온도변화에 따른 신발 중창용 발포체의 충격 및 반발특성 (Impact and Rebounding Properties of Shoe Midsole with Temperature)

  • 신발중창용으로 사용되는 IP, PH 그리고 PU 발포체의 경도가 온도변화에 따른 발포체의 저장탄성율(G'), 충격력, 반발탄성율 등에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 측정 온도가 감소함에 따라 PU 발포체의 저장탄성율은 현저히 증가하였으나, PH 및 IP 발포체의 경우 측정 온도에 따른 영향을 크게 받지 않는 것으로 나타났다. $20^{\circ}C$ 이하의 온도에서는 측정 온도가 감소함에 따라 PU 발포체의 충격력은 증가하는 현상을 나타내었으나 PH와 IP 발포체의 충격력은 온도에 큰 영향을 받지 않는 것으로 나타났다. $20^{\circ}C$ 이상의 온도에서 PH와 IP 발포체의 충격력은 현저하게 증가하였으나, PU 발포체의 경우는 큰 변화가 없었다. $-20^{\circ}C$에서 $40^{\circ}C$까지의 온도 영역에서는 PU 발포체의 반발탄성율이 PH와 IP의 경우 보다 낮게 나타났다.

Evaluation of nuclear material accountability by the probability of detection for loss of Pu (LOPu) scenarios in pyroprocessing

  • A new methodology to analyze the nuclear material accountability for pyroprocessing system is developed. The $Pu-to-^{244}Cm$ ratio quantification is one of the methods for Pu accountancy in pyroprocessing. However, an uncertainty in the $Pu-to-^{244}Cm$ ratio due to the non-uniform composition in used fuel assemblies can affect the accountancy of Pu. A random variable, LOPu, is developed to analyze the probability of detection for Pu diversion of hypothetical scenarios at a pyroprocessing facility considering the uncertainty in $Pu-to-^{244}Cm$ ratio estimation. The analysis is carried out by the hypothesis testing and the event tree method. The probability of detection for diversion of 8 kg Pu is found to be less than 95% if a large size granule consisting of small size particles gets sampled for measurements. To increase the probability of detection more than 95%, first, a new Material Balance Area (MBA) structure consisting of more number of Key Measurement Points (KMPs) is designed. This multiple KMP-measurement for the MBA shows the probability of detection for 8 kg Pu diversion is greater than 96%. Increasing the granule sample number from one to ten also shows the probability of detection is greater than 95% in the most ranges for granule and powder sizes.

Investigations on the Pu-to-244Cm ratio method for Pu accountancy in pyroprocessing

  • Non-uniformity of Pu and Cm composition in used nuclear fuel was analyzed to determine its effect on Pu accountancy in pyroprocessing, while employing the Pu-to-244Cm ratio method. Burnup simulation of a typical pressurized water reactor fuel assembly, required for the analysis, was carried out using MCNP code. Used fuel nuclide composition, as a function of nine axial and two radial meshes, were evaluated. The axial variation of neutron flux and self-shielding effects were found to affect the uniformity of Pu and Cm compositions and in turn the Pu-to-244Cm ratio. However, the results of the study showed that these non-uniformities do not affect the use of Pu-to-244Cm ratio method for Pu accountancy, if the measurement samples are drawn from the voloxidized powder at the feed step of pyroprocessing. 'Material Unaccounted For' and its uncertainty estimates are also presented for a pyrprocessing facility to verify safeguards monitoring requirements of the IAEA.

  • Polyurethane은 물리적, 화학적 성질이 매우 다른 두 segment(hard/soft)로 이루어진 block copolymer로서 hard segment의 화학적 구조가 hard segment의 packing정도에 영향을 미쳐, PU의 미세상분리 현상을 결정하며 결과적으로 PU의 물리적 성질에 큰 영향을 미치게 된다$^1$. 본 연구에서는 hard segment의 packing을 향상시켜 PU은 열적 기계적 특성을 향상시키기 위하여 방향족환으로 구성되어 있어 aromatic diol의 일종인 hydroxyquinone-di-(beta-hydroxyl)ether(HQEE)를 chain extender로 사용하여 PU를 합성하였다.   • We present a high resolution spectrum of PU Vul observed at Bohyunsan Optical Astronomy Observatory (BOAO) on April 9, 2004. Permitted emission and nebular lines of PU Vul had been significantly changed compared to all spectra observed since its eruption in 1979. Therefore all new lines should be re-identified and were done so. We do-convoluted a $H{\beta}$ line into several emission components with Gaussian functions. Then we carefully discussed the geometrical feature of PU Vul in April 2004.

