In this paper, we have designed the integrated wire and wireless P2P framework using mobile agents to share efficiently resources as media file. Most of the P2P applications are used on the wire network. We propose the integrated wire and wireless P2P framework. Proposed P2P platform is based on JXTA of Sun Microsystems. But JXTA is pure peer-to-peer network model, so it sends message other peers as broadcast style to request resources. In this way, there are some problems as massage overload, bandwidth loss, etc. In order to solve this problem, we propose a hybrid peer-to-peer network model using mobile agent. Proposed scheme also solve existing hybrid pEp model's flaws which have the delay and low rate due to concentrated server. In proposed scheme, mobile agents that have autonomy and mobility are used to search the location of resources. Besides, mobile agents could solve the loss problem of the search result. To improve P2P QoS(Quality of Service), we could monitor peer's state information using PIP(Peer Information Protocol) of JXTA.

This paper presents a P2P (Peer-to-Peer) overlay multicast tree construction algorithm to support stable multimedia service over the Internet. While constructing a multicast tree, it takes into account not only the link delay, but also peer stability. Since peers actually show dynamic and unstable behavior over P2P-based network, it is essential to consider peer stability. Furthermore, the weighting factor between link delay and peer stability is adaptively controlled according to the characteristics of the multicast tree. Basically, Genetic algorithm is employed to obtain a near optimal solution with low computational complexity. Finally, simulation results are provided to show the performance of the proposed algorithm.

The hybrid architecture of content delivery networks (CDN) and peer-to-peer overlay networks (P2P) is a promising technology enables effective real-time streaming services. It complements the advantages of quality control and reliability in a CDN, and the scalability of a P2P system. With real-time streaming services, however, high connection setup and media delivery latency are becoming the critical issues in deploying the CDN-P2P system. These issues result from biased peer selection without location awareness or content awareness, and can lead to significant service disruption. To reduce service disruption latency, we propose a group-based CDN-P2P hybrid architecture (iCDN-P2P) with a location/content-aware selection of peers. Specifically, a SuperPeer network makes a location-aware peer selection by employing a content addressable network (CAN) to distribute channel information. It also manages peers with content awareness, forming a group of peers with the same channel as the sub-overlay. Through a performance evaluation, we show that the proposed architecture outperforms the original CDN-P2P hybrid architecture in terms of connection setup delay and media delivery time.
P2P network environments provide users with direct data transmission and sharing facilities and those environments can be classified into hybrid P2P network environments and pure P2P network environments according to the arbitration mechanism among the peers in the network. In hybrid P2P network environments, there exists a server that maintains index information for the data to be shared and network isolation does not occur because every peer always keeps connection to the server. In pure P2P network environments, however, each peer directly connects to another peer and gets services without server intervention, and so, network isolation can occur when the mediating peer fails to work. In this paper. we propose a scheme for each peer to keep connection to other peers continuously by maintaining IP addresses of its neighbor peers and connecting to the peers when the mediating peer fails to work. Although the P2P application that uses our proposed framework should obtain one or more IP addresses of the neighbor peers manually, after instantiation, the application can do its job while maintaining connection to the network continuously and automatically. To evaluate our proposed scheme, we measured and analyzed the time for a peer to reconnect to the network when the mediating peer fails and the network isolation occurs.

In this paper, we propose a P2P based IPTV system using a multiple chain architecture. Proposed system is robust to the peer churn. As opposed to the internet the IPTV network managed by a single ISP has fewer bandwidth constraints and end-to-end connectivity. So, we emphasize preferentially robustness of a P2P network in IPTV environment. A single chain structure which was proposed previously emphasizes simplicity, however there exists considerable delay time at the end part of peers as the number of peers increasing. As a solution to the problem, we propose the scheme which seperates the chain into several levels and again divides each level into spans to diminish a delay time. Though the chain is separated into level and span, basic structure of proposed scheme is still a chain structure. So the scheme simplifies the recovery procedure caused by join or departure of peers. We will show the improved performance of proposed scheme rather than single chain structure with respect to the delay time and reliability.

