The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship among the frequency of perfume usage and perfume attitude. perfume consuming behaviors and demographies. The data were collected from 352 female college students using questionnaire. Three groups including Large amount users(30.1%), Medium amount users(33.8%), and Small amount users(36.1%) were identified by the frequency of perfume usage. The results were summarized as follows : 1. There were significant differences on perfume attitudes and perfume consuming behaviors among the three groups. The more they use perfume, the more they feel pleasure and self-confidence. Most subjects preferred overseas prestige and popular perfume. And they obtained perfume informations through magazine ads and article. 2. There were significant differences demographic characteristics among the three groups. The older and the higher social status frequently used perfume. This study will provide useful marketing data and implications for activation of domestic perfume market.
This study is on perfume case that is one of a great number of ornaments which was designed by out ancestors. We had developed the tradition and the history of perfume case bag fan-weight etc. These have the same function as the present perfume. case. The results were as follows; 1. The first use of perfume is perfume through smoke which is for ceremony of religion It removes human body odor by degrees and spreads a sweet odor. Also the materials for making perfume of early age is aromatic plants which will be used flour-made flowers stems. As the materials for making perfume use is increasing today we can invent alcohol perfume today 2. Our country the custom of perfume-used is wide. Among them men's perfume-used was very special phenomenon. For example men were wearing perfume bag in the Silla era. Because perfume represented wealth and noble in those days. They shew off social position personality through perfume-used. 3. One of early religion ceremony article there was the perfume. And perfume case was means for containing perfume. Gradually the perfume case was used widly as increasing needs of perfume in human life. 4. In the middle period of 'Koryo' Dynasty perfume cases had a close relationship with clothes but after Mongolian has been attacked 'Koryo' there were changes in wearing clothes therefore the position of perfume cases were transfered to coat string that was the origin of decoration style that they began. The purpose of this study were to investigate the influences of fashion leadership on consumers'evaluation of domestic and imported perfume product, and perfume purchasing behaviors and to find out the demographics and consumer value on fashion leadership. The data were collected from 369 female college students using questionnaire. The results were as follows: First, there were significant differences on consumers'evaluation of domestic and imported perfume product between the groups on fashion leadership. The higher the fashion leadership, the much positive consumers'evaluation of imported perfume product. Second, Fashion leaders'the frequency of perfume usage and the pieces of perfume product were higher than fashion followers. The most important perfume attribute of all groups was scent, and fashion leader took the much significant view of brand name than fashion followers. Third, Fashion leaders'economical level and pleasure oriented value was higher than fashion followers.

This research explored perfume consumption behaviors and fragrance sensibility attitude according to perfume involvement level. Data were collected by surveying 241 female college students who are recognized as a core consumer group for perfume products in Korea. The collected data were analyzed through descriptive analysis, factor analysis, and t-test. In results, 241 respondents were classified into 2 groups with respect to perfume involvement. Group difference was found in some of consumption behaviors and fragrance sensibility attitude. Specifically, the high involvement group used more often and spent more money on perfume, than did the low involvement group. Also, people highly involved with perfume shopped more often in perfume specialty stores, considering smelling test as the more important information source than did people in the low involvement group. Young females most liked delightful and young sensibility of perfume fragrance while they disliked stimulating and strong fragrance. People in the high involvement group preferred sophisticated and modem feelings of perfume fragrance more than did people in the low involvement group. Based on results, product development and marketing implications were generated.
The purposes of this study was to identify perfume purchasing and using behavior according to men's fashion lifestyle. Self-administered questionnaires were used for data collection. The subjects were 317 men aged 19-40. The results were as follows: First, over half of men had purchased at least one perfume during last year and the price was 30,000-60,000won. Men selected perfumes which harmonized with their image or purposes of using perfumes. Men selected a perfume as a present for their girl friends or wives to convey their concern or love. Most men purchased perfumes at department stores and selected after experiencing samples, and by affecting advertisements of newspapers or journals. Over 60% of men possessed at least one perfume and most of them were imported perfumes. Most men used perfume on a special day such as dates or job interviews, and they received perfume as a gift from their girl friends or wives. Most men used perfumes to enjoy fragrances by themselves and preferred sea fragrance most. Second, factors of men's fashion lifestyle were fashion information, individuality, conservativeness, ostentation, activity, and fashion style. Men were segmented into ostentatious consumption group, active group, fashion leader group, and fashion retard group. Third, fashion leader group purchased perfumes more than other groups and fashion retard group purchased the least.

