This paper reports the results of descriptive research aimed at determining the effects of the administrative hospital staff members' organization-based self-esteem and work engagement on their organizational citizenship behaviors. The participants of the study were 200 administrative staff members of general hospitals, each with 200 beds or more, located in B city. Data were collected from March 15 to 30, 2017, and analyzed statistically using a t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. The findings of this study can be summarized as follows. The organizational citizenship behaviors differed significantly according to whether they had an experience of turnover (t=-4.260, p=.000) and how long they had served at their present work (t=3.297, p=.039). In addition, the organizational citizenship behaviors had strong positive correlations with the organization-based self-esteem (r=.454, p=<.000) and work engagement (r=.595, p<.000). In addition, the factor that explained the organizational citizenship behaviors most significantly was work engagement, followed by organization-based self-esteem and the period of service at the present work. All three factors accounted for 41% of those behaviors. These findings suggest that the hospital should perform internal marketing or improve its welfare system to make administrative staff members raise their self-esteem based on their organization. Moreover, the hospital should form an organizational culture of its own, in which administrative staff members feel the importance of their job, enjoy it and are given autonomy in job performance, ultimately contributing to the development of hospital management.

The purpose of this descriptive research study was to identify the effects on job satisfaction of nurses working at comprehensive nursing care service units. The study was conducted in five hospitals, two of 250 beds or more in three cities and three of 800 beds. The study subjects were nurses working at comprehensive nursing care service units. A structured questionnaire of 150 questions was distributed to them and 146 were collected. The data collection period was from August 1, 2019 to November 15, 2019. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS 22.0 program, using x2-test, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and multiple linear regression. Emotional labor and toughness were negatively correlated (r=-.20, p=.018), and emotional labor and job satisfaction were positively correlated (r=.25, p=.004). The predictive variables affecting the job satisfaction of the subjects were the aptitude of the ward service (β=-.35, p=<.001) and hardness(β=.21, p=.009). The explanation of job satisfaction in the variables was 18.2% (F=3.54, p=.009). The study results revealed that the predictive variables affecting job satisfaction were the hardiness and aptitude of the ward service. Therefore, in order to increase the job satisfaction of ward nurses, it is necessary to provide administrative support to control the hardiness of the nurse and to allocate manpower in consideration of the aptitude in the hospital personnel system.

This study's objects are to suggest effective forest community-level management measures by identifying the vulnerable forest vegetation communities types to climate change through a comparative analysis with present forest communities identified and delineated in the Actual Vegetation Map. The methods of this study are to classify the climatic life zones based on the correlative climate-vegetation relationship for each forest vegetation community, the Holdridge Bio-Climate Model was employed. This study confirms relationship between forest vegetation and environmental factors using Pearson's correlation coefficient analysis. Then, the future distribution of forest vegetation are predicted derived factors and present distribution of vegetation by utilizing the multinomial logit model. The vulnerability of forest to climate change was evaluated by identifying the forest community shifts slower than the average velocity of forest moving (VFM) for woody plants, which is assumed to be 0.25 kilometers per year. The major findings in this study are as follows : First, the result of correlative analysis shows that summer precipitation, mean temperature of the coldest month, elevation, soil organic matter contents, and soil acidity (pH) are highly influencing factors to the distribution of forest vegetation. Secondly, the result of the vulnerability assessment employing the assumed velocity of forest moving for woody plants (0.25kmjyear) shows that 54.82% of the forest turned out to be vulnerable to climate change. The sub-alpine vegetations in regions around Mount Jiri and Mount Seorak are predicted to shift the dominance toward Quercus mongolica and Pinus densiflora communities. In the identified vulnerable areas centering the southern and eastern coastal regions, about 8.27% of the Pinus densiflora communities is likely to shift to sub-tropical forest communities, and 3.38% of the Quercus mongolica communities is likely to shift toward Quercus acutissima communities. In the vulnerable areas scattered throughout the country, about 8.84% of the Quercus mongolica communities is likely to shift toward Pinus densiflora communities due to the effects of climate change. The study findings concluded that challenges associated with predicting the future climate using RCM and the assessment of the future vulnerabilities of forest vegetations to climate change are significant.

