The conventional telemetry system of Korean low-earth orbiting satellites has certain limitations in accommodating various missions. As the payload becomes complex, it requires very complicated operational concepts in terms of telemetry. With the current design, the telemetry formats have to be rebuilt whenever new payloads or operation concepts are involved, and many constraints in operation shall be produced due to the lacks of its flexibility. As the capability and performance of a satellite have been improved, the communication structure of the satellite should be improved to gather more telemetry data. For the efficiency of data handling, it is necessary to change the grid based telemetry system in which the downlink interval and types for telemetry was limited. Comparing the fixed data map such as grid type, the packet based telemetry system can be operated as flexible and various types of packet can be designed such as the dump packet and the event packet. The sequence of the packets can be modified or newly defined to manage the massive satellite state of health data. In this paper, a new strategy for the telemetry development partially derived from PUS (Packet Utilization Standard) of European Space Agency, which provides enhanced features for the accommodation of payloads & operational requirements, is presented.

As computer systems of high capacity and high performance recently emerged, various researches about GISs(Geographic Information Systems) have been in progress and many GIS applications have also been developed. From the domestic situation where many people are using mobile devices, because of the recent advances in the mobile technology, we can infer that the time will come when every individual will carry a mobile device with a GPS(Global Positioning System) module resulting from the development of a miniature GPS Module. Therefore, a mobile GIS that can allows users to deal with dynamic GIS data management and perform their tasks while moving will be required. This paper discusses the design and implementation of a mobile GIS using the shareware DBMS, called postgresSQL. The Mobile GIS in which a mobile concept is utilized at the GIS data server makes it possible to insert, delete, update GIS data, to zoom in and zoom out displayed maps, and to locate the user's position on the client device. Therefore, It is possible to manage dynamic GIS data in order to deal with GIS data on the maps while moving, connect various GIS data servers through the middleware, and connected with ITS (Intelligent Transport System) which is one of applications of the Mobile GIS developed in this paper.

In this study, we evaluated the performance of Korea Land Data Assimilation System (KLDAS) for the estimation of evapotranspiration (ET) by comparing the modeled against the observed ET at Gwangneung deciduous forest of KoFlux site (GDK) from 2006 to 2008. Although the magnitudes of ET by KLDAS overestimated the observed ET, the seasonal patterns of KLDAS ET were comparable with the correlation coefficient of 0.78. The difference between the KLDAS ET and the observed ET was larger in spring and summer due to rapid plant growth and frequent rainfalls with high cloud cover, respectively. Compared to the ET estimated by NASA Global Land Data Assimilation System (GLDAS) with $0.25^{\circ}$ and $1^{\circ}$ resolution, the ET by KLDAS with 10 km resolution showed better agreement with the observation at the GDK site. Albeit further improvement is necessary, our results suggest that KLADS can be used as a practical tool to map ET and to examine its spatiotemporal variability over the Korean Peninsula.
The IMRT planning depends on the algorithm of each planning system and MLC performance of each Linac system. Yonsei Cancer Center introduced an IMRT System at the beginning of February, 2002. The system consists of CORVUS (Nomos, U.S.A.) treatment planning system, LANTIS, PRIMEVIEW and PRIMART (Siemens, U.S.A) linac system. The optimization of CORVUS planning system with PRIMART is an important task to make a desirable quality treatment plan. Our Step & Shoot IMRT system uses Finite Size Pencil Beams (FSPB) dose model, simulated annealing optimization algorithm and IMFAST segmentation algorithm. We constructed treatment plans for four different patient cases with two basic beamlet sizes, 1.0$\times$1.0 $\textrm{cm}^2$ and 0.5$\times$1.0 $\textrm{cm}^2$, and four intensity steps, 5%, 10%, 20%, 33%. Each case's plan was evaluated with the dose volume histograms of target volumes and delivery efficiencies. The patient case of small target volume is sensitive at the change of intensity map's segmentation and it highlighted an effective treatment plan at marrow intensity step and small basic projection beamlet.

