Does Perceived Organizational Politics Mediate the Relationship between Job Satisfaction and Organizational Citizenship Behavior? Insights from Bangladesh

  • Purpose: This study mainly aims to investigate the connection between job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior of bank employee. Another objective of this study is to check out the mediating impact of perceived organizational politics of bank personnel on the connection between their job happiness and citizenship behavior. Research design, data and methodology: Snowball sampling is utilized in this study, which is done among bank personnel at different public and private banks across north-eastern region of Bangladesh as well as information is accumulated through the use of a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire. IBM SPSS v22, Andrew F. Hayes process macro v3.5 and SmartPLS 3 are used to complete descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: The study results explore that employees' political perception has a negative influence on organizational citizenship behavior where bank employees' job happiness has a positive impact on structural citizenship manners and negative impact on perceived organizational politics. Surprisingly, perceptions of organizational politics were found to have an insignificant mediating effect on the connection between job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior. Conclusions: The present study reveals that satisfied bank personnel shows positive and constructive actions toward their organization where their political perception has an insignificant mediation.

  • 융 복합 시대에 조직 구성원의 역할외 행동을 자연스럽게 유도하기 위해서는, 조직지원인식이라는 조직구성원의 인식에서 시작하여, 직무와 관련된 심리적 태도를 형성시킬 때, 조직 구성원은 조직시민행동을 보이게 된다. 따라서 본 연구는 조직 구성원의 조직시민행동을 이끌어 내기 위해, 조직지원인식을 독립변수로 설정하고, 개인의 심리적 변화 과정을 설명해 주는 심리적 임파워먼트와 조직몰입의 매개효과를 밝히고자 한다. 본 연구를 위해, 문헌고찰을 통한 이론적 연구와 설문지법을 활용한 실증적 연구 방법을 동시에 활용하였다. 분석결과 조직지원인식은 조직 몰입과 심리적 임파워먼트에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 조직 몰입과 심리적 임파워먼트는 조직 시민행동에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 조직 몰입과 심리적 임파워먼트는 조직 지원 인식과 조직 시민행동의 관계를 부분매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과는 조직시민행동이 발현되는 구체적인 과정을 밝히는 것으로, 이를 통해 조직 구성원들의 역할외 행동을 유발시킬수 있는 다양한 방안 마련에 기여할 것으로 사료된다.

  • Considering the above points, this study has been conducted to find out the effects brought by perceived organizational justice towards organizational citizenship behavior, with focus on multi-dimension and multi-class nature of trust. With this objective, I researched the following. First, which type gives larger effect to organizational citizenship behavior, the type of distributive justice (that is lower dimension of organizational justice) or that of procedural justice. Second, what effects are given to the 5 types of trust, by distributive justice and procedural justice. Also, what effects are given to organizational citizenship behavior by the 5 types of trust. Third, which type of justice gives larger effect to organizational citizenship behavior when trust is served as a medium. Fourth, which items should be dealt in priority to lead members of organization towards a desirable direction. The research for this purpose was conducted on the basis of comprehensive analysis of variable including. socio-population variable.

Jay-Customer Behavior's Influence on Job Stress and Customer Orientation: Perceived Organizational Support's Moderating Effect

  • The study aimed to analyze jay-customer behavior's impact on service industry employees' job stress to understand the importance of personnel management. Additionally, it aimed to identify strategies for managing job stress by examining perceived organizational support's moderating effects. The results show that the subdimensions of jay-customer behavior (i.e., verbal aggression, physical aggression, and sexual harassment) positively influenced employees' job stress. Second, job stress acts as a mediator between customer verbal and physical aggression and customer orientation, but not between customer sexual harassment and customer orientation. Third, organizational support had a moderating effect on the association between customer verbal aggression and job stress. This study demonstrates how jay-customer behavior negatively affects employees and threatens their well-being. It not only enriches the research on jay-customer behavior but also provides implications for service companies toward developing internal marketing strategies for enhancing employee happiness and fostering customer orientation.

간호 조직문화 7S 요인과 조직 유효성의 관계 (The Relationship Between 7S Factors of the Nursing Organizational Culture and Organizational Effectiveness)

  • Purpose: The Purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between 7S factors of the nursing organizational culture and organizational effectiveness. Method: The data were gathered from the self-reported questionnaires of 717 nurses who work for eight different general hospitals located around Seoul and Kyounggi province. The period of data collection was from November 12 to December 7, 2002. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, clustering analysis, and t-test with SPSS Program were used. Result: The nurses who highly perceived 7S factors of nursing organizational culture showed higher job satisfaction and organizational commitment in comparison with the nurses who lowly perceived 7S factors of nursing organizational culture. And the nurses who highly perceived 7S factors of nursing organizational culture showed higher organizational citizenship behavior in comparison with the nurses who lowly perceived 7S factors of nursing organizational culture. Among subdimension of organizational citizenship behavior, altruism and civic virtue were significant. Conclusion: From the above results, the high group with 7S factors of nursing organizational culture has strong culture, therefore nursing organization with strong culture is very implicative to enhance the organizational effectiveness.

