This study was designed to identify the relationship between health perception and health behavior in nursing students and provide basic data for structuring the strategies of health promotion. The targets in this study were the 191 nursing students in nursing department of one national university in Chonju city. The data were collected during the period from 10 to 25 in Nov. 1995 by means of a structured questionnaire. Health perception was measured by the health perception questionnaire developed by Ware and translated by You. Health behavior was measured by health promotion questionnaire developed by Cho. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson correlation using the $SPSS-PC^+$ program. The results of this study were as follows; 1. The mean health perception score of the subjects was 3.21; the level of health perception was relatively high. 2. The mean health behavior score of the subjects was 3.61; the level of health behavior was relatively high. 3. When health perception and health behavior was analyzed by Pearson correlation., it was found that the higher the degree of health perception, the better the reported health behavior(r=.1463, p=.022). 4. General characteristics related to health perception were attitude and school life(p<0.05). General characteristics related to health behavior were degree, religion, attitude and school life(p<0.05).
The objectives of this study are : (1) to measure the level of economic stress perception in Korean farm households. (2) to identify the effects of related variables such as socio-demographic variables and economic stability. The data from 505 farm households' wives was analyzed using statistical methods such as frequency, correlation, oneway ANOVA, lease significant difference test, and stepwise multiple regression. The major findings are as follows : The mean value of economic stress perception on the 505 wives was 33.5 points out of a possible 100. Among 3 subsectors, income stress perception had highest score. Socio- demographic variables such as family size, type of farm household, financial manager, debt, credit . grant assistant, wife's age, and educational level of the wife had a significant difference on the economic stress perception of wives in the ANOVA analysis. So did the objective and subjective evaluation of economic stability. As a result of multiple regression analysis, economic stability, debt presence, and wife age were verified explaining 23% of the variance of economic stress perception. Therefore, it can be said that farm wives had relatively high economic stress perception in the case of low economic stability, getting into debt and low age.
Purpose: This study examines the relationship between the environment, society, and governance (ESG) perception of service providers and service quality by considering job satisfaction as a mediator in the Korean parcel delivery context. Methods: This study uses a multi-level analysis by incorporating organizational and individual levels of analysis. It employs a survey method for measuring the ESG perception of parcel delivery persons and service quality ratings from the Korean government. A hierarch regression analysis with 241 responses was used to test hypotheses. Results: The results of this study provide evidence that the ESG perception, particularly its social dimension, of parcel delivery persons is positively associated with service quality. This study also finds the positive effect of the ESG perception on job satisfaction. However, the mediating effect of job satisfaction between the ESG perception and service quality was not confirmed. Conclusion: This study presents significant implications for scholars and practitioners. Parcel delivery companies should implement relevant ESG activities and communicate them with their service persons to improve delivery service quality. The ESG perception of employees plays a critical role in the moment of truth in parcel service delivery to enhance customer satisfaction and service quality.

This study is aimed to retain objectivity and generality against consumer perception about seafood of Hebei Spirit oil spill incident area, and analyze gap of consumer perception in according to confidence level of seafood using ordinal logit model. As results, This article have three implications. First, Consumer don't have high confidence level in comparison with previous research. Second, It is important to retain confidence of quality for purchasing seafood of oil spill incident area. Third, Consumer perception is improved positively against seafood of oil spill area. But This study has limits that don't take regional opinion and situation into account.
In consideration of limitations of the classic economic approach to risk evaluation and the psychometric analysis of risk perception, this study applies a facilitated modeling technique to a group of college students in Korea. In this group activities, researchers did not provide a pre-selected list of risk items. Instead, 35 participants had group discussions to generate 63 risk items, to rate their risk level and to evaluate their characteristics in terms of the level of knowledge and dreadfulness. This study also analyzes the influence of mass media, online news papers in particular, on risk perception by counting the number of news articles covering key word corresponding risk items generated. The results show that there are significant differences between the rank order of risk items generated by students and that of statistical or objective risk. Psychometric analyses find that the levels of knowledge and dreadfulness have meaningful correlations with risk level. A well known or a dreadful risk demonstrates a high level of risk. Correlation analyses of media coverage and the risk level also re-confirms strong positive relations. The larger number of news articles a risk issue was covered by, the higher level of risk it showed. It means that college students generated risk items on the basis of what they were exposed by media. The role of mass media in risk perception and the importance of risk communication in risk evaluation are underlined. Implications of research findings and future research are discussed as well.