Multiple spatial queries are defined as two or more spatial range queries to be executed at the same time. The primary processing of internet-based map services is to simultaneously execute multiple spatial queries. To improve the throughput of multiple queries, the time of disk I/O in processing spatial queries significantly should be reduced. The declustering scheme of a spatial dataset of the MIMD architecture cannot decrease the disk I/O time because of random seeks for processing multiple queries. This thesis presents query scheduling strategies to ease the problem of inter-query random seeks. Query scheduling is achieved by dynamically re-ordering the priority of the queued spatial queries. The re-ordering of multiple queries is based on the inter-query spatial relationship and the latency of query processing. The performance test shows that the time of multiple query processing with query scheduling can be significantly reduced by easing inter-query random seeks as a consequence of enhanced hit ratio of disk cache.
Korean government has promoted the projects of National Geographic Information Systems since 1995 and the utilization level of Korean National Spatial Data Infrastructure based on them has also developed. However, due to the limit to domestic market size and the legal regulation on prohibition of large sized companies' expansion into domestic spatial information markets, Korean spatial information markets are tied up in term of industrial competitiveness. To overcome those problems and evade the domestic red oceans, it is necessary to find new one in overseas' blue ocean markets. It is estimated that overseas spatial information market will be grown to 125 billion-dollar size and the annual growth rate of it will be reached to 10.5% until 2015. Thus, Asian spatial information market has a huge growth potential and it is newly rising blue oceans for Korea. Advanced countries such as Finland, Germany, Sweden, and Japan have already expanded their market size into the newly industrializing countries. To step with advanced countries, it is time to set up the new globalization strategy of Korean spatial information for expansion into newly industrializing markets. The purpose of this study is to analyze the SWOT of domestic spatial information, investigate the status on spatial information of Asian developing countries, and suggest the globalization strategy of Korean spatial information for expansion into them. The globalization strategy can be labelled as K-FBI composed of 4 domains such as Knowledge sharing platform, Frontier, Back to the basic, and Internalization. In near future, the establishment and performance of road map based on the strategy will be the milestone for Korean spatial information companies' advance into Asian developing countries.
Dose calculations which are a crucial requirement for radiotherapy treatment planning systems require accuracy and rapid calculations. The conventional radiotherapy treatment planning dose algorithms are rapid but lack precision. Monte Carlo methods are time consuming but the most accurate. The new combined system that Monte Carlo methods calculate part of interesting domain and the rest is calculated by neural can calculate the dose distribution rapidly and accurately. The preliminary study showed that neural networks can map functions which contain discontinuous points and inflection points which the dose distributions in inhomogeneous media also have. Performance results between scaled conjugated gradient algorithm and Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm which are used for training the neural network with a different number of neurons were compared. Finally, the dose distributions of homogeneous phantom calculated by a commercialized treatment planning system were used as training data of the neural network. In the case of homogeneous phantom;the mean squared error of percent depth dose was 0.00214. Further works are programmed to develop the neural network model for 3-dimensinal dose calculations in homogeneous phantoms and inhomogeneous phantoms.
In this paper, we have implemented the living waste analysis system based on IoT and AI(Artificial Intelligence), and proposed effective waste process and management method. The Jeju location have the strong point to devise a stratagem and estimate waste quantization, rather than others. Especially, we can recognized the amount variation of waste to the residence people compare to the sightseer number, and the good example a specific waste duty. Thus this paper have developed the IoT device for interconnecting the existed CCTV camera, and use the AI algorithm to analysis the waste image. By using these decision of image analysis, we can inform their deal commend and a decided information to the map of the waste cars. In order to evaluate the performance of IoT, we have experimented the electromagnetic compatibility under a national official authorization KN-32, KN61000-4-2~6, and obtained the stable experimental results. In the further experimental results, we can applicable for an data structure for precise definition command by using the simulated several waste image with artificial intelligence algorithm.

For the expansion of the Semantic Web, studies in converting the data stored in the relational database into the ontology are actively in process. Such studies mainly use an RDB to RDF mapping model, the model to map relational database components to RDF components. However, pre-proposed mapping models have got different expression modes and these damage the accessibility and reusability of the users. As a consequence, the necessity of the standardized mapping language was raised and the W3C suggested the R2RML as the standard mapping language for the RDB to RDF model. The R2RML has a characteristic that converts only the relational database schema data to RDF. For the same reasons above, the ontology about the relation data between table name and column name of the relational database cannot be added. In this paper, we propose an RDB to RDF mapping system considering semantic relations of RDB components in order to solve the above issue. The proposed system generates the mapping data by adding the RDFS attribute data into the schema data defined by the R2RML in the relational database. This mapping data converts the data stored in the relational database into RDF which includes the RDFS attribute data. In this paper, we implement the proposed system as a Java-based prototype, perform the experiment which converts the data stored in the relational database into RDF for the comparison evaluation purpose and compare the results against D2RQ, RDBToOnto and Morph. The proposed system expresses semantic relations which has richer converted ontology than any other studies and shows the best performance in data conversion time.
Nowadays, GPS-photogrammetry can be applied to the basemap production, a land register and NGIS. And from now on, as the increase of GPS receiver rate, the study on the interpolation methods considering the exact movement of an aircraft at photoflight and the study on the supplement of GPS defect by INS are required continuously. GPS-Photogrammetry, which are based on the direct measurement of the projection centers and attitude at the moment of camera exposure time through loading the GPS receiver in aircraft. This photogrammetric methods can of for us to acquire the exterior orientation parameters with only minimum ground control points, even the ground control process could be completely skipped. Consequently, we can drastically reduce the time and cost far the mapping process. In this thesis, two test flights were conducted in area to evaluate the performance of accuracy and efficiency through the analysis of results between the two photogrammetric methods, that is, traditional photograrammetry, GPS-Photogrammetry. Test results shows that a large variety of advantages of GPS-Photogrammetry against traditional photogrammetry is to be verified. Especially, the number of ground control points for the exterior orientation could be saved more than 70~80%, and the cost far map production 30~50%, respectively. In addition, it was convinced that the large reduction of control points has not any effect on the block accuracy.
