The author present a modified multi-loop algorithm Including feedforward for controlling a 55kW stepdown chopper in the power supply of Maglev The gains of the control algorithm were selected based on pole locations formulated from a prototype Bessel transfer function model. The design incorporate tradeoffs in DC-to-DC converter hard-ware para-meters and pole locations. This perturvation is derived by subtracting the desired output voltage from the actual output voltage. The proportional and integral action stabilizes the system and minimizes output voltage error. In order to verify the validity of the proposed multi-loop controller, simulation study was tried using Matlab simulink.
The physical properties, including magneto-optical and transport ones, of Ni$_2$MnG$_2$ alloy in the martensitic and austenitic states were investigated. The dependence of the temperature coefficient of resistivity on temperature shows kinks at the structural and ferro-para magnetic transitions. Electron-magnon and electron-phonon scattering are analyzed to be the dominant scattering mechanisms of the Ni$_2$MnG$_2$ alloy in the martensitic and austenitic states, respectively. The experimental real parts of the off-diagonal components of the dielectric function present two sharp peaks, one at 1.9 eV and the other at 3.2 eV, and a broad shoulder at 3.5 eV, all are identified by the band-structure calculations. These peak positions are coincident with those in the corresponding optical-conductivity spectrum, which is thought to originate from the single-spin state in Ni$_2$MnG$_2$ alloy.
It has been well known that peripheral infusion of angiotensin II results in an increase of blood pressure, and an elevation of aldosterone secretion, and an inhibition of renin relase. However, the direct effect of angiotensin II on renal function has not been clearly established. In the present study, to investigate the effect of angiotensin II on renal function and renin release, angiotensin II (0.3, 3 and 10 ng/kg/min) was infused into a unilateral renal artery of the unanesthetized rabbit and changes in renal function and active and inactive renin secretion rate (ARSR, IRSR) were measured. In addition, to determine the relationship between the renal effect of angiotensin II and adenosine, the angiotensin II effect was evaluated in the presence of simultaneously infused 8-phenyltheophylline (8-PT, 30 nmole/min), adenosine A 1 receptor antagonist. Angiotensin II infusion at dose less than 10 ng/kg/min decreased urine flow, clearances of para-amino-hippuric acid and creatinine, and urinary excretion of electrolytes in dose-dependent manner. The changes in urine flow and sodium excretion were significantly correlated with the change in renal hemodynamics. Infusion of angiotensin II at 10 ng/kg/min also decreased ARSR, but it has no significant effect on IRSR. The change in ARSR was inversely correlated with the change in IRSR. The plasma concentration of catecholamine was not altered by an intarenal infusion of angiotensin II. In the presence of 8-PT in the infusate, the effect of angiotensin II on renal function was significantly attenuated, but that on renin secretion was not modified. These results suggest that the reduction in urine flow and Na excretion during intrarenal infusion of angiotensin II was not due to direct inhibitions of renal tubular transport systems, but to alterations of renal hemodynamics which may partly be mediated by the adenosine receptor.
Aesthetics of use for modern people can be regarded as being weighted toward universal and rational function since it has focused on an 'automation and efficiency' and 'smartness' in terms of technological and human engineering position. Thus, aesthetics of use as an individual agent has remained in minimal level. This study attempts to seek conceptual model of design regarding the behavior of users from the systematization of critical theories about the usability. To do that, 'HERTZAIN TALES' written by Anthony Dune and the concept and system of Droog Design have been used as a core standard. In line with the various experiments by artist groups such as Fluxus, Memphis group and the work of product semantics, and inherent characteristics of Droog design, which has surfaced from the 1990s, concepts that has mentioned in the Hertzain tales have been organized into main texts. By overcoming cognitive bias inherent in the material culture and by overcoming an existing usability based on immateriality and dialectic solution, the autonomy of critical design and instrumentality of Droog design have been systemized. By interpreting the design aspect of 12 pieces that have been submitted to the RE;MIND section, the core of this study, it has been confirmed that conceptual and critical design's aesthetics of use From the interpretation of the design aspect of 12 pieces that have been submitted to the RE;MIND section, the core of this study, it has been confirmed that conceptual and critical design's aesthetics of use has established the autonomy and independence of the behavior of users, created functional articulation of materials and secured new conceptual model and thus, could be an effective methodical clue for creating an emergent design.
There have been reports on the aberration of the control mechanisms of the blood pressure, hormone secretion, and renal functions in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR). However, the contribution of the renin-angiotensin system in the maintenance of high blood pressure in SHR is still controversial. Recently, it has been reported that the negative feedback short loop control mechanism of the renin-angiotensin system may be changed in SHR. In the present experiment, it was attempted to explore the possible alterations in the effect of arginine vasopressin (AVP) on the renal function in SHR. Experiments have been done in anesthetized SHR as well as in normotensive Wistar and Sprague-Dawley rats as control groups. Pharmacologic doses of AVP (10-13 mU/rat/10 min) decreased urine volume, excreted amount of creatinine and para-amino-hippuric acid. No differences in these parameters was observed between normotensive and hypertensive rats. AVP increased sodium and potassium excretion, but the responses in SHR were suppressed as compared with normotensive rats. Intravenous infusion of AVP also increased blood pressure in normotensive and hypertensive rats and a vasopressor effect of AVP was attenuated in SHR. There was a positive correlation between the changes in blood pressure and excreted amount of sodium during AVP infusion. These data suggest that the attenuated natriuretic effect of intravenous infusion of AVP may be due to a difference in renal tubular responsiveness to AVP but not due to a difference in vasopressor responsiveness.
