  • Habruta is a question-based learning that talks, discusses, and argues in pairs. In particular, the famous painting Habruta is being implemented for the purpose of enhancing the appreciation ability of paintings and enriching the expressive power through questions and answers about the famous paintings. In this study, in order to support the famous painting Habruta for oriental paintings, we propose a method of automatically generating questions from the gender perspective of oriental painting characters using the current deep learning technology. Specifically, in this study, based on the pre-trained model, VGG16, we propose a model that can effectively analyze the features of Asian paintings by performing fine-tuning. In addition, we classify the types of questions into three types: fact, imagination, and applied questions used in the famous Habruta, and subdivide each question according to the character to derive a total of 9 question patterns. In order to verify the feasibilityof the proposed methodology, we conducted an experiment that analyzed 300 characters of actual oriental paintings. As a result of the experiment, we confirmed that the gender classification model according to our methodology shows higher accuracy than the existing model.

  • Probabilistic approach is applied to the experiment of Probability Density Function to get the information. Especially this method will be useful to make the montage to compare similarity. But in the case of art painting, it is more difficult than montage image. In this case, we should study the habit of painter with characteristic point in the paintings. Especially we will study characteristic point in the oil paintings to decide truth or falsehood in this paper.

  • The buddhistic painting of Song-Kwang temple in Seungjoo-gun, Chonnam, Korea is not known in chronicle, but it could be estimated to works in the early 19th century through it's remaining records and qualities of materials. And it was analysed the qualities of materials consisting of pigment layer, silken-ground layer and support layer in order to preserve buddhistic painting, made back-adherent paper of the support layer proper to it, tested its compatibility, and then concluded as follows. 1. The section structures of buddhistic painting is consisted of the pigment layer, silken-ground layer of silk and the support layer of Korean hand made paper, it could be recognized that buddhistic painting in 19th century was basically composed of the pigment layer, the silken-ground layer and the support layer. Moreover the pigment layer and the silken-ground layer got adhered with glue, and sheets of support layers got back adhered with paste. 2. The support layer of buddhistic painting consisted of 5 layers and two kinds of paper were used for them. The first and second layers were composed of Korean hand made paper made of pure paper mulberry bast fibers, and the rest of them of paper that paper mulberry bast fibers were mixed into recycled hemp fibers. Though it is difficult to assert without the security of more data, finding out the then situation through the qualities of materials, it was presumed that the society in 19th century was suffered from economical difficulties and the operation of the paper industry of temples was rather difficult and so low-qualitative recycled hemp fibers might used for back-adherent paper. 3. Considering tension between silken-ground layers and support layers of this materials, newly made back-adherent paper was used for repair, and then I could conform that it was proper to back-adherent paper for repair.

  • As the customer's needs for diverse colors, the process of bus painting shop is becoming more and more complex. In particular, frequent changes of paint colors in each spray process require the cleaning of the painting nozzles and setting them up for the new paints, which results in increased time and cost and reduced production. This also increases environmental influences. This paper proposes, as a solution to this issue, the use of color selection field (CSF). CSF is physically a system of conveyors that are used to rearrange objects in a flow line. CSF is proposed, in this paper, to be introduced right before the spray process so that buses are better grouped according to their desired colors. Various parameters of the CSF, such as the number of conveyors and algorithms to determine the rearranged sequence of buses, have been determined by running simulations using the digital manufacturing technology, and investigating the simulation results. As an outcome of the proposed solution, the CSF system is expected to reduce approximately 30% of the nozzle cleaning cost for a Korean motor company case, which will not only benefit the company economically, but will also benefit the environment.

  • Simulacre means a copy of the original, an ostensible representation of someone or something. This study closely looks at the 2017 <VOGUE like a painting exhibition> hosted by the fashion magazine Vogue. The purpose of this study is to use both theoretical and empirical analysis to analyze the simulacre developed in fashion photographs inspired by famous paintings in the exhibition booklet. The booklet is divided into four sections: portrait, rococo, landscape painting, from avant-garde to pop art. It also contains 55 pieces comparing the original masterpieces to the works of 26 photographers inspired by them. The fashion photographs were analyzed using Jean Baudrillard's four stages of simulacre transformation: represent, denature, dissimulate, and replace image change theory. The degree of simulacre expression was indicated three times on a four-point Likert scale by five fashion majors, and the results were integrated and analyzed. As a result, in fashion photography, simulacre-due to the development of photography technology and the photographer's artistry-appeared in various ways; image denature was most preferred, followed by dissimulate, represent, and replace. This study shows that image analysis of fashion photo-graphs and applying the perspective of simulacre when creating artworks can be a way to obtain rich qualitative data in the future.

  • The most important part of conservation treatment of murals is to preserve them against the risk of a damage by injecting fixative into them when the painting loses its cohesion or powderization of pigments occurred due to occurrence of cracks inside the painting layer. However, studies on the stability of fixative used for painting layers of murals are still insufficient. This study manufactured a mural as a specimen and colored it with four kinds of pigments including oyster shell white, cinnabar, malachite and red clay and applied four kinds of fixative, including, Paraloid $B-72^{(R)}$, Caparol-$binder^{(R)}$, glue and Hydoxypropyl $cellulose^{(R)}$. artificially generated environmental changes in temperature, humidity and ultraviolet rays which may occur after the completion of conservation treatment. Then the changes in physical properties were observed in multifaceted ways such as color stability, contact angle, brilliance, adhesive strength and surface. As a result, this study found that ultraviolet rays and hot?humid environment have a large impact on color stability causing changes in brightness and chroma of all painting layers where the fixative were applied, except for oyster shell white and are considered the main factors of decomposition by accelerating the aging process of fixatives applied. In comparison to the synthetic resins that were also tested in this study, the traditional glue showed satisfactory results in terms of color stability and influence preservation and the hydrophile property. As it showed exceptionally outstanding adhesive strength in all painting layers in the aspect of adhesive strength, it is considered to be highly stabile for the fixation treatment of painting layers of mural.

  • Ukiyo-e, a pivotal facet of Japanese art, had a profound impact on Western art during the 19th century, contributing to the emergence of Impressionism and Post-Impressionism. Notably, Katsushika Hokusai's "Great Wave" remains an enduring masterpiece. Ukiyo-e's historical trajectory is intricately linked to the socio-cultural context of its time. Japan's early artistic influences derived from China, evolving through the Nara and Heian periods. Ukiyo-e emerged from the Yamato-e tradition, characterized by its transition from religious themes to secular subjects. Zen Buddhism's influence during the Muromachi Shogunate shifted focus to ink wash painting, which eventually became accessible to the masses. The Azuchi-Momoyama period introduced lavish, colorful works. The Edo Shogunate upheld Kano School for the elite, while folklore painting gained popularity among the commoners, leading to the creation of Ukiyo-e. Ukiyo-e diversified its subjects, including beauty, geisha, sumo, landscapes, and more. The Asakusa district's "Shin-Yoshiwara" added to its vibrant themes. By the late 19th century, Ukiyo-e transcended its roots, encompassing landscapes, wildlife, and beyond. I explore Ukiyo-e's aesthetics and its influence on Impressionism, focusing on "The Three Masters of Ukiyo-e" - Kiyotagawa Komaro, Katsushika Hokusai, and Utagawa Hiroshige.
