EVALUATION OF CAMERA PERFORMANCE USING ISO-BASED CRITERIA

  • This paper investigates the performance of a vehicular rear-view camera through quantifying the image quality based on several objective criteria from the ISO (International Organization for Standardization). In addition, various experimental environments are defined considering the conditions under which a rear-view camera may need to operate. The process for evaluating the performance of a rear-view camera is composed of five objective criteria: noise test, resolution test, OECF (opto-electronic conversion function) test, color characterization test, and pincushion and barrel distortion tests. The proposed image quality quantification method then expresses the results of each test as a single value, allowing easy evaluation. In experiments, the performance evaluation results are analyzed and compared with those for a regular digital camera.

  • The advantages of solar energy are that it is renewable, infinite supplied and environmentally safe energy source. However, solar energy related products have the problems such as the limitation for installation, problems in maintenance and insufficient reliability which have been the barrier to consumers to satisfy the purchase need for solar heat related products. In this regard, in order to support the solar energy related companies the necessity for various technical information required for the commercialization of new products such as various performance test necessary for the certification of solar energy system, standardization for facilities and products, performance evaluation method and the measurement of performance is suggested. The purpose of this paper is to design the monitoring system for positive tests of system linked household hot water system using solar heat out of various solar energy systems, to establish an analysis and monitoring system for performance maintenance and operation technique, and to configure the centralized detection network by utilizing remote monitoring system. This research also aims at conducting monitoring for operation and performance evaluation in relation to database establishment and analytical evaluation and at describing the method of enhancing the reliability of solar energy system through the development of performance evaluation program.

엘리베이터 설치 작업용 시스템 비계의 구조 성능 평가 (Structural Performance Evaluation of System Scaffolding for Elevator Installation Work)

  • This study performed a structural performance evaluation of a system scaffolding for elevator installation work developed in previous studies. The structural performance was evaluated via a structural test conducted to apply the working load specified in the design standard. The deflection of the horizontal member and the stress of each member constituting the system scaffolding were measured. Consequently, the structural safety evaluation including structural behavior and required performance was performed using the deflection and stresses measured from the structural test. The structural test and safety evaluation results based on the heavy working load corresponding to the design load indicated that the deflection, which is the performance criterion of the horizontal member, did not exceed the allowable value. Further, each member's stress, which is a safety evaluation indicator, did not exceed the allowable strength for both horizontal and vertical members with bending behavior and fordable bracing with tensile behavior, while also satisfying the required safety factor. In addition, the results confirmed the safety against deformation, partial damage, and destruction owing to excessive and maximum load. Therefore, the system scaffolding developed in this study satisfies both the structural performance and safety required by the design standards; thus, it can be applied to elevator installation work sites.

건물내장재(석고보드, 합판)의 화재성능평가 (The Evaluation of Fire Safety Performance on Interior Finish Materials (Gypsum Board, Plywood))

  • 본 연구는 국내와 외국의 건물 내장재 화재성능평가방법을 고찰하고 국내에는 도입되지 않은 실대 화재실험인 Room Corner Test를 국내 내장재중 석고보드와 합판을 대상으로 그 적용성을 위한 실험을 진행하였다. 현재 국내 내장재의 평가규정은 Bench-Scale Test에 의존하고 있으나, 미국, 일본 유럽등에서는 Room Corner Test를 적용한 실질적인 재료의 화재성능평가를 시행하고 있다. 실험 결과, NFPA 265에 의한 석고보드 및 ISO 9705에 의한 합판의 성능은 양호한 것으로 판단되었다. 현재 국내 내장재에 적용되는 등급분류의 평가방법은 재료의 실제 화재성능 평가에 한계가 있으므로 향후 Room Corner Test의 적용과 더불어 Bench-Scale Test 결과를 토대로 화재성능을 예측하는 화재모델을 이용하는 평가 방법의 도입이 필요하다.

금융시장에서 영업사원의 지각된 평가 공정성과 직무성과 간의 구조적 관계 (Structural Relationship between Salesperson's Perceived Evaluation Fairness and Job Performance in the Financial Market)

  • Purpose - Salesperson perceptions of the fairness and accuracy of a performance evaluation system were examined by managerial and professional employees of large organization. The performance evaluation process is central to many personal decisions such as attitude for job and sales performance. This study investigates the relationship between perceived evaluation fairness, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and sales performance. The main purpose of this study is to develop and empirically test a comprehensive model of salespersons' perceived evaluation fairness on sales performance. For this purpose, we identified the structural relationship between perceived evaluation fairness, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and sales performance. Also we investigate the mediating effects on job satisfaction and organizational commitment between perceived evaluation fairness and sales performance. Research design, data, and methodology - To empirically test these relationships, data were collected by in-depth interviews from sales managers and questionnaire surveys from 300 salespersons who work for sales area (credit card company, insurance company). Demographically, the overall sample was 91.6% female, 77.9% 30s and 40s, and 34% college educated, with an average tenure with their present organizations of 4 years. The questionnaire was composed of total 20 items dealing with frequency, quality, and consequences of perceived evaluation fairness, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and sales performance. To test the research hypotheses, collected data analyzed by confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structure equation model (SEM). Results - Through extensive and rigorous literature review process of related literature(Perceived evaluation fairness, Job satisfaction, Organizational commitment, Sales performance), research model and research hypothesis was set up. This study obtains the following research results. First, perceived evaluation fairness has a positive effect on job satisfaction, whereas the effects of perceived evaluation fairness on organizational commitment and sales performance did not show statistically significant result. Second, job satisfaction and organizational commitment have complete mediating roles to the relationship between perceived evaluation fairness and organizational commitment, and relationship between perceived evaluation fairness and sales performance. Conclusions - Based on the results, salespersons' perceived evaluation fairness is one of the key independent variable for making high job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and sales performance. Finally the theoretical, managerial implication and research limitations are mentioned in the discussion.