Purpose: This study looked at perfume buying patterns among 328 adolescents. Research design, data and methodology: The purchasing behaviors and attitudes of adolescents were divided into clusters and whether the purchasing behaviors and attitudes of each cluster had a moderating effect on purchasing behavior factors was analyzed. Results: Group classification according to attitude toward perfume purchasing behavior was divided into group 1, which purchases perfume according to one's own subjective opinion, and group 2, who purchases perfume according to external factors. Among the six purchasing behavior factors, the internal pleasure-seeking (p.<001) and fashion-seeking (p.<001) factors were statistically significant in both clusters 1 and 2, and in cluster 2, economic feasibility (p.<001)) internal product. It was found to be statistically significant other than pleasure and trend-seeking, indicating that there is a difference between the two groups. Conclusion:Adolescents consider economic feasibility when purchasing perfume, so it is necessary to set low prices and diversify products for marketing plans for perfume products
The purpose of this study was to explore consumer behavior of perfume products. Data were collected through 7 focus group interviews with 33 female consumers whose ages ranged between the 20's and 40's. According to analysis of groups divided by age and frequency of use, some group differences were found in information source, purchase place, consideration factors, fragrance preference, etc. The study results indicated that perfume consumption behaviors could be explained in part by the innovation adoption and communication theories. Especially, relative advantage, compatibility, observability, and trialability were important factors influencing consumers' adoption of new perfume. Also, many respondents used perfume as a tool to present their own image and identity, as well as to send messages regarding their mood and condition to others.
The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of product quality and value of perfume on purchase intention, and, as an antecedent, an empirical analysis was conducted regarding the effect of image characteristics of a perfume on the quality and value of perfume perceived by consumers, in order to study consumer behaviors towards perfume as a product and find issues related to development and sales of perfumes. The result shows that refreshingness and modernity influence perceived quality and value of perfume, while stimulation and romantic quality did not have an effect. Also, the perceived quality and value had an effect on purchase intention, with the former being more influential than the latter. This study is meaningful in two aspects: First, it is an empirical study of consumers' quality perception based on image characteristics. Second, it verified through empirical analysis that perceived quality is more influential than perceived value on perfume purchase intention of consumers. These findings suggest that consumers today, unlike consumers in the past who purchased perfume based on the brand, focus on quality when choosing a perfume. This study can help perfume companies realize the importance of having consumers perceive good quality of the product rather than relying on brand power.

The purpose of this study was to identify important factors influencing fragrance sensibility responses as well as to explore fragrance sensibility factors affecting attitude toward and buying intention of perfume products. For data collection, smelling experiments were conducted with seven groups of 34 female consumers who are aged from the 20's to 40's. Data were analyzed by ANOVA, t-test, factor analysis, and linear regression analysis. In results, five factors (pleasant, romantic, stimulating, modem, familiar factors) were generated from the factor analysis of 24 fragrance sensibility factors. These fragrance sensibility factors significantly affected both attitude toward and buying intention of perfume products. Pleasant, romantic and familiar factors were considered as important factors affecting attitude and buying intention while the stimulating factor affected only buying intention. Fragrance sensibility factors influencing attitude and buying intention of perfume products differed in terms of age and purchase level of consumers.
This study analyzed the in vitro physiological activity of Aconitum pseudolaeve var erectum Nakai (AP) and its effect on perfume on an electroencephalogram (EEG). The results indicated that the absolute alpha power spectrum (AA) and the absolute theta power spectrum (AT) decreased significantly during more than before the inhalation of the AP perfume and its reconstruction perfume. Although there were a little different pattern in the induced part of the wave generated by the inhalation of the AP perfume and its reconstruction perfume, alpha- and theta- were shown equally. In addition, there was the same pattern in which the rate of increase reduced. The results suggest that the perfume of the AP and its reconstruction perfume have a stimulating effect on the brain. In terms of the physiological activity of AP, the activity of AP ethanol extract was significantly higher than that of water extract in DPPH, collagenase, and nitric oxide, except for an astringent effect. The AP ethanol extract was about 80% at 500 ppm in collagenase inhibition activity. In addition, the AP water and ethanol extracts were 50% at 100 ppm in the NO inhibition activity. Based on these results, we conclude that this natural substance could be used in cosmetics and in the development of perfumes.
