  • The dielectric and piezoelectric properties with compositions in Pb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3-PbZrO3-(PNN-PT-PZ)solid solution ceramics were investigated. In this study, the compsition ranges were 30 PNN 45mole%, 20 PT 50mole% and 50 PZ5mole%. As PT fraction were increased the grain size was increased and the fired density was decreased, but the changes of PNN fraction had no effect on the grain size. The Curie temperature was increased when PT and PNN fraction were increased. The displacement was increased but had a great hysteresis loss when PT fraction was increased. In morphotropic phase boundary, the maximum piezoelectric and electromechanical coupling factor were indicated. Morphotropic phase boundary(MPB) was 34 PT 36mole% in chang of compositions.

  • The effect of 0-0.7 ㏖% addition of $Cr_2$$O_3$on the dielectric, pyroelectric, and piezoelectric properties were studied in the (Mg$0.7Pb_{1}$$3/Nb_{2}$3/)$O_3$-$0.3PbTiO_3$(0.7PMN-0.3PT) ceramics with composition near the morphotropic phase boundary. The dielectric constant and loss of the ceramics samples were measured as a function of temperature at various frequencies (0.1-100 KHz). The pyroelectric coefficient was measured by using the Byer-Roundy method as a function of temperature. Dielectric, pyroelectric, and piezoelectric constant achieved the maximum values of 0.4 ㏖% $Cr_2$$O_3$The transition temperature is continuously shifted to lower temperature with an increase of a small amount of $Cr_2$$O_3$.

  • Piezoelectric Buzzer which has been generally used requires about 30kV/cm poling process and has the aging effects. In this study, 0.85 PZN - 0.10 BT - 0.05 PT system ceramics with additives of 0 - 2 wt% YS12TOS13T were fabricated and investigated on electromechanical coupling coefficient(kS1pT), electric field induced charge coefficient(dS131T), and sound level. As the results, in the 0.4 wt% YS12TOS13T added composition ceramics compared with the basic, kS1pT was increased from 0.355 to 0.39 and induced piezoelectric d constant increased from 204 to 220 x 10S0-12T (C/N) and sound level of electrostrictive Buzzer has the highest value of 71.5 dB under 8kV/cm bias electric field.

  • Generally, Piezoelectric ceramics based lead-zirconate-titanate(PZT) system are well known to use in high power devices. In this pacer. Pb(Mn$\sub$1/3//Sb$\sub$2/3/)O$_3$(PMS) ceramics which have been shown to be adaptable for a high power usage is introduced. The stability of piezoelectric properties in PZ-PT-PMS solid solution system such as piezoelectric constants. electromechanical coupling coefficient and mechanical quality factor is discussed by the addition effect of CeO$_2$ as a additive. The CeO$_2$ ratio ranges from 0 to 2 wt%. The resonant and anti-resonant frequencies. mechanical quality factor, and force factor are also measured as a function of vibration velocity

  • We report a fiber optic interferometric electric field sensor that utilizes electrostrictive ceramics-1%, 2%, 3%, La-doped 0.9MN/0.1PT, respectively-as the transducing elements. It is also experimentally observed that 3% La-doped PMN/PT among the three elements has the largest electrostrictive coefficient $M=3.87{\times}10^ {-16}(m/V)^2$ at 3.38 kHz and displays small hysteresis. The optical fiber sensor with the 3% La-doped PMN/PT exhibits minimum detectable field of 2.08(V/m)/ $\sqrt{Hz}$ and has a good linearity over the dynamic range 40 dB.

  • The temperature dependence of piezoelectric strain constant and the electric field induced strain are investigated as a function of PT in 0.5[xPT-(1-x)PZ]-0.5PNN ceramics. The piezoelectric strain constant d31 has the highest value(360$\times$10-12m/V) at PT=0.68. The temperature dependence of d31 is improved as Curie temperature of sample is increased, and the electric field dependence of induced strain is decreased with the coercive field increased. This ceramic system shows both piezoelectric effect and electrostrictive effect under the applied electric field. The piezoelectric of tetragonal phase is higher than that of rhombohedral phase, and the magnitude of electrostrictive constant is appeared in the order of morphotropic, rhombohedral and tetragonal phase. The piezoelectric strain constant with applied field must be considered theelectrostrictive effect due to 90$^{\circ}$domain wall displacements, and the displacement of bimorph type actuator agrees with the calulated value well.

  • (1-X)LTC-XHTC composites were manufactured with the variation of X in the range of 0.3 $\leq$X $\leq$0.6 and its dielectric properties were investigated. Here, LTC and HTC are PZN-BT-PT -based ceramics with quire temperature(Tc) of 100。 C-3$0^{\circ}C$, respectively. 0.6HTC-0.4LTC composite ceramics show excellent values of $\Delta$$\varepsilon$$_{r}$/$\varepsilon$[%] which were -7.1% at -2$0^{\circ}C$ and -12% at 5$0^{\circ}C$, respectively. It is thought that composite ceramics with above results can be applied to electrostrictive actuator, high voltage ceramic capacitor etc.mic capacitor etc.r etc.c.