Even though back pain therapy has greatly improved as spinal bio-mechanics is introduced, many patients still have difficulties due to low back pain. At the initial therapeutic stage, the aim of rehabilitation therapy for low back pain is pain control, but, at the later therapeutic stage, the prime aims are to reduce the late complication and to prevent the recurrence of low back pain. Accurate diagnosis should be a first step before any therapy is planned. Thus, accurate physical, neurologic, E.M.G. and radiologic tests are required to give prescription for therapeutic exercise to the patients. In addition to this, the roles of theraphists and therapeutic exercise should be re-evaluated after the therapeutic exercise is performed. Fist of all, the most important things are to educate the patients to understand the low back pain and to let the patients join the therapeutical planning. 1. Bed rest and muscle relaxing exercise for releasing the muscle tention are required for the treatment of acute low back pain. An active exercise is recommended rather than a passive exercise. If the therapeutic exercise depravate the low back pain, the exercise should be immediately terminated and the therapeutical exercise should be replanned. 2. For the treatment of the chronic back pain, stretching exercise and para-spinal muscle strengthening exercise should be performed steadily and actively to prevent the recurrence of low back pain and the low back injury due to minor damage. The patients should be educated to do proper exercise and to maintain good posture in everyday life. 3. As the low back pain is released and the body function is recovered, control of whole body function is necessary. Swiming, bicycling and walking for $30\sim40$ minutes a day and $3\sim4$ days a week are recommended. Other exercise could be recommended depending on the patients condition.
Large soft tissue defects around the knee joint are known to significantly diminish joint function. Severe soft tissue defects on the anterior aspect of the knee joint especially bring on significant joint motion limitation. Although simple split skin grafts can cover the skin defect, the progressing scar contracture of the grafted skin causes joint stiffness. One of the best solutions of large soft tissue defects around the knee joint is covering the defect with a good quality skin flap. Separated flaps with one vascular pedicle are good candidates for covering anterior and posterior aspects of the joint for example. Authors performed 12 cases of combined scapular and latissimus dorsi free flaps from 1984 to 2000. Among them, we experienced 5 cases of knee joint defect covering using the double free flap for coverage of the soft tissue defect with preservation of the knee joint function and satisfactory results. The system of flaps based on the subscapular artery and vein provides a variety of composite free flaps. The possible flaps that can be harvested based on this single vascular pedicle include the scapular and parascapular skin flap, the serratus anterior and latissimus dorsi muscular flap, the lateral scapular bone flap, the latissimus dorsi-rib flap, and the serratus anterior-rib flap. This combined flap is available for multiple tissue defects or complex defects because it can be incorporated with skin, muscle and bone flaps. A main advantage is the independent vascular pedicles of each component, which allow freedom in orientation of each components. Consequently it can be freely applied to any form of three dimensional defects on the upper and lower extremities. The combination of scapular cutaneous flap and latissimus dorsi musculocutaneous flap can be resurfaced for massive cutaneous defects on the extremities. We report the use of the combined scapular and latissimus dorsi free flap in five patients to reconstruct massive defects on the extremities with resultant improved joint function. There was no flap failure and minimal complications and disadvantages. The anatomy of this flap is reviewed and the indication and advantages are discussed. All of the five flaps survived and there was no scar contracture affecting the joint motion.
The energy- and time-dependent branching to the competing dissociation paths are studied by theory for coupled unimolecular dissociations of the o-, m-, and p-chlorotoluene radical cations to $C_7{H_7}^+$ (benzylium and tropylium). There are four different paths to $C_7{H_7}^+$, three to the benzylium ion and one to the tropylium ion, and all of them are coupled together. The branching to the multiple paths leads to the multiexponential decay of reactant with the branching ratio depending on both internal energy and time. To gain insights into the multipath branching, we study the detailed kinetics as a function of time and internal energy on the basis of ab inito/RRKM calculations. The number of reaction steps to $C_7{H_7}^+$ is counted for each path. Of the three isomers, the meta mostly goes through the coupling, whereas the para proceeds with little or no coupling. In the beginning, some reactants with high internal energy decay fast to the benzylium ion without any coupling and others rearrange to the other isomers. Later on all three isomers dissociate to the products via long-lived intermediates. Thus, the reactant shows a multiexponential decay and the branching ratio varies with time as the average internal energy decreases with time. The reciprocal of the effective lifetime is taken as the rate constant. The resulting rate-energy curves are in line with experiments. The present results suggest that the coupling between the stable isomers is thermodynamically controlled, whereas the branching to the product is kinetically controlled.
Hwangryunagyotang is supposed to have significant effects on some sorts of cardiovascular diseases like atherosclerosis. For this study. ACAT inhibitor was put in LDLR -/- mice to derive free cholesterol from it. This was to examine the effectiveness of Hwangryunnagyotang on its protecting and recovering function with endothelial cells damaged by free cholesterol through experimental. The results reported below. Hwangryunagyotang suppressed the crystallization of reactive oxygen species in macrophages and the numbers of free cholesterol crystal plate structured and reduced fragmentation of nucleus in ECV 304 cell strain by ACAT inhibitor significantly. Hwangryunagyotang also suppressed the necrosis of tissue in LDLR -/- mice' (treated with ACAT inhibitor) inflammatory portion which is adjacent to aortic root, proximal aorta and carotid artery by immunohistochemistry and fluorescence microscopy. On the whole, Hwangryunagyotang suppressed the necrosis of endothelial cells and especially it's effcet for the necrosis of para-myocardial tissues by free cholesterol. With this result, I suggest Hwangryunagyotang might have protective and recovery effects on atherosclerosis, so we need to carry on this study henceforth clinically and experimentally as well.
