This study was designed and undertaken to identify the degree of burden and depression in family caregivers of patients with stroke and to determine whether burden was directly related to depression. The data were collected from October 23th to November 20th, 1995. The subjects in this study were 80 caregivers, that is, one family member and 80 patients with stroke who were hospitalized in one oriental medicine hospital located in Taejon City. The questionnaires consisted of questions regarding burden(13 item, 6 point scale) and depression(20 item, 4 point scale). Data were analyzed using percentages, means, t-test, ANOVA and Peason-correlation coefficients, done with the SAS program. The results of this study are as follows : 1. The score for family caregiver's burden was higher than the mid level for the 13 items. 2. The score for of family caregiver's depression was relatively low. 3. The relationship between burden and depression showed a significant inverse correlation. 4. In the relationships between total burden and general characteristics of the family caregivers : there were no significant differences. But, in the relationship between objective burden and general characteristics of the family caregivers ; age and education had statistically significant differences. That is, the 40's group felt more objective burden than any other age group and the high education group more than the illiterate group. 5. In the relationship between depression and general characteristics of the family caregivers ; sex, education and monthly income had statistically significant differences. That is, female caregivers felt more depression than males, and the lower the level of education and the lower the monthly income, the higher the degree of depression. 6. In the relationships between burden and general charateristics of the stroke patients, only subjective burden according to the patients' sex was significantly different. That is, caregivers felt more subjective burden when caring for male patients than for female patients. 7. In the relationships between depression and general charateristics of the stroke patients, only the patients' economic status showed a statistically significant difference. That is, caregivers felt more depression in case of patients' low economic status.

This study was designed and undertaken to analyse the factors associated with sexual satisfaction in diabetic patients. The data were collected from September to November, 1997. The subjects in this study were 77 diabetic patients who visited to check their blood glucose level to the outpatient department of internal medicine in one of hospitals located in Taejon city, The questionnaires developed by Derogatis L. R. were used. Data were analysed using percentages, means, 1-test, ANOVA and Peason-correlation coefficients, done with the SAS program. The results of this study were as follows ; 1. The mean score of sexual satisfaction in diabetic patients was higher than the mid level as 3.14 points in the 5 points scale and male patients' score was a little higher than female's. 2. The mean score of factors associated with sexual life was 3.54 points in spouses' support, 3.44 points in sexual attitude and 2.60 points in body image in the 5 points scale, and 2.76 points in the sexual act in the 6 points scale. The score of above all factors were higher in male patients than female patients. 3. The significant factors associated with sexual satisfaction were spouses' support, body image and sexual act. That is, the higher spouses' support, the more positive body image and the more frequent sexual act, the higher patients' sexual satisfaction. 4. In the relationships between the sexual satisfaction and the general characteristics of the diabetic patients, only religion and the period of disease were statistically significant differents, but the relationships between the sexual satisfaction and the period of disease showed a significant inverse correlation. This results showed that the degree of sexual satisfaction in diabetic patients was relatively high. The major factors associated with sexual satisfaction were spouses' support, body image and sexual act, religion and the period of disease. So, the above factors have to be considered during the nursing intervention on diabetic patients' sexual life.
In this paper we present an improved method by using demographic information for overcoming the similarity miss-calculation from the sparsity problem in collaborative filtering recommendation systems. The similarity between a pair of users is only determined by the ratings given to co-rated items, so items that have not been rated by both users are ignored. To solve this problem, we add virtual neighbor's rating using demographic information of neighbors for improving prediction accuracy. It is one kind of extentions of traditional collaborative filtering methods using the peason correlation coefficient. We used the Grouplens movie rating data in experiment and we have compared the proposed method with the collaborative filtering methods by the mean absolute error and receive operating characteristic values. The results show that the proposed method is more efficient than the collaborative filtering methods using the pearson correlation coefficient about 9% in MAE and 13% in sensitivity of ROC.

