System Construction Method of Parallel Operation System constructed with Three Electric Power Converters

  • Parallel operation systems have an advantage in that they can be constructed quickly and inexpensively by combining existing electric power converters. However, in this case, there is a peculiar problem in that a cross current flows between the electric power converters. To design a control system more simply and commonalize the core of combination reactors, we reviewed a system construction method for parallel operation systems constructed with three electric power converters.

  • This paper proposes a parallel operation system of the Z-source active power filter using one fuel cells(FC) system. The proposed system is composed of two Z-source inverters operating in parallel only one PEM(Polymer Electrolyte Membrane)FC system. Also, as the control algorithm of the active power filter, a single phase P-Q theory and PI control are adopted. The effectiveness of the proposed the system is verified by the PSIM simulation in the steady state and the transient state.

  • PLC(programmable logic controller) system is widely used for the control of factory. PLC system receives ladder diagram which is drawn by the user to implement hardware logic, converts the ladder diagram into sequence program which is executable in the PLC system, and executes the sequence program indefinitely unless user breaks. The sequence program processes the data of on/off signal, and endures 1 scan delay and missing of pulse-type signal shorter than a scan time. So, data dependency doesn't exist. By applying theis characteristics to multiprocessor architecture, we design parellel PLC functionally and evaluate performance upgrade. Parallel PLC consists of central processing module, N general processing unit, and a shared memory by master-slave type. Each module executes allocated sequence program by the control of central processing module. We can expect performance upgrade by parallel processing, and reliability by relocation of sequence program when error occurs in processing module.

  • In the intelligent integrated systems, the delay time must be reduced using highly parallel processors, as well as high throughput performance. In this paper, we propose a new concept for building 3D highly parallel processors using multi-layer printed wiring boards with built-in soldering heater (BISH-PWB). The proposed BISH is realized with the long and narrow cupper wiring pattern on the internal layer in the terminal pattern area. Based on the linearity of the cupper resistance vs. temperature, we can measure the BISH, temperature and its calorific value from the heater voltage and current measurements.   • The pressure ripples are inevitabilitily generated by a fluctuation of flow rate caused pump mechanism, which occur noises, vibrations, and affect a control performance in tluid pipeline. The method for reduction of pressure ripples has been normally used a accumulator which is installed near the pump generating the pressure ripples. This paper introduces the parallel pipeline as a method to reduce pressure ripples in tluid pipeline, and confirms the usefulness of it in reducing the pressure ripples as compared with the fluid pipeline with a accumulator using AMESim(Advanced Modeling Environment for Simulations) Software.

  • This paper has been studied the parallel resonant inverter which controlling the constant power and tracking the load resonant frequency with PLL is possible, in order to minimize switching losses. The current-fed full-bridge type parallel resonant inverter of an induction heating system was composed of IGBT in switching device. For regulating the output power of an induction heating system, the Fuzzy controller is used. The Fuzzy controller makes the control signal for a stable power regulating control and when reference is changed, it is superior to adaptability. It has been evaluated a stable behavior for a noise with switching and a load disturbance.

  • A parallel-resonant converter with zero-voltage-switching, pulse-width-modulation(ZVS-PWM) control is proposed. Similar to the previously proposed series-resonant counterpart, it has a simple structure and can be controlled at a constant switching frequency using an active-clamp technique. The nearly constant current output characteristic of the parallel-resonant converter lends itself beneficially to precisely controlled constant current power supply applications. An experimental breadboard featured an accuracy of $\pm$1% for an output current of 2A, with an efficiency of 75%.

  • In this paper, a novel wireless parallel operation algorithm of N+1 redundant UPS system with no control interconnections is presented. The load sharing of multiple UPS modules are controlled by Q-V droop and $P-\delta$ droop algorithm. This algorithm compensates for inverter parameter variation and line impedance imbalances with wireless auto-tuning method. And to increase the reliability of transient characteristic under parallel operation, a virtual injected Impedance is proposed to decrease a circulation current between inverter modules. Simulation results are provided to prove the novel wireless algorithm.

  • The module UPS can flexibly implement expansion of power system capacities. Furthermore, it can be used to build up the parallel redundant system to improve the reliability of power system operation. To realize the module UPS, load sharing without interconnection among parallel connecting modules as well as a small scale and lightweight topology is necessary. In this paper, the three-arm converter/inverter is compared with the general full-bridge and half-bridge topology from a practical point of view and chosen as the module UPS topology. The switching control approaches based on a pulse width modulation of the converter and inverter of the system are presented independently The frequency and voltage droop method is applied to parallel operation control to achieve load sharing. Two prototype 3kVA modules are designed and implemented to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed approaches. Experimental results show that the three-arm UPS system has a high power factor, a low distortion of output voltage and input current, and good load sharing characteristic.

  • 본 논문에서는 통신 기지국용 전원으로 사용할 수 있는 직렬 공진형 컨버터 시스템의 새로운 제어방식을 제안하였다. 주파수 제어 직렬 공진형 컨버터 시스템은 병렬 출력 직렬 공진(Parallel Output Series Resonant: POSR)형태이기 때문에 부하변동에 강인하다. 또한 스위칭 주파수를 제어함으로써 입력전압의 변화에도 안정된 출력을 제공한다. 실제 시스템 제작에 앞서 제안된 병렬 출력 직렬 공진형 컨버터 시스템의 분석을 하였고 ACSL(Advanced Continuous Simulation Language)을 이용한 모의실험을 하였다. 또한 실제의 시스템을 제작 및 실험을 통하여 시스템 특성을 확인하였다.
