchronous d-q axes currents are appropriately controlled for each test. From the three tests, armature resistance, armature inductance, equivalent iron loss resistance, and emf coefficient are identified automatically. The validity of the proposed strategy is confirmed by experimental results.

  • The line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor has a high efficiency and an advantage in constant speed operation regardless of the effect of load variation. However it is difficult to predict the performance of characteristics accurately, because of the unbalanced starting torque with the initial starting position of the rotor and the generation of a break torque. In this paper the dynamic characteristics of the line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor are described and compared with those of the squirrel-cage induction motor through the simulation to find the characteristics of the permanent magnets and the rotor bars in the line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor.