The purpose of this study is to provided a basic administrative data for effective personnel management of nurses' by investigation their assessment and satisfaction with the job rotation and by analyzing the relation between their satisfaction and organizational commitment. Data were collected from Nov. 20 to Nov. 25, 2000 through self-reporting questionnaires taken by 280 nurses working at a university hospitals The 3 structured instruments were used for collecting the data; Questionnaires for measuring the utility and the problem of job rotation, Questionaires for measuring the satisfaction with the job rotation, and Mowday's Organizational Commitment Questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed using frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, range, Cronbach's alpha coefficients, Peason's correlation coefficients, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and chi-square test, multiple regression. The Results were as follows : 1. The supporters for regular job rotation account for 67% while the opponents to it account for 33%. The chief reason for endorsing the regular job rotation is quoted ${\lceil}$to attain more diverse job experiences${\rfloor}$, followed in order by ${\lceil}$to improve the job motivation and morale through the realization of personal needs${\rfloor}$, ${\lceil}$to place the right man in the right position${\rfloor}$. The reasons for opposing to the regular job rotation were listed in order ${\lceil}$difficulties to secure the expertise of nursing${\rfloor}$, ${\lceil}$personal needs not fully reflected in the job rotation${\rfloor}$, ${\lceil}$job rotations prompted rather by the administrative needs than by personal aptitude and ability${\rfloor}$. 2. In the assessment of job rotation, the points affirming the utility of the job rotation are $2.60({\pm}.66)$ out of possible 5 points and those admitting the problems the job rotation are $3.58({\pm}.59)$. The satisfaction with the job rotation is rated at $2.98({\pm}.55)$. 3. In the analysis into the relation between the assessment of job rotation and satisfaction with the job rotation, fairly high positive correlation is revealed between the satisfaction and utility of job rotation, whereas, considerably high negative correlation is seen between the satisfaction and problems with the job rotation(p=.000). 4. There is relatively high positive correlation between the satisfaction with the job rotation and organizational commitment(p=.000). In conclusion, the utility of on the job rotation and their satisfaction with the job rotation have positive correlation and the satisfaction with the job rotation and organizational commitment showed the positive correlation, too. Therefore, it is thought desirable to take administrative strategies well as education to improve the recognition of the job rotation's utility and to reduce the recognition of the problems with the job rotation to remain in the direction toward contributing to enhancement of the organizational commitment.
This descriptive-correlational study was undertaken in order to examine if there was relationship between health locus of control and health behavior of 122 residents in Choong Nam Province. The sampling method was non-probability, conventent sampling technique. Questionnaire survey was conducted from March 2 to March 11, 1988. Each participant completed the Multidimensional Health Locus of control(MHLC) scale (Wallsten & Wallston, 1978) and Health Behavior scale (developed by Dr. cho) The collected data were analyzed using Peason Correlation coefficient, t-test and Analusis of Variance. The results were as follows : 1. Hypothesis 1, stating that the higer the score of internal health locus of control, the higher the Score of level of actual implementation of health behavior was supported(r=.1344, p<.05). 2. Hypothesis 2, stating that the higher the score of chance health locus of control, the lower the score of level of actual implementation of health behavior was not supported (r=-.1344, p>.05). 3. Hypothesis 3, stating that the higher the score of internal health locus of control, the higher the score of the level of perceived importance of health behavior was supported (r=.3373, p<.001). 4. Hypothesis 4, stating that the higher the score of chance health locus of control, the lower the score of level of perceived importance of health behavior was not supported (r=-.0810, p>.05). 5. The mean score of internal was 23.36, powerful others was 19.04 and chance 15.36 out of maximum range of 6-30 respectively. The mean score of level of actual implementation of health behavior was 112.84 and level of perceived importance of health behavior 143.60 our of maximum range of 32-160 respectively. 6. The variances which were related with the level of actual implementation of health behavior, were education level, occupation, economic status, referred method of primary health, management and resicent's place. And the variance which were related with the level of perceived importance of health behavior were sex, economic status and occupation.

The spatio-temporal abundance pattern of algae in Lake Paldang from 2002 to 2004 was investigated. The concentration of chlorophyll a representing algal biomass had fluctuated intensively throughout the year. Among three years, the highest algal biomass was shown in 2002, and typical growth peak of concentration of chlorophyll a was occurred in spring and autumn. There had been frequent rainfall in spring drought period in 2003 and it resulted in the decrease of the algal biomass. The distribution pattern of four algal groups on the surface water of Lake Paldang showed different abundance by season and by water area. In particular, different algal growth characteristics by water areas were observed. Influences of various environmental parameters on algal abundance in four water areas of Lake Paldang were analyzed statistically. From the results of Peason correlation analysis, it was understood that the kinds and affects of environmental parameters were different according to water areas and seasons. Based on the factors analysis of environmental parameters on the concentration of chlorophyll a, stepwise regression models whose independent variables were the factors produced by factor analysis and dependent variable was the concentration of chlorophyll a were derived by water areas and seasons. As a whole, factors related with organics and photosynthesis were revealed to have high affects to algal abundance, whereas limiting nutrients such as phosphorus and nitrogen showed little affect in Lake Paldang.
The purposes of this study were to examine the relationships among health promoting lifestyle, stress. depression, and general characteristics and to reveal these variables affecting depression in college female students. The data were collected between November 29th and December 4th. 1999 by using self-administered questionnaire. Data analysis were conducted by using Peason's correlation. t-test, ANOVA. stepwise multiple regression. The results were as follows : 1. Health promoting lifestyle was significantly different by religion, smoking. school record, perceived health status. satisfaction of school life, and department. 2. The mean score of stress was 2.28. the level of stress showed significant differences according to economic status, perceived health status, and satisfaction of school life. 3. The mean score of depression was 12.05. the level of depression showed significant differences according to religion, smoking, school record, economic status. perceived health status, satisfaction. of school life, and department. 4. The mean score of health promoting lifestyle was 2.43. both interpersonal relationship(M=2.96) and self-actualization(M=2.79) of the subscales of health promoting lifestyle revealed high scores, whereas the scores of health responsibility(M=2.07), and exercise (M=1.64) were below. 5. Negative correlations were observed between health promoting lifestyle and stress(r=-.21), between heath promoting lifestyle and depression(r=-38). Positive correlations were observed between stress and depression(r= .60). 6. Negative correlations were observed between self-actualization(r=-.29). nutrition Cr=-.17), and stress management(r=-.17) domains of health promoting lifestyle and stress. 7. Negative correlations were observed between self-actualization(r=-.47), nutrition (r=-.31), stress management(r=-.25), interpersonal relationship(r=-.23), health responsibility(r=-.13), and exercise(r=-.l1) domains of health promoting lifestyle and depression. 8. Depression was significantly predicted by stress$(36.2\%)$, health promoting lifestyle $(7.0\%)$. these variables explained $43.2\%$ of variance of depression.
