  • The Center Based Navigation System(CBNS) used real time road data searches an optimal path. The other hand, the Terminal Based Navigation System(TBNS) used embedded road data searches a path that has less qualitative than the CBNS. But the TBNS has been favored, because it has no additional fees. Generally, TBNS has not used real time road data but it is recently able to use it with technique such as TPEG. However, it causes to increase a cost of exploring by using real time road data for improvement qualify of a path, because of limited performance. We propose a path-finding algorithm using a Maximum peed Dynamic Heuristic to improve quality and reduce a cost of exploring. Proposed method is to use a maximum road speed of appropriate region as dynamic heuristic for path-finding.

  • This paper is intended to study how well the routing protocol supplied in wireless mesh networks can evade interference path along the applied routing metric. Wireless mesh networks, unlike existing network techniques, has the characteristics that node movement is less and energy effect is limited. Therefore. this type of network requires path configuring technique to reflect such network characteristics and new routing metric to determine proper path. Routing metric proposed recently is designed to produce link quality accurately, but it configures path not considering the traffic situation of adjacent nodes. Thus. this technique has the problems of reduced transfer rate and delay between terminals occurring due to frequent traffic chaos by the interference of adjacent nodes. Therefore, this paper proposes metric that configures routing path by finding like metric that can transfer data effectively by considering the traffic situation of adjacent nodes. We confirmed through simulation that the proposed routing metric reduces the delay between terminals via the path that evades the traffic interference of adjacent node.

  • As XML has become an emerging standard for information exchange on the World Wide Web, it has gained attention in database communities to extract information from XML seen as a database model. XML queries are based on regular path queries, which find objects reachable by given regular expressions. To answer many kinds of user queries, it is necessary to evaluate queries that have multiple regular path expressions. However, previous work such as query rewriting and query optimization in the frame work of semistructured data has dealt with a single regular expression. For queries that have multiple regular expressions we suggest a two phase optimizing technique: 1. query rewriting using views by finding the mappings from the view's body to the query's body and 2. for rewritten queries, evaluating each query conjunct and combining them. We show that our rewriting algorithm is sound and our query evaluation technique is more efficient than the previous work on optimizing semistructured queries.

  • In this paper, the performance of AP(Alternating Projection) and EM(Expectation Maximization) algorithms is investigated in terms of detection of multiple signals, resolvability of coherent signals and the efficiency of sensor array processing. The basic idea of these algorithms is utilization of relaxation technique of successive 1D maximization to solve a direction finding problem by maximizing the multidimensional likelihood function. It means that the function is maximized over only for a single parameter while the other parameters are fixed at each step of the iteration. According to simulation results, the algorithms showed good performance for both incoherent and coherent multiple signals. Moreover, some advantages are identified for direction finding with very small samples and fast convergence. The performance of AP algorithm is compared with that of EM using multiple criteria such as the number of sensor, SNR, the number of samples, and convergence speed over uniform circular array. It is resulted AP algorithm is superior to EM overally except for one criterion, convergence speed. Especially, for EM algorithm there is no performance difference between incoherent and coherent case. In conclusion, AP and EM are viable and practical alternatives, which can be applied to a direction under due to the resolvability of multi-path signals, reliable performance and no troublesome eigen-decomposition of the sample-covariance matrix.

  • An action-selection-mechanism is proposed to deal with sequential behaviors, where associations between some of stimulus and behaviors will be learned by a shortest-path-finding-based reinforcement team ins technique. To be specific, we define behavioral motivation as a primitive node for action selection, and then sequentially construct a network with behavioral motivations. The vertical path of the network represents a behavioral sequence. Here, such a tree fur our proposed ASM can be newly generated and/or updated. whenever a new sequential behaviors is learned. To show the validity of our proposed ASM, some experimental results on a "pushing-box-into-a-goal task" of a mobile robot will be illustrated.

  • Generally, the Terminal Based Navigation System(TBNS) used embedded road data searches a path that has less qualitative than The Center Based Navigation System(CBNS). TBNS has not used real time road data but it is recently able to use it with technique such as TPEG. However, it causes to increase a cost of exploring by using real time road data for improvement quality of a path, because of limited performance. In this paper, we propose a Dynamic Heuristic to improve quality of path in the TBNS. Dynamic Heuristic(DH) is not fixed data and is dynamically modified using transferred real time road data from server. In this paper, we propose path-lading algorithm with Maximum Speed Dynamic Heuristic (DH-MAX) and do an experiment. The DH-MAX is to be used the highest speed as DH, in real map divided by same size. And proposed algorithm searches path using the priority searching only of the fixed data, but also the highest speed with real time information. In the performance test, the quality of path is enhanced but the cost of searching is increased than A* algorithm.

  • Routing and wavelength assignment problem is one of the most important issues in optical transport networks based on wavelength division multiplexing(WDM) technique. In this paper, we propose a novel approach using path conflict graphs and an algorithm for finding all edge disjoint paths. And then we compare the performance of the proposed algorithm with that of bounded greedy approach for EDP(BGAforEDP). The proposed one outperforms up to about 20$\%$ in the fixed traditional topology(NSFNET) and about 32$\%$ in random topologies over the BGA for EDP algorithm.

  • Sensor Nodes play a major role to monitor and sense the variations in physical space in various real-time application scenarios. These nodes are powered by limited battery resources and replacing those resource is highly tedious task along with this it increases implementation cost. Thus, maintaining a good network lifespan is amongst the utmost important challenge in this field of WSN. Currently, energy efficient routing techniques are considered as promising solution to prolong the network lifespan where multi-hop communications are performed by identifying the most energy efficient path. However, the existing scheme suffer from performance related issues. To solve the issues of existing techniques, a novel hybrid technique by merging particle swarm optimization and game theory model is presented. The PSO helps to obtain the efficient number of cluster and Cluster Head selection whereas game theory aids in finding the best optimized path from source to destination by utilizing a path selection probability approach. This probability is obtained by using conditional probability to compute payoff for agents. When compared to current strategies, the experimental study demonstrates that the proposed GTPSO strategy outperforms them.

  • Route travel cost in transportation networks consists of actual route travel cost and route perception cost. Since the route perception cost is differently perceived according to each origin and each destination, route search has limitation to reflect the note perception cost due to route enumeration problem. Thus, currently employed advanced traveller information systems (ATIS) have considered only actual route travel cost for providing route information. This study proposes an optimal and a K-route searching algorithm which are able to reflect the route perception cost but encompass route enumeration problem. For this purpose, this research defines the minimum nit of route as a link by adopting the link label technique in route searching, therefore the comparison of two adjacent links which can be finally expanded the comparison of two routes. In order to reflect the characteristics of route perception in real situation, an optimal shortest cost path algorithm that both the forward search from the origin and the backward search from the destination can be simultaneously processed is proposed. The proposed algorithm is applied for finding K number of shortest routes with an entire-path-deletion-type of K shortest route algorithm.

  • Considering a path represented by a sequence of link numbers in a network, the vine is differentiated from the loop in a sense that any link number can be appeared in the path only once, while more than once in the loop. The vine provides a proper idea how to account for complicated travel patterns such as U-turn and P-turn witnessed nearby intersections in urban roads. This paper proposes a new algorithm in which the vine travel pattern can be considered for finding K number of sequential paths. The main idea of this paper is achieved by replacing the node label of the existing Yen's algorithm by the link label technique. The case studies show that the algorithm properly represent the vine travel patterns in searching K number of paths. A noticeable result is that the algorithm may be a promising alternative for ITS deployment by enabling to provide reasonable route information including perceived traveler costs.
