효과적 데이터처리를 위한 필드버스의 온라인 토큰제어 (On-line token control of fieldbus for effective data service)

  • Fieldbus system should be designed by considering the number of sensors/actors(actuators+ controllers) and their sampling times. But the number of sensors/actors and which are connected to the network bus can be varied by addition and/or fault of the field devices. That variation decreases the efficiency of system which is off-line designed optimally. This paper proposes an algorithm that ensures transmission of cyclic data even though there is the number change in the field devices. We assign the different weight values to cyclic data and acyclic data. By simulation and experiment, the cyclic and acyclic data are processed via the proposed network, and the results are compared with those of the Profibus system. It is shown that the proposed algorithm is more robust with the uncertainties of the field devices of the control system.

A Study on Tracking Control for Networked Multi-Motor Systems

  • In recent years, a lot of industrial equipments have serial communication channel such as FieldBus (CAN, Profibus, etc.) or Ethernet that provides real time communication between industrial equipments. Theses applications include gantry crane, robot, chip mounter, etc.. In this paper, we discuss the synchronization technique for networked multi-motor systems where controllers (commercial servo amps) are distributed and interconnected by CAN (Controller Area Networks). We first describe the equivalent model for the individual servo-amp and motor using the frequency response. We design the $H{\infty}$ controller for motion synchronization. Finally, the synchronization technique using the equivalent model and the $H{\infty}$ controller is verified by the simulation and the experiment.

  • 최근 산업용 내장형 소프트웨어는 높은 부가가치를 창출할 수 있는 분야로 각광을 받고 있다. 최근 산업용 기기의 하드웨어뿐 아니라 내장형 소프트웨어에 대한 품질 시험 및 인증을 위한 기반 연구가 활발히 수행되고 있다. 본 연구는 산업용 소프트웨어 국제표준 적합성 인증」사업 추진과 관련하여 산업용 소프트웨어의 통신 기능에 대한 성능 평가 시험을 위하여 다양한 통신 프로토콜을 지원하는 시뮬레이션 소프트웨어를 개발한 것이다 소프트웨어는 산업용 통신 프로토콜인 필드버스 방식(Profibus, DeviceNet, CAN, RS232C, RS485, RS422등) 및 이더넷 기반의 TCP/IP 프로토콜에 대한 통신 시뮬레이션 시험 기능을 가지고 있으며, 프로토콜별 패킷 프레임을 사용자가 임의적으로 설정할 수 있게 하여 다양한 통신환경에서의 시뮬레이션 시험을 지원하고 각 프로토콜은 단방향 및 양방향시험을 모두 지원한다. 본 논문에서는 프로토콜별 시험 항목 및 방법을 소개하고 시뮬레이선 시스템의 하드웨어와 소프트웨어 구성 및 운영환경을 기술하였다.

  • The real-time industrial network, often referred to as fieldbus, is an important element for building automated manufacturing systems. Thus, in order to satisfy the real time requirements of field devices such as sensors, actuators, and controllers, numerous standard organizations and vendors have developed various fieldbus protocols. As a result, IEC 61158 protocol including Profibus, WorldFIP, and Foundation Fieldbus is recently announced as an international standard. Many fieldbus protocols have an important advantage over the widely used protocols such as Ethernet (IEEE 802.3) in terms of the deterministic characteristics of the fieldbuses.   • Traditional control systems that consist of sensors, actuators and a controller centralized and connected with point-to-point links, have become distributed because of their performance limits and maintenance problems. Sensors and actuators are changed to smart devices having a processor and these devices and controllers are connected with fieldbuses such as Profibus, FIP, CAN, LonWorks and so on. Because they are distributed, it takes any delay to transmit data from sensor to controller and data from controller to actuator according to network characteristic.   • Device Description that is described as C-based DDL(Device Description Language) should be provided for the control system to use the progressive function of field device in the distributed control system. DD expresses field device function itself and parameter. DD is used to set a necessary function far a control strategy in the central control system. DD technology which was adopted as international standard IEC 61804-Part 2 is being used in PROFIBUS, Foundation Fieldbus and HART. However, the DD is dependent to the fieldbus and it doesn't have a suitable form in the industrial Ethernet. This paper presents the possibility of a change from EDD(Electronic Device Description) and GSD(General Slave Data) used for integrating field devices to XDD(XML for Device Description) and verifies it's effectiveness. Also, this paper presents research assignment on the XML application in the distributional system from now on by examining the possibility of Ethernet`s development in the industrial area.

  • The crane operates in three directions, hoisting, traversing, and travelling motion. In this study, an AC drive system for these motions of the crane is developed and tested. The command from an operator is transmitted to PLC, which sends data to a main controller by fieldbus protocols such as Profibus or Devicenet. And the main controller is connected to other auxiliary ones by CAN bus. The each controller, which has the same structure, regulates its motor speed from the operator's command.

  • 원자력 발전소의 원자로보호계통(Plant Protection Systems)은 그 특성상 안전성과 신뢰성을 중시하며, 매우 엄격한 설계 요건을 요구한다. 또한 원자로 보호계통에 사용되는 데이터 통신망은 최악의 예상된 조건에서도 신뢰할 수 있는 성능을 보여야 하며, 실증 시험을 통해 확인되어야 한다. 이러한 특성을 고려하여 국산화과제로 개발 중인 원자로보호계통의 데이터 통신망은, 개방형 통신 프로토콜인 프로피버스(Profibus)를 적용하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 적용된 통신 프로토콜인 Profibus에 대한 성능 모델을 제시하고, 제시된 성능 모델을 통해 데이터통신망이 결정론적(Deterministic) 요건을 만족한 수 있는 성능 특성을 분석하고자 한다. 이를 통해 Profibus를 적용한 데이터 통신망이 요구되는 성능, 신뢰성, 독립성 및 건전성 요건을 만족하도록 하기 위한 설계 요건을 제시하고자 한다.

  • The real-time industrial network often referred to as fieldbus, is an important element for building automated manufacturing systems. However, the application of fieldbus has been limited due to the high cost of hardware and the difficulty in interfacing with multi-vendor products. In order to solve these problems, the computer network technology, especially Ethernet (IEEE 802.3), is being adopted lo the industrial environment. The crucial technical obstacle for Ethernet is that its non-deterministic behavior makes it inadequate for industrial applications where real-time data such as control command and alarm signal hale to be delivered within a certain time limit. Recently, the development of switched Ethernet shows a very promising prospect for industrial application due to the elimination of uncertainties in the network operation resulting in much improved performance. This paper focuses on the application of the switched Ethernet for industrial comm unications.

UCA와 필드버스를 이용한 전력 설비 자동화 통신망 구축 방안 연구 (A Study on the Implementation of Automation Network for Power Utility using UCA and Fieldbus)

  • The UCA is a standard-based approach to utility communications which provides for wide scale integration of functional areas including customer interface, distribution, transmission, power plant, control center, and corporate information systems. Field devices in the power facilities require real-time communications, and they must be interconnected into fieldbus. This study introduces a method of implementing gateway that interfaces UCA and fieldbus. In this study, PROFIBUS and FOUNDATION Fieldbus are selected as candidate fieldbus protocols. Protocol interface in the gateway can be accomplished by mapping objects and services of UCA and fieldbus. MOst of the UCAs CASM objects and services are directly mapped into those of the application and user layers of fieldbus. However, some CASM services are not supported in the application and user layers of fieldbus. This study presents the method of implementing those services. In order to show that the implementation of interface is possible, this study presents pseudo-codes of interface program that maps the objects and services of UCA and fieldbus.
