Spider fauna of Oksunbong located in Jecheon City, Chungcheongbuk-do, was surveyed provisionally from May to September in 1998. A total of 58 species of 40 genera in 18 families from 301 individuals of spiders were identified. Species richness of each family, there were 10 Araneid species (17.2%), followed by 9 Theridiid species (15.5%), and 8 Tetergnathid speices (13.8%). Zoogeographically, spider fauna of Oksunbong represented 1 cosmopolitan species (1.7%), 2 holarctic region species (3.4%), and 7 palearctic region species (12.1%). However, Korean endemic species were not collected during this survey. Thus it is suggested that spider fauna of Oksunbong was under northern regional influence.

A Korean Cheiracanthium erraticum (Walckenaer, 1802) is first described with detailed illustrations, leg spination, trichobothrium patterns and SEM photographs of male palp and female epigynum. Two species, C. lascivum Karsch, 1879 and C. eutittha Boesenberg & Strand, 1906 are excluded from Korean fauna. A map showing distribution of species and a key to the species of genus Cheiracanthium from Korea are provided.

The 2015 version of the bibliographic checklist of Korean spiders from the first checklist by Paik and Kim (1956) is presented, together with a complete bibliography of relevant Korean araneological literature. A total of 620 publications during 1907-2015 including original description on the Korean spiders and records of taxonomic description were critically reviewed. Records only from locations within the present borders of South Korea are listed. A total of 748 spider species of 271 genera belonging to 46 families are confirmed to exist in Korea. Twenty one species, whose distribution or existence within the Korean border are uncertain and lacked valid records, are excluded from the present list pending critical validation. Four spider species endemic to North Korean are listed separately from the present list. One genus, Joopilia Chae and Sohn, 2013 and 2 species, Joopilia jooplis Chae and Sohn, 2013 and Dolomedes jirisanensis Kim and Chae, 2012, which had no designated type species and no diagnosis, are cited as nomina nuda. New synonyms of 15 previously described spider species are proposed. Based on their zoogeographical distribution, the Korean spider fauna was found to be influenced by the northern species, including 36 Holarctic and 72 Palearctic species (14.5% of the total species). Korean endemic species include 160 species (21.5% of the total species). Korean indigenous spiders are also distributed in neighboring countries: 318 species in Russia (42.7%), 460 in China (61.7%), and 488 in Japan (65.5%).

강원도 양양군과 인제군에 걸쳐 설악산 국립공원의 남부를 차지하고 있는 점봉산게 서식하는 거미류는 미확정 5종을 포함하여 총 27과 88녹 144종으로 나타났다. 풍부한 종 구성을 갖는 우점과의 순위는 접시거미과가 21종 (14.6%), 왕거미과 20종(13.9%), 꼬마거미과 16종(11.1%), 깡충거미과 12종(8.3%)등의 순이었고, 나머지 과는 미소 하였다. 생활형에 따르면 조망성거미는 89종(62.2%)으로 배회성 거미 55종(37.8%)보다 우세하였다. 거미류의 생태적 분포면에서 보면 구북계(Pal. spp.)가 16종 (11.2%), 전북계(Hol. spp.) 7종(4.9%) 범세계종(Cos. spp.)이 1종(0.7%)이고 한국고유종(Kor. spp.)은 25종(미확정 5종 포함, 17.4%)이었고 동양계(Or. spp.)는 한 종도 채집되지 않았다. 따라서 점봉산은 한국고유종이 차지하는 비율이 높아 가장 한국적 특성을 잘 반영하는 동시에 북방계(Pal. + Hol., 16.1%)의 거미가 우세한 지역임을 알 수 있다. 또한, 인접국가와의 공통성을 보면, 한국과 일본, 한국과 중국, 한국과 러시아 (사할린과 시베리아 포함)의 공통종은 각각 115종(80.4%), 98종(68.5%), 48종(33.6%)으로 일본, 중국과 공통성이 매우 크게 나타났으며 한·일·중·러 공통종은 39종 (27.3%)으로 나타났다. 한편, 개발치 정도와 방향에 따른 물리적 환경 변화가 생물상에 영향을 주고 있음을 알 수 있었으며, 따라서 자연환경을 보전을 위해서는 개발의 정도와 시간의 경과에 따른 생물상의 변화를 감지할 수 있는 감시 시스템이 필요할 것으로 사료되며, 거미류는 종다양성과 발생밀도가 자연상태에서 매우 높고 발견이 용이하기 때문에 조사의 진행정도에 따라 환경오염 등의 환경변화를 반영할 수 있는 지표생물로 활용 가능하다고 판단된다.

경상남도 밀양 소재 가지산도립공원에서 채집한 317개체의 거미류는 20과 59속 66종으로 동정되었다. 종지수(species richness)는 깡충거미과 12종(20.0%), 꼬마거미과 8종(12.1%), 접시거미과 5종(7.6%), 왕거미과, 코리나거미과, 수리거미과 및 게거미과가 각 4종(6.1%), 갈거미과, 비탈거미과 및 새우게거미과가 각 3종(4.5%)의 순이었다. 동물지리구에 따른 종은 범열대종 1종(1.5%), 구북구종 4종(6.1%) 및 한국고유종은 3종(4.5%)이었으며 향후 산지에서의 생물상 및 생물자원의 분포 및 장기 모니터링에 중요한 정보를 제공할 것으로 사료된다.

Spider fauna of Mt. Yongmunsan located in Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, was surveyed from April to October in 1996. A total of 75 species of 51 genera in 22 families from 996 individuals of spiders were identified. Species richness of each family, there were 17 Araneid species (22.7%), followed by each of the 7 Thomisid and Tetragnathid species (9.3%), 6 Salticid species (8.0%), and 5 Lycosid species (6.7%). Zoogeographically, spider fauna of Mt. Yongmunsan represented 1 cosmopolitan species (1.3%), 2 holarctic region species (2.6%), and 9 palearctic region species (12.0%), and 4 Korean endemic species (4.0%). Thus it is suggested that spider fauna of Mt. Yongmunsan was under northern regional influence.