Client requests have increased with the improvement of network resources at client side, whereas network resources at server side could not keep pace with the increased client request. Therefore, it is primary factor of the Qos that efficiently utilize network resources at server side. In this paper, we proposed a new model that peer-to-peer transfer scheme for partial multimedia stream based on CIWP which it decrease server network bandwidth by utilizing client disk resources saves additional server network resources. Especially, adapting Threshold_Based Multicast scheme guarantees to do that data transfer within clients never exceed service time of previous peer by restriction of which data size transferring from previous peer less than data size transferring from server. Peer-to-peer transfer within clients is limited in same group classified as ISPs. Our analytical result shows that proposed scheme reduces appling network resources at server side as utilizing additional client disk resource. furthermore, we perform various simulation study demonstrating the performance gain through comparing delay time and proportion of waiting requesters. As a result, when we compared to Threshold_Based Multicast scheme, the proposed scheme reduces server network bandwidth by 35%.
In this paper, we propose efficient peer assignment algorithms for low-latency transmission of scalable coded images in peer-to-peer networks, in which peers may dynamically join and leave the networks. The objective of our algorithm is to minimize the transmission time of a requested image that is scalable coded. When an image is scalable coded in different bit rates, the bit stream encoded in a lower bit rate is a prefix subset of the one encoded in a higher bit rate. Therefore, a peer with the same requested image coded in any bit rate, even when it is different from the requested rate, may work as a supplying peer. As a result, when a scalable coded image is requested, more supplying peers can be found in peer-to-peer networks to help with the transfer. However, the set of supplying peers is not static during transmission, as the peers in this set may leave the network or finish their transmission at different times. The proposed peer assignment algorithms have taken into account the above constraints. In this paper, we first prove the existence of an optimal peer assignment solution for a simple identity permutation function, and then formulate peer assignment with this identity permutation as a mixed-integer programming problem. Next, we discuss how to address the problem of dynamic peer departures during image transmission. Finally, we carry out experiments to evaluate the performance of proposed peer assignment algorithms.
The peer-to-peer (P2P) systems have Brown significantly over last few years due to their hish potential of sharing various resources. Super-peer based P2P systems have been found very effective by dividing the peers into two layers, SP (Super-Peer) and OP (Ordinary-Peer). In this paper, we present ISP2P (Intelligent Super-peer based P2P system), which allows us to choose the best SP. Through analyzing capacity and similarity between SP and OP, we can help OPs to select the most appropriate SP respectively. Proposed system can improve the performance of the average response time by superior SP, reduce the bandwidth cost by small path length due to content similarity and solve frequent SP replacement problem by considering similarity of user behavior.
According to the arbitration mechanism among the peers in the network, the P2P networking environments can be classified into hybrid P2P networking environments and pure P2P networking environments. In hybrid P2P networking environments, each peer gets continual services from the servers that arc operational most of the time, and so, network isolation does not occur because every peer can always keep connection to the server. In pure P2P networking environments, however, every peer directly connects to another peer without server intervention, and so, network isolation can occur when the per mediating the connection is terminated. In this paper, we propose a scheme for each peer to keep connection information of other peers by maintaining IDs of its neighbor peers, to reconnect to another peers when the mediating peer fails to work. and, for efficiency. to balance the number of connections that should be maintained by each peer. With our mechanism, each pier in the network can continuously maintain connection to the network and get seamless services from other peers. Through the simulation, we ascer-tained that network isolation does not occur in the pure P2P network adopting our mechanism and that our mechanism distributes and balances the connections that are maintained by each peer. We also analyzed the total network traffic and the mean number of hops for the connections made by each peer according to the recommended number of connections that is established at system setup time.
The objective of this paper describes the design of MapReduce over Peer-to-Peer network for dynamic environments applications. MapReduce is a software framework used for Cloud Computing which processing large data sets in a highly-parallel way. Based on the Peer-to-Peer network character which node failures will happen anytime, we focus on using a DHT routing protocol which named Pastry to handle the problem of node failures. Our results are very promising and indicate that the framework could have a wide application in P2P network systems while maintaining good computational efficiency and scalability. We believe that, P2P networks and parallel computing emerge as very hot research and development topics in industry and academia for many years to come.