In the present study, the wave hindcasting has been performed, and then the characteristics of storm waves at Gangnueng port was investigated, in which the high waves are observed. Comparing the numerical results with the wave measurements at Gangneung port, Niigata, and Hamada, there were good agreements between them. In particular, the Pearson correlation coefficients of significant wave heights and peak periods at Gangneung port were 0.92 and 0.72, respectively. Then the extreme wave analysis on the significant wave heights was carried out for the estimation of the frequency of storm waves. In this analysis, the storm waves over the threshold were fitted to GPD(Generalized Pareto Distribution). According to this analysis, the return period of the storm wave on February, 24, 2008, one of the large storm waves at Gangneung port, was 8.2 months. Among the computed significant wave heights larger than one-year wave, 58.3% of them were resulted from the storm, while the others were from the typhoon. Additionally, the regression analysis on the waves larger than one-month wave has been conducted, and then the relationship between the computed significant wave heights and the significant wave period, $T_{1/3}=7H_s^{0.25}$ was obtained.
The study was conducted to identify the perception of patient-safety and the level of safety care activity among nurses in small-medium sized general hospitals. Data were collected at three hospitals among 344 nurses on April 2012 and administered questionnaire regarding the perception of patient-safety and safety-care-activity. Data analyzed by using descriptive statistics, inferential statistics was used to determine comparison, correlation and association (Pearson correlation, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, multiple regression). The results revealed that there were significant differences in the level of perception of patient-safety according to the nurses' career, time of work, and work department in their hospitals. And also there were significant differences in the level of safety-care-activity according to the nurses' age, position, marriage, the nurses' career, time of work in their hospitals. Nurses with higher perceived level of patient-safety performed more safety-care-activities. The findings of the study suggests that in order to improve the nurse's perceived level of patient-safety and safety-careactivities, the hospitals need to establish the policies that support patient-safety, improvement the environmental system, proper working atmosphere to ensure appropriate work time, regulation nurse-patient ratio are also required.

The purposes of this study are to explore Iceberg(IB) model as a systems thinking analysis tool for high school students, suggest a systems thinking analysis method using rubrics and verify its validity and reliability. For this study, the theoretical basis was examined through literature analysis about IB model and rubrics of evaluating the systems thinking. And 6 high school students participated in IB model activity and were interviewed about polar climate change. In addition, quantitative tests using systems thinking scale were also conducted to support the results of the IB model activity analysis. Data obtained from IB model activity was analyzed by using the rubrics of evaluating system thinking developed by Hung (2008). The analysis results were reviewed by two professors to confirm the validity and reliability. In order to confirm the validity, correlation analysis were performed between the rubrics and the quantitative test results. Finding are as follows: Six students used the IB model to express their systems thinking in detail and the results of the systems thinking analysis of students using rubrics showed a distribution of 17~35 points. Furthermore, the results of correlation analysis between rubrics and systems thinking scale was highly correlated (Pearson product-moment is .856) on significance level from .05. Using the IB model introduced in this study, students express their systems thinking effectively and the results of the systems thinking analysis using IB model is considered to analyze validity and reliability. Based on the results of this study, implication suggests how to study the systems thinking in science education.
In this study, the water quality parameters of Geum-river were estimated using Landsat 8 satellite image data which had launched in March 2013. The goal of this research is to predict HAB and to monitor spatial pattern of total nitrogen (TN) and total phosphorus (TP) because both TN and TP are the dominant factors of the growth of harmful algal blooms (HABs). To investigate the relationship between satellite band reflectance and in situ measurement value, Pearson' correlation coefficient analysis was used. The band2, 3, 4 and 5 reflectance values among 11 bands of Landsat 8 were used which was highly associated with detecting TN and TP. The 20 in situ data set with satellite's overpass time were identified. TN showed positive relation with band 2 (0.48), band3 (0.62), band4 (0.57) at a significance level of p<0.05. TP also showed high correlation for band2 (0.59), band3 (0.59), band4 (0.58) at a significance level of p<0.01. The optimal regression equation models were constructed for TN and TP based on multiple regression equations. The estimated concentration based on derived regression equations of TN and TP were compared with in situ measurement data. Finally, the spatial pattern of the two parameters was able be monitored through mapping on November 12, 2013 and April 21, 2014.