신변보호사 자격검정 실기시험제도의 개선방안 (Improvement Plans for Protection Specialist Guard Certification Performance test System)

  • 민간경비가 도입된 지 60여년이 지난 현재 민간경비와 관련된 국가공인 자격으로는 경비지도사와 신변보호사 자격제도가 있다. 본 연구에서는 2013년도부터 국가공인자격으로 실시 되어오고 있는 신변보호사 자격검정 사항 중에서 2차 실기시험제도의 문제점에 대하여 논의하였다. 현행 신변보호사 자격검정은 1차 학과시험과 2차 실기시험으로 분류하여 실시하고 있는 가운데 신변보호사의 자격 검증을 엄격히 하여 응시자에 대한 만족도와 대중의 신뢰도를 높여가야할 시기에 봉착하였다고 판단되어 신변보호사 실기시험제도의 문제점에 대한 개선방안을 다음과 같이 제시하였다. 첫째, 현재 단순하고 비교적 기초적인 실기시험 평가 항목의 난이도를 다양화 하여 구분하는 것이 필요하다. 둘째, 현재 실기시험 평가기술은 합기도의 기술분야에 치우쳐 있다고 볼 수 있어 각 무도분야의 실질적 활용가능성이 높은 기술을 복합적으로 접목시켜 다양화 하는 것이 필요하다. 셋째, 현재 일반화 되지 않은 실기시험 평가위원제도를 전문화된 실기시험 평가위원으로 선정할 수 있도록 기준안 마련이 필요하다. 넷째, 현재 실기시험 평가위원과 응시자의 관계에 있어 지인인 경우가 많아 객관성확보차원에서 제척제도를 신설하는 것이 필요하다. 이와 같이 신변보호사 자격검정 실기시험제도의 전문성을 고양시켜나가기 위해 관련기관의 제도적 개선이 시급히 이루어져야 할 것이다.

Development of an evaluation method for nuclear fuel debris-filtering performance

  • Fuel failure due to debris is a major cause of failure in pressurized water reactors. Fuel vendors have developed various filtering devices to reduce debris-induced failure and have evaluated filtering performance with their own test facilities and methods. Because of the different test facilities and methods, it is difficult to compare filtering performances objectively. This study presents an improved filtering test and an efficiency calculation method to fairly compare fuel-filtering efficiency regardless of the vendor's filtering features. To enhance the reliability of our evaluation, we established requirements for the test method and had a facility constructed according to the requirements. This article describes the debris specimens, the amount of debris, and the replicates for the proposed test method. A calculation method of comprehensive debris-filtering efficiency using a weighted mean is proposed. The test method was verified by repeated tests, and the tests were carried out using the PLUS7 and 17ACE7 test fuels to calculate the comprehensive debris-filtering efficiencies. The evaluation results revealed that the filtering performance of PLUS7 is better than that of 17ACE7. The proposed method can be used on any kind of debris-filtering devices and is appropriate for use as a standard.

구간 통행시간정보 평가를 위한 기준장비 개발 및 평가 방법 연구 (Method and Reference Equipment for Evaluation of Travel Time Information)

  • 현재 ITS 성능평가는 교통정보 수집 장비에 대한 평가를 중심으로 시행하고 있다. 하지만 교통정보 수집 장비에 대한 평가만으로는 도로 이용자에게 제공되는 교통정보의 신뢰성을 보장할 수 없기 때문에 ITS 서비스를 평가할 수 있는 제도적인 뒷받침이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 도로 이용자가 제공받는 구간 통행시간정보의 정확도를 평가할 수 있는 방법을 검토하였다. 그리고 실제 도로에서 데이터를 수집하기 위하여 이동식 평가 기준장비를 개발하였다. 개발한 평가 기준장비에 대한 성능평가와 현장 여건을 고려한 평가 방법을 마련하기 위해, 서울청 관할 국도 2개 구간에서 시범평가를 수행하였다. 평가 결과, 서울청에서 제공하는 통행시간정보는 90% 이상의 정확도로 높게 나타났다. 시범평가 결과를 바탕으로 표본 수를 늘리기 위한 기준장비 검지 방식 개선과 수집지점 위치 조정에 대한 사항을 논의하였다.
