This paper proposes an SS-PRMA protocol for the integrated voice and data services in the packet radio networks. In this protocol, the uplink logical channels are provided by combining the time slots and the spreding codes. SS-PRMA protocol contains some features of existing protocols such as PRMA, slotted ALOHA, and CDMA. In the proposed protocol, the voice terminals use a reservation mechanism, and the dta terminals use a slotted ALOHA scheme. The analysis and the simulation results show that most of the performances for the voice traffic can be achieved by employing a few distinct spreading codes and the data traffic throughput is closely related to the number of spreading code channels. Also it shows that the data traffic performance can be significantly improved by applying an FEC scheme to the data link layer.
In this paper, we propose a wireless MAC protocol named APRMA, which is capable of supporting the ABR type data service and Maximizing channel utilization. Data terminals with random data packets are not provided slot reservation with PRMA protocol. That is, slot reservation is applicable to the time constraint voice packet exclusively. But the reservation scheme have to be performed for loss sensitive data packet, and contended their quality of service, Therefore, in wireless MAC, reservation technique has to be used for both voice and data services. So the terminal which wants to request for ABR type service, is allocated a minimum bandwidth from system for the first time, If the system have some extra available bandwidth, ABR terminals would acquire additional bandwidth slot by slot, As a result, APRMA protocol can support the data service with loss sensitivity and maintain their channel utilization high.

In this paper we designed a high speed wireless multiple access protocol, which is suitable for future multimedia wireless LAN systems which support high quality video teleconferencing, telephony and graphic databases. In the proposed protocol, Slotted-ALOHA protocol is used for transmitting random data packets and the packet reservation multiple access(PRMA) protocol for transmitting periodic data packets. The use of minislot is introduced for the reservation scheme. In order to measure the performance characteristic of the proposed protocol, a simulator is designed using an object oriented programming language, C++, and an exhaustive simulation study is carried out. From the simulation results, it is observed that the proposed protocol and the existing PRMA protocol have almost the same delay characteristic when network traffic is low. However, the proposed protocol is superior to the PRMA protocol when traffic becomes higher. The proposed protocol and the results can be utilized for the design of the wireless access systems and future broadband wireless LANs.
This paper presents a terminal-assisted frame-based packet reservation multiple access (TAF-PRMA) protocol, which optimizes random access control between heterogeneous traffic aiming at more efficient voice/data integrated services in dynamic reservation TDMA-based broadband access networks. In order to achieve a differentiated quality-of-service (QoS) guarantee for individual service plus maximal system resource utilization, TAF-PRMA independently controls the random access parameters such as the lengths of the access regions dedicated to respective service traffic and the corresponding permission probabilities, on a frame-by-frame basis. In addition, we have adopted a terminal-assisted random access mechanism where the voice terminal readjusts a global permission probability from the central controller in order to handle the 'fair access' issue resulting from distributed queuing problems inherent in the access network. Our extensive simulation results indicate that TAF-PRMA achieves significant improvements in terms of voice capacity, delay, and fairness over most of the existing medium access control (MAC) schemes for integrated services.

During the last several years, the demand of mobile communication is increasing rapidly due to the convenience of usage. Therefore, the evoluation scenario toward the new cellular network is needed. In this paper, the future prospect of cellular network is considered, and movable-boundary TDMA/BTMA protocol is proposed as a new voice/data integrated multiple access protocol for the future cellular packet radio networks. Then, the performance of movable-bounary TDMA/BTMA protocol is analyzed and compared with that of PRMA protocol by computer simulation. In the proposed movable-boundary TDMA/BTMA protocol, the voice traffic sensitive to delay time is served by TDMA protocol and the data traffic sensitive to loss is served by BTMA protocol. Also, the boundary of voice and data can be moved adaptively by usign SYN character, control byte, voice call counter, ect. Therefore. it could be seen that the performance of movable-boundary TDMA/BTMA protocol is better than that of PRMA protocol with respect to delay and throughput.

The ultimate goal of preserving and maintaining the records is to use them practically. The effective use of records should be supported by the reasonable recordskeeping systems and access standards. In this report, I examined the Korean laws and administrative systems related to the public records access issues. After I pointed out major problems of the access laws, the Government Information Opening Act (GOIA), and the problems in practices, I suggested some alternatives for the betterment of the access system. The GIOA established "eight standards of exemption to access" not to open some information to protect national interests and privacy. The Public Records Management Act (PRMA) applies to the archives transferred to "professional archives." The two laws show fundamental differences in the ways to open the public records to public. First, the GIOA deals with the whole information (the records) that public institutions keep and maintain, while the PRMA deals with the records that were transferred to the Government Archives. Second, the GIOA provides with a legal procedure to open public records and the standards to open or not to open them, while the PRMA allows the Government Archives to decide whether the transferred records should be opened or not. Third, the GIOA applies to record producing agencies, while the PRMA applies to public archival institutions. One of the most critical inadequacies of the PRMA is that there are no standards to judge to open the archives through reclassification procedure. The GIOA also suggests only the type of information that is not accessible. It does not specify how long the records can be closed. The GARS does not include the records less than 30 years old as its objects of the reclassification. To facilitate the opening of the archives, we need to revise the GIOA and the PRMA. It is necessary to clearly divide the realms between the GIOA and the PRMA on the access of the archives. The PRMA should clarify the principles of the reclassification as well as reclassifying method and exceptions. The exemption standards of the GIOA should be revised to restrict the abuse of the exemption clauses, and they should not be applied to the archives in the GARS indiscreetly and unconditionally.