Thirteen female patients of somatization disorder, undifferentiated somatoform disorder and somatoform disorder, NOS, diagnosed by DSM-IV were studied for their pain threshold and serum testosterone and the results were compared with the respective data of 20 control females. The results are as follows : 1) The pain threshold as measured by Variable Weight Pressure Algometer was significantly lower in the patient group(153.8${\pm}$39.5 gm/$0.05mm^2$) as compared to the control group(197.5${\pm}$66.7 gm/$0.05mm^2$)(p<0.05). 2) There was no significant difference of serum testosterone between the patient(0.175${\pm}$0.081 ng/ml) and the control(0.174${\pm}$0.108 ng/ml) groups. 3) A significant positive correlation was noted between the pain threshold and serum testosterone in the patient group(r=0.632, p<0.05, two tailed, Pearson's correlation test), but not in the normal control group(r= -0.405). From these results, it was suggested that the role of testosterone in endogenous pain control system might be more important in somatoform disorders than normals.

This is a descriptive study to identify relationships of fatigue to job satisfaction and turnover intention among clinical nurses. The subjects were 162 clinical nurses at 2 small and medium-sized hospitals in K and B cities. The data were collected from February 1st throughout 28th, 2013. The collected data were analyzed using the SAS program through $x^2$-test, t-test, ANOVA, Scheff$\acute{e}$ test, and Pearson's correlation coefficients. There was a negative correlation between high fatigue level and job satisfaction and colleagues of its subgroups (r=-0.29, p=.0214; r=-0.29, p=.0239), positive correlation it and turnover intention(r=0.33, p=.0089). Also there was a negative correlation between promotion and overall job satisfaction subgroup of job satisfaction and turnover intention(r=-0.17, p=.0268; r=-0.19, p=.0144). Therefore nurse managers are in need of applying the organizational management system which is considered the relationship with my colleagues at work, promotion and overall job satisfaction etc. to prevent and decrease fatigue induced factors and turnover intentions.
In male reproducible health, fertility and IVF (in-vitro fertilization), semen analysis has been most important. Semen analysis can be divided into concentration, motional and morphological analysis of sperm. The existing method which was developed earlier to analyze semen concentrated on the sperm motility analysis. To provide more useful and precise solutions for clinical problems such as infertility, semen analysis must include sperm morphological analysis. But the traditional tools for semen analysis are subjective, imprecise, inaccurate, difficult to standardize, and difficult to reproduce. Therefore, with the help of development of microcomputers and image processing techniques, we developed a new sperm morphology analyzer to overcome these problems. In this study the agreement on percent normal morphology was studied between different observers and a computerized sperm morphology analyzer on a slide-by-slide basis using strict criteria. Slides from 30 different patients from the SNUH andrology laboratory were selected randomly. Microscopic fields and sperm cells were chosen randomly and percent normal morphology was recorded. The ability of sperm morphology analyzer to repeat the same reading for normal and abnormal cells was studied. The results showed that there was no significant bias between two experienced observers. The limits of agreement were 4.1%${\sim}$-3.8%. The Pearson correlation coefficient between readers was 0.79. Between the manual and sperm morphology analyzer, the same findings were reported. In this experiments the slides were stained by two different methods, PAP and Diff-Quik staining methods. The limits of agreement were 7.2%${\sim}$-5.7% and 6.0%${\sim}$-6.3%, respectively. The Pearson correlation coefficients ware 0.76 and 0.91, respectively. The limits of agreement was tighter below 20% normal forms. In the experiments of repeatability, 52 cells stained by PAP and Diff-Quik staining methods were analyzed three times in succession. Estimating pairwise agreement, the kappa statistic for the pairs were 0.76, 0.81, 0.86, and 0.75, 0.88, 0.88 respectively. In this study it was shown that there was good agreement between manual and computerized assessment of normal and abnormal cells. The repeatability and agreement per slide of computerized sperm morphology analyzer was excellent. The computer's ability to classify normal morphology per slide is promising. Based on results obtained, this system can be of clinical value both in andrology laboratories and IVF units.
