3차원 인체형상자료를 활용한 토르소 마스터패턴 개발 - 30대 바른 체형 여성을 대상으로 - (A study of Developing Torso Master Pattern Using 3D body Measurement Data - Focusing on Women in their thirties proper Body Types -)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a torso pattern that is highly representative for the proper body shape of women in their thirties. Size data of the women with age of 30 through 39 from the database of Size Korea 2004 were used for the study. In order to develop a master pattern which will be used as the benchmark for grading of research group, 4 existing torso block drafting methods were compared based on the data gathered and the block with the highest evaluation score was utilized as a reference point. For the analysis, data was divided into four types, only the data of 138 subjects which were evaluated at least by four or more experts as valid were used for the study. The major results can be summarized as follow. The women of bust girth of 91cm and height of 160cm which was turned out to be representative type of research group were used as standard measurement for the purpose of reflecting not only curve length of the 3D analysis measurement but also the difference between front and back thickness to the pattern. Dart locations were set based on front and back torso ease, shoulder area revisions, front sagging length 1.5cm and cross section crevice length analysis. According to the experts' appearance evaluation of the pattern was found to be better than the control pattern which was regarded as the best among 4 patterns created based on existing torso block drafting methods.

20대 성인 남성 상반신앞판현상의 평면 전개를 위한 표준화 연구 (The Standardization of Developing Method of 3-D Upper Front Shell of Men in Twenties)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose a standard of converting 3D shape of men in twenties to 2D patterns. This can be a basis for scientific and automatic pattern making for high quality custom clothes. Firstly, representative 3D body shape of men was modeled. Then the 3D model was divided into 3 shells, front, side and back. Among them, the front shell was divided into 4 blocks by bust line and princess line. Secondly, curves are generated on each block according to matrix combination by grid method. Then triangles were developed into 2D pieces by reflecting the 3D curve length. The grid was arranged to maintain outer curve length. Next, the area of developed pieces and block were calculated and difference ratio between the block area and the developed pieces' area is calculated. Also, area difference ratio by the number of triangles is calculated. The difference ratio was represented as graphs and optimal section is selected by the shape of graphs. The optimal matrix was set considering connection with other blocks. Curves of torso upper front shell were regenerated by the optimal matrix and developed into pieces. We validated it's suitability by comparing difference ratio between the block area and the developed pieces' area of optimal section. The results showed that there was no significant difference between block area and the pieces' area developed by optimal matrix. The optimal matrix for 2D developing could be characterized as two types according to block's shape characteristics, one is affected by triangle number, the other is affected by number of raws more than columns. Through this study, both the 2D pattern developing from 3D body shape and 3D modeling from 2D pattern is possible, so it's standardization also possible.

Membership Wholesale Club에서의 RRP 적재패턴 및 블록패턴 표준규격에 관한 연구 (RRP Loading Patterns and Standard Dimensions for Block Pattern in Membership Wholesale Clubs)

  • Purpose - This study analyzes loading efficiency by loading pattern for package standardization and reduction of logistics costs, along with the creation of revenue for the revenue review panel (RRP) of Membership Wholesale Clubs (MWC). The study aims to identify standard dimensions that can help improve the compatibility of the pallets related to display patterns preferred by the MWC and thereby explore ways to enhance logistics efficiency between manufacturers and retailers through standardization. Research design, data, and methodology - The study investigates and analyzes the current status based on actual case examples, i.e., manufacturer A and Korea's MWC (A company, B company, and C company), and thus devises improvement measures. To achieve this, the case of manufacturer A delivering to MWC was examined, and the actual pallet display patterns for each MWC were investigated by visiting each distribution site. In this study, TOPS (Total Optimization Packaging Software, USA) was used as the tool for pallet loading efficiency simulations the maximum allowable dimension was set to 0.0mm to prevent the pallet from falling outside the parameters, and the loading efficiency was analyzed with the pallet area. In other words, the study focused on dimensions (length x width x height) according to the research purpose and thereby deduced results. Results - The analysis of pallet loading patterns showed that the most preferred loading patterns for loading efficiency according to product specification, such as pinwheel, brick, and block patterns, were used in the case of the general distribution products, but the products were configured with block patterns in most cases when delivered to MWCs. The loading efficiency by loading pattern was analyzed with respect to 104 nationally listed standard dimensions. Meanwhile, No.51 (330 × 220mm) of KS T 1002 (1,100 × 1,100mm) was found to be the dimension that could bring about an improved loading efficiency, over 90.0% simultaneously in both the T-11 and T-12 pallet systems in a loading pattern configuration with the block pattern only, and the loading efficiency simulation results also confirmed this as the standard dimension that can be commonly applied to both the T-11 pallet (90.0%) and the T-12 pallet (90.7%) systems. Conclusions - The loading efficiency simulation results by loading pattern were analyzed: For the T-11 pallet system, 17 standard dimension sizes displayed the loading efficiency of 90.0% or more as block patterns, and the loading capacity was an average of 99.0%. For the T-12 pallet system, 35 standard dimension sizes displayed the loading efficiency of more than 90% as block patterns (the average loading efficiency of 98.6%). Accordingly, this study proposes that the standard dimensions of 17 sizes with the average loading efficiency of 99.0% should be applied in the use of the T-11 pallet system, and those of 35 sizes with the average loading efficiency of 98.6% should be reviewed and applied in the use of the T-12 pallet system.