진성리더십 및 조직지원 인식이 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Authentic Leadership and Perceived Organizational Support on Organizational Citizenship Behavior)

  • 본 연구는 사회복지시설종사자의 기능적 역할행동이 서비스의 질적 수준 제고를 위해 중요하다는 논의 과정에서 관심을 끌고 있는 조직시민행동에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악할 목적으로 수행되었다. 조직시민행동의 선행요인으로 논의되고 있는 다양한 요인 중에서 진성리더십과 조직지원인식을 선정하고 직무열의를 매개적 역할을 하는 변수로 연구모형을 구축하고 연구가설을 검증하기 위하여 실증적 분석을 실시하였다. 이를 위해 용인시에 있는 장애인복지시설과 노인복지시설에서 종사하는 230명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며 총 216부를 분석 자료로 활용하였다. 연구결과 진성리더십과 조직지원인식은 직무열의와 조직시민행동과 유의한 정(+)의 상관관계를 가지는 것으로 나타났으며 직무열의는 조직시민행동과 선행요인인 진성리더십과 조직지원인식간의 관계에서 완전매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 진성리더십과 조직지원인식은 직무열의에 직접적인 정적영향을 미치며, 조직지원인식의 영향력이 진성리더십에 비해 큰 것으로 나타났다. 이는 감정노동자인 복지시설종사자에게 인지적인 태도만을 요구하는 조직보다는 조직지원인식(물적, 인적지원)과 같은 보상체계의 확보가 중요함을 시사하고 있다.

The Effect of Shared Leadership perceived by organizational members on Team Learning Behavior and Team Effectiveness

  • The purpose of this study sought to determine the impact of shared leadership perceived by organizational members on team effectiveness and team learning behavior. For this purpose, the results of the empirical analysis of 206 organizational members are as follows. First, shared leadership was analyzed to improve team effectiveness. Second, shared leadership had a positive effect on team learning behavior. Third, team learning behavior was statistically significantly analyzed for team effectiveness. This study confirmed the importance of shared leadership, which has a positive impact on team effectiveness and team learning behavior. This may require building a new culture that can demonstrate the inherent leadership of organizational members in the influence relationship between shared leadership, team effectiveness, and team learning behavior. In other words, in order to systematically demonstrate and implement shared leadership, the execution ability of executives, managers, and working-level managers is important. To this end, it is necessary to build an organizational culture that matches the characteristics of the organization and develop and continuously implement human resource development systems and programs that can implement this.

조직 환경 및 영양사의 직무행동이 병원 급식$\cdot$영양서비스 품질에 미치는 영향 분석 (Analysis of the Effect of Dietitians' Work Behavior and Organizational Environment on Quality of Hospital Dietary Services)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the variables affecting the quality of hospital dietary services. The quality of hospital dietary services was investigated in two ways, which can be named by factual quality and perceived quality The variables affecting hospital dietary services were classified into two categories, $\ulcorner$organizational environment variables$\lrcorner$ and $\ulcorner$work behavior variables$\lrcorner$. Quality readiness survey was conducted to investigate $\ulcorner$organizational environment variables$\lrcorner$ and $\ulcorner$work behavior variables$\lrcorner$ on 225 dietitians working in dietary departments of 45 general hospitals which had more than 400 beds. $\ulcorner$Organizational environment variables$\lrcorner$ were categorized into four variable group:'organizational work design', 'organizational culture', 'department head leadership' and 'top management leadership'. $\ulcorner$Work behavior variables$\lrcorner$ were categorized into three variable group: 'individual behavior', 'peer group behavior', and 'behavior toward supervisor'. Top management leadership (p< 0.01)' in the $\ulcorner$organizational environment variables$\lrcorner$ had significant impacts on the factual quality of hospital dietary services.

국내 기업의 인트라넷 수용특성에 관한 실증적 연구 (An Empirical Study on Factors Influencing the Acceptance of Intranet in Korean Companies)

  • Individual adoption and sustained usage of information technology(IT) are crucial prerequisites for exploiting IT as integral components of organizational work. Previous studies on technology adoption in workplace suggest that acceptance behavior is influenced by a variety of factors such as individual differences, social influences, beliefs, attitudes, and situational influences. In this paper, we introduce a research model to predict the usage behavior of intranet in workplace and also explain the causal relationships among variables. Based on the survey of 333 intranet users, this study uses structural equation model with LISREL 8.12. This study suggests several major results from surveys and analysis from them. Perceived use is influenced by intranet experience, task equivocality, organizational support, and perceived ease of use, Experience and organizational support determine perceived ease of use. Task equivocality, task interdependence, and organizational support have positive effects on subjective norm. On the other hand, present usage, which is a dependent variable in this model, is influenced by perceived use, experience, task interdependence, and organizational support.

The Effect of manager's Communication Type on Organizational Culture and Innovative Behavior

  • This study confirmed the effect of manager's communication type perceived by organizational members on innovative behavior and the mediating effect of organizational culture. In other words, the manager's communication type was statistically positive for organizational members' innovation behavior (Hypothesis 1) and organizational culture (Hypothesis 2). Organizational culture improved innovative behavior of organizational members (Hypothesis 3). In addition, organizational culture played a mediating role between the manager's communication type and organizational members' innovative behavior (Hypothesis 4). In other words, the importance of improving the innovative behavior of organizational members, which is a key factor for advancing organizational sustainability management, was confirmed. It was confirmed that the manager's communication type and organizational culture act as a key factor for the advancement of innovative behavior. Therefore, executives and managers confirmed the importance of systematic managers' communication-type competency development and organizational culture revitalization plans and the necessity of implementing them in order to improve innovative behavior.