There was a difference in recognition of chemical substances according to cognitive level of GHS, knowledge level of organic solvents and each department of workers. they were showed higher recognition of chemical substances by research group, partially group and good group. To identify the relationship between types of job classification(group of department, group of GHS cognitive level and group of organic solvents knowledge level) and the levels of recognition of chemical substances, a total of 153 workers in a small and medium business workplace. Descriptive statistics(SAS ver 9.2)was performed. the results of recognition of chemical substances were analyzed the mean and standard deviation by t-test, and anova, (P=0.05). These results In general, small- and medium-sized workplaces have low levels of GHS awareness and organic solvents knowledge. The perception of chemical substances according to the departments. In general, the demand for chemical substances education was highly suggested regardless of the job type. There was a significant difference in the perception of health, safety and practice according to the level of GHS cognitive, and a high perception in the incomplete group. There was not much difference in average awareness of health, safety and practice according to organic solvents knowledge level, but there was a high perception in good group. It is very important to regularly check the worker's perception of the workplace and identify problems with the work environment and improve the work environment. In addition, each department presents appropriate safety and health education such as chemical process safety, toxicity of chemical substances and human exposure. We also propose a chemical substances assessment and management plan that integrates safety and health.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the change of perceptions of students', parents', teachers' on creativity and character education at the model school for creativity and character education. This study used pre and post tests to examine the effects of creativity and character education on students, parents, and teachers. The results were as follows. Firstly, operating model school for creativity and character education brought about the statistically meaningful changes of students' perception on creativity and character education. However, the changes seemed that the level of their perception on creativity and character education was not rational as the average is about 3.5 point. Secondly, operating model school for creativity and character education brought about the statistically meaningful changes of parents' perception on creativity and character education. However, the changes seemed that the level of their perception on creativity and character education was not rational as the average was about 3.5 point like their children. thirdly, operating model school for creativity and character education brought about the statistically meaningful changes of teachers' perception on creativity and character education. The changes seemed that the level of their perception on creativity and character education was rational as the average was about 4.5 point unlike their students and school parents. Fourthly, it seemed that the perception on creativity and character education showed a difference among students, school parents, and teachers.
This paper measured elderly consumers' perceptions of purchasing problems, and classified elderly consumers into 5 categories of purchasing problems using cluster analysis, and analyzed the relationships between the elderly consumers' perception type, socio economic variables, activities of daily living, and activities of healthy living. The data was collected from 500 elderly consumers in Ulsan Metropolitan City. Three clusters were extracted. 56.4% of the sample was included in 'redress and contract problems group', and 22.6% of the sample was included in 'less perception of purchasing problems group, and 21.0% of the sample was included in 'the perception of strong purchasing problems group. The elderly consumers' perception type of purchasing problems were related with socio-economic variables such as sex, existence of a spouse, the number of family living together, the number of children, education, the average monthly household income and allowance, activities of daily living, and activities of healthy living. The redress and contract problems group was found to be of midium level in socio-economic and health status, and included more females and less spouselessness. The perception of less purchasing problems group was found to be the highest level in socio-economic status, and included more males and less spouselessness. The perception of strong purchasing problems group was found to be at the lowest level of socio-economic status.
Purpose: This study was a descriptive survey study to examine the degrees of the health perception, health knowledge, and health promoting behavior in the elderly, and the relationship among the above factors. Methods: Subjects were 183 persons with the age over 65 years living in Seoul. Measures were Health Perception Questionnaire (HPQ) developed by Ware (1979), the health knowledge instrument developed by Ha Gwi-Yeom (2005), and the Health Promotion Lifestyle Profile (HPLP) developed by Walker, Sechrist & Pender (1987) and modified by Hong Young-Ae (2003). Data were collected from March 4 to April 12, 2007. Data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation using the SPSS program. Results: The mean level of health perception was 2.71(${\pm}0.77$), the mean level of health knowledge was 7.10(${\pm}1.82$), and the mean level of health promoting behavior $2.72{\pm}0.86$. Health promoting behavior showed a positive correlation with health perception (r=.715) and health knowledge (r=.543), and a positive relation was observed between health perception and health knowledge (r=.526). Conclusion: The enhancement of health perception and health knowledge are needed to improve health promoting behavior of the elderly. Also, the general characteristics of elderly should be considered to improve health promoting behavior of elderly.
In this study, the soy food intake behaviors including perception and intake frequency of soybean foods by sociodemographic variables were analyzed in housewives. The perception of housewives for soy foods showed that soybean paste, soybean curd, and Dambuk were high in the descending order for nutritional quality and health promotion effect, and soybean paste received the highest score in taste and flavor. Soybean sprouts received the highest evaluation score in the economic aspect. In the aspect of safe food, soybean paste received the highest evaluation score, as mush as a traditional food. The analysis of perception by sociodemographic variables showed that soybean curd, Dambuk, and soybean sprouts had higher perceptions as education level increased, and soy milk had higher perceptions in subjects with younger age and with employment. In the intake frequency, more than 50% of the subjects had soybean curd, soybean sprouts, and soybean paste more than once a week. The analysis for correlation between the intake frequency of soy foods and the degree of perception showed that taste and flavor had high correlation with the intake frequency of soy foods except soybean sprouts. The intake frequency of soybean paste, Dambuk, and soy milk had positive correlations to familiarity and that of soy milk had positive correlations to nutrition and health perception, and those of soybeam paste, soybean sprouts, and soy milk had positive correlations to safe food perception. From the above results, housewives in Korea had very high perceptions to nutritional quality and health promotion effect of soy foods and the degree of perception and accompanied intake frequency had significant differences by age, education level, and economic level among sociodemographic variables.