Adaboost와 깊이 맵 기반의 블록 순위 패턴의 템플릿 매칭을 이용한 얼굴검출 (Face Detection Using Adaboost and Template Matching of Depth Map based Block Rank Patterns)

  • 흑백 혹은 컬러 영상과 같은 2차원 정보를 사용한 얼굴 검출 알고리즘에 관한 연구가 수십 년 동안 이루어져 왔다. 최근에는 저가 range 센서가 개발되어, 이를 통해 3차원 정보 (깊이 정보: 카메라와 물체사이의 거리를 나타냄)를 손쉽게 이용함으로써 얼굴의 특징을 높은 신뢰도로 추출하는 것이 가능해졌다. 대부분 사람 얼굴에는 3차원적인 얼굴의 구조적인 특징이 있다. 본 논문에서는 흑백 영상과 깊이 영상을 사용하여 얼굴을 검출하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 처음에는 흑백 영상에 adaboost를 적용하여 얼굴 후보 영역을 검출한다. 얼굴 후보 영역의 위치에 대응되는 깊이 영상에서의 얼굴 후보 영역을 추출한다. 추출된 영역의 크기를 $5{\times}5$ 영역으로 분할하여 깊이 값의 평균값을 구한다. 깊이 값들의 평균값들 간에 순위를 매김으로써 블록 순위 패턴이 생성된다. 얼굴 후보 영역의 블록 순위 패턴과 학습 데이터를 사용하여 미리 학습된 템플릿 패턴을 매칭함으로써 최종 얼굴 영역인지 아닌지를 판단할 수 있다. 제안하는 방법의 성능을 Kinect sensor로 취득한 실제 영상으로 실험하였다. 실험 결과 true positive를 잘 보존하면서 많은 false positive들을 효과적으로 제거하는 것을 보여준다.

이차원 블록 구조에 근거한 선인출 기법 (A Multimedia Data Prefetching Based on 2 Dimensional Block Structure)

  • 스트리밍 데이터를 다루는 멀티미디어 응용의 경우 캐시 관리 측면에서 데이터의 시간적 지역성이 약하여 캐시의 효율이 감소하게 된다. 이는 캐시에 적재된 데이터가 대부분 다시 사용되지 않고 바뀌게 됨을 의미한다. 반면에 이러한 데이터들은 참조 명령에 따른 규칙적인 접근 패턴을 갖고 있는 경우가 많다. 이 논문에서는 약한 시간적 지역성을 나타내는 멀티미디어 응용 데이터에서도 통상적으로 내재된 메모리 참조의 규칙성을 적극적으로 활용하기 위해 동적 등차 참조 선인출 기법의 기능과 함께 이차원 배열 형식(블록)을 찾을 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 블록 구조를 인식하고 이에 따라 선인출 주소를 계산 하므로 블록 참조 예측 기법 (BRPT: block-reference-prediction-technique)이라고 명한다. BRPT는 새로운 규칙으로 인해 선인출 기구가 더 복잡하지만 블록 패턴이 많은 응용의 경우 메모리 참조 시간을 크게 줄이는 것을 확인하였다.

마르코프 오류모델 하에서의 LAP 계열 프로토콜들의 전송성능과 반응시간에 대한 이산-시간 해석 (Discrete-Time Analysis of Throughput and Response Time for LAP Derivative Protocols under Markovian Block-Error Pattern)