  • Recently Orientalism becomes the center of public interest. So many books related to Cheon Pu Kyung(천부경) are published in Korea. But the present writer thinks that such literature doesn#t communicate us, as it is, the original meaning of Cheon Pu Kyung. Most specialists concentrate on not so much the original text interpretation as annotation in reference to Cheon Pu Kyung. If so, it is difficult for us to find out precisely the real intention of it. Consequently the present writer in the interpretation of Cheon Pu Kyung makes plans to carry out the real intention interpretation and annotation based on Cheon Pu Kyung interpretation of Seok-Kok(석곡) Lee, Kyu-Jun(이규준). Together, the contents on which this article is based on were investigated as follows: 1. words go into 2. the limit of the original text interpretation 3. why does it need the real intention interpretation of Cheon Pu Kyung 4. the interpretative limit of Cheon Pu Kyung literature 5. Mechanical Behavior of Shape Memory Fibers Spun from Nanoclay-Tethered Polyurethanes

  • This study examined the effect of nanoclays on the shape memory behavior of polyurethane (PU) in fibrous form. A cation was introduced into the PU molecules to disperse the organo-nanoclay (MMT) into poly($\varepsilon$-caprolactone) (PCL)-based PU (PCL-PU). The MMT/PCL-PU nanocomposites were then spun into fibers through melt-processing. The shape memory performance of the spun fibers was examined using a variety of thermo-mechanical tests including a new method to determine the transition temperature of shape memory polymers. The MMTs showed an improved the fixity strain rate of the MMT /PCL- PU fibers but a slight decrease in their recovery strain rate. This was explained by the limited movement of PU molecules due to the presence of nanoclays. The shape memory performance of the MMT/PCL-PU fibers was not enhanced significantly by the nanoclays. However, their recovery power was improved significantly up to a strain of approximately 50%.

  • This paper presents a lecture note of pu method for power system analysis. The author tries to help students in class better understand the fundamental of pu calculation using a very simple DC circuit. And a voltage drop calculation by pu method for a distribution system is given to help understand the importance of the vector reference in AC circuit analysis. A short current calculation by pu method for a power system with a generator, transformer and transmission line is also presented to show how pu calculation can be applied to real power systems, in which all the data are the ones currently being used by KEPCO and other industrial sites.

HEVC 고속 부호화를 위한 PU 탐색 조기 종료 기법 (An Early Termination Algorithm of Prediction Unit (PU) Search for Fast HEVC Encoding)

  • 최신 비디오 부호화 표준인 HEVC(High Efficiency Video Coding)에서는 재귀적으로 동일한 4개의 블록으로 분할될 수 있는 쿼드 트리 기반의 부호화단위(CU: Coding Unit) 구조를 적용하여 높은 부호화 효율을 얻는다. 각 깊이(depth) 레벨에서 각 CU는 가변 크기의 예측단위(PU: Prediction Unit)로 분할된다. 하지만 각 부호화트리단위(CTU: Coding Tree Unit) 마다 최적의 CU 분할구조와 각 CU 마다 최적의 PU 모드를 결정하기 위한 상당한 계산 복잡도 증가를 야기한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 계산 복잡도를 줄이기 위하여 PU 탐색을 조기 종료하는 고속 PU 결정 기법을 제시한다. 제한 기법은 상위 깊이 CU의 최적 모드와 부호화 율-왜곡 비용을 이용해서 현재 깊이 CU에서의 특정 모드의 율-왜곡 비용 계산을 생략함으로써 PU 탐색을 조기 종료한다. 실험결과 제안기법은 HM 12.0 대비 0.2%의 비트 증가에 18.1%의 계산시간 감소 효과를 얻을 수 있음을 확인하였다.