  • 본 논문에서는 전송채널의 메모리 (전송오류가 발생하는 형태상의 통계적 상관관계) 특성이 현재 실제 널리 사용되고 있는 오류제어 프로토콜의 성능에 어느 정도 영향을 끼치는 가를 연구하고자 한다. 먼저 각 정보블록의 오류발생 형태는 전송오류가 발생하거나 하지 않는 두 가지 상태를 갖는 마르코프 오류모델을 따른다고 가정하고, 이 모델을 다중-거부 옵션을 가진 실제적인 LAP 계열 프로토콜들, 즉 LAPB/D/M 절차들에 적용하여 전송성능과 반응시간에 대한 이산-시간 해석을 행한다. 수치해석을 통해 마르코프 오류모델 하에서 분석된 실제적인 LAP 계열 프로토콜의 전송성능과 전송지연 특성이 일반적으로 가정되는 상호독립적 오류모델을 사용한 결과보다 개선된다는 점을 관찰하고 오류제어 프로토콜의 정확한 성능분석을 위해서는 집중형 오류모델을 사용해야 한다는 결론을 도출한다. 또한 사용자가 인지하는 반응시간의 정확한 평가를 위해 평균과 표준편차를 동시에 고려한 새로운 반응시간 척도를 제안하고, 이를 평균으로만 반응시간을 평가할 경우와 비교하여 새로운 척도가 파라미터 변이에 대해 훨씬 민감하게 반응시간을 평가할 수 있다는 효율성을 입증한다.

Cyclic Factorial Association Scheme Partially Balanced Incomplete Block Designs

  • Cyclic Factorial Association Scheme (CFAS) for incomplete block designs in a factorial experiment is defined. It is a generalization of EGD/($2^n-1$)-PBIB designs defined by Hinkelmann (1964) or Binary Number Association Scheme (BNAS) named by Paik and Federer (1973). A property of PBIB designs having CFAS is investigated and it is shown that the structural matrix NN' of such designs has a pattern of multi-nested block circulant matrix. The generalized inverse of (rI-NN'/k) is obtained. Generalized Cyclic incomplete block designs for factorial experiments introduced by John (1973) are presented as the examples of CFAS-PBIB designs. Finally, the relationship between CFAS and BNAS in block designs is briefly discussed.

Highly Tunable Block Copolymer Self-assembly for Nanopatterning

  • Nanoscale block copolymer (BCP) patterns have been pursued for applications in sub-30 nm nanolithography. BCP self-assembly processing is scalable and low cost, and is well-suited for integration with existing semiconductor fabrication techniques. However, one of the major technical challenges for BCP self-assembly is limited tunability in pattern geometry, dimension, and functionality. We suggest methods for extending the degree of tunability by choosing highly incompatible polymer blocks and utilizing solvent vapor treatment techniques. Siloxane BCPs have been developed as self-assembling resists due to many advantages such as high etch-selectivity, good etch-resistance, long-range ordering, and reduced line-edge roughness. The large incompatibility leads to extensive degree of pattern tunability since the effective volume fraction can be easily manipulated by solvent-based treatment techniques. Thus, control of the microdomain size, periodicity, and morphology is possible by changing the vapor pressure and the mixing ratio of selective solvents. This allows a range of different pattern geometry such as dots, lines and holes and critical dimension simply by changing the processing conditions of a given block copolymer without changing a polymer chain length. We demonstrate highly extensive tunability (critical dimension ~6~30 nm) of self-assembled patterns prepared by a siloxane BCP with extreme incompatibility.

고속 블록 정합 움직임 추정을 위한 적응적 패턴 탐색 (Adaptive Pattern Search for Fast Block-Matching Motion Estimation)

  • 비디오 시퀀스의 현재 블록의 움직임 벡터와 이전 블록의 움직임 벡터는 시간적 상관성을 갖고있다. 본 논문에서는 현재 프레임 블록의 인접 블록으로부터 예측된 움직임 정보를 구하여, 이를탐색 원점으로 하여 수정된 다이아몬드 지역 레이더 패턴으로 블록 정합을 수행하는 블록 정합움직임 추정 방식을 제안한다. 실험 결과 제안된 방식은 전역탐색을 제외한 기존의 방식들에 비해 PSNR 값에 있어서 평균적으로 0.02~0.37[dB] 개선되고 움직임 벡터 예측의 속도에 있어서 약 14~24% 이상의 높은 성능 향상을 보였다.

어패럴 CAD System의 활용화 방안 연구(I) - Hip Block의 개발 - (A Study on the Application of the Apparel CAD System(I))

  • The Purpose of this study was to develop pattern drafting methods of the hip block and sleeve for female college students of 18 to 26 year-old. The study procedures and results were as follows ; 1. 313 female college students were measured, 17items were analyzed statisitcally. 2. New hip block and sleeve sloper were developed based on the result of the data analysis and fitting tests. 3. The sensory test was applied to evaluate the new hip block and sleeve sloper for female college student by comparing it with Japanese Bunka method sloper. According to statistical analysis of the result of 40items on the questionnaire, all the items showed significant difference($$a{\leq_-}0.01$$) between the two, with the new pattern having higher scores. The new drafting method proved to be better fitted at all 40items, and to be comfortable.
