다중열원 보조가공을 위한 평판 시편의 예열 효과에 관한 해석적 연구 (An Analytical Study on the Preheating Effect of Flat Workpiece in Thermally Assisted Machining by Multi Heat Sources)

  • Laser-assisted machining (LAM) is one of the most effective methods of processing difficult-to-cut materials, such as titanium alloys and various ceramics. However, it is associated with problems such as the inability of the laser heat source to generate an appropriate preheating temperature. To solve the problem, thermally assisted machining with multiple heat sources is proposed. In this study, thermal analysis of multiple heat sources by laser and arc is performed according to power, heat source size, and leading heat source position. Then, the results are analyzed according to each condition. The results of this analysis can be used as a reference to predict preheating temperature in thermally assisted machining with multiple heat sources.

Bio-drying 공법 활용 공기 투입 및 예열에 따른 음식물류 폐기물 분해 특성 평가 (Estimation of Characteristics Treatment for Food Waste with Blast Volume and Preheating of Air using Bio-Drying Process)

  • 수본 연구에서는 Bio-drying 공법 활용한 공기 송풍량 및 예열에 따른 음식물류 폐기물의 수분 및 유기물의 처리 효율에 대해 분석하였으며, 음식물류 폐기물 처리 시 온도, CO2의 평가를 통해 공기 송풍량 및 공기 예열이 Bio-drying 공법의 미치는 영향에 대해 평가하였다. 그 결과 공기 송풍량의 증가는 수분 제거율 및 제거 속도가 증가하는 결과를 미쳤지만, Bio-drying 내부 온도를 저하 시켜 미생물 활성도의 감소를 야기시켰다. 미생물의 활성도 유지를 위해서는 음식물류 폐기물의 성상에 따른 적정 공기 송풍량을 주입하는 것이 필요할 것으로 판단되었으며, 본 연구에서는 15L/min으로 주입하였을 때가 최적이었다. 공기 예열 유무에 따른 유기물 및 수분 제거율을 평가한 결과 공기 예열을 하였을 때가 하지 않았을 때에 비해 유기물 제거율 및 수분 제거율이 3~5% 가량 증가하는 결과를 보였다. 또한 Bio-drying 내부에 응축수 발생에 의한 내부 뭉침 현상도 발견되지 않았다. 따라서, 음식물류 폐기물의 효과적인 Bio-drying을 위해서는 미생물 활성도 유지를 위한 적정 송풍량을 유지 해야 하며, 공기 예열을 통한 주입이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

  • High-temperature Superconductor(HTS) tubes were fabricated in term of different processing variables such as preheating temperature, speed of mold rotation and cooling rate by centrifugal forming method. For powder melting by induction the optimum range of melting temperatures and preheating temperature were $1050^{\circ}C{\sim}1100^{\circ}C$ and $550^{\circ}C$ for 30min, respectively. The mould roating speed was 1000rpm. A tube was annealed at $840^{\circ}C$ for 72hours in oxygen atmosphere. The plate-like grains were well developed along the roating direction and typical grain size was about more than $40{\mu}m$. It was found that Ic values increased with increasing the preheating temperature and speed of mold rotation. While Ic decreased with increasing the cooling rate. The measured Ic in $50mm{\times}70mm{\times}2.5mm$ tube was about 896Amp.

  • Design analysis of the solid oxide fuel cell and gas turbine combined power system is performed considering different methods for preheating cell inlet air. The purpose of air preheating is to keep the temperature difference between cell inlet and outlet within a practical design range thus to reduce thermal stress inside the cell. Three different methods considered are (1) adopting a burner in front of the cell, (2) adopting a preheater (heat transfer from the main combustor) in front of the cell and (3) using recirculation of the cathode exit gas. For each configuration, analyses are carried out for two values of allowable maximum cell temperature difference. Performance characteristics of all cases are compared and design limitations are discussed. Relaxation of the cell temperature difference (larger difference) is proved to ensure higher efficiency. Recirculation of the cathode exit gas exhibits better performance than other methods and this advantage becomes more prominent as the constraint of the cell temperature difference becomes more severe (smaller temperature difference).

  • Silicon nitride is widely used as an engineering ceramics because it has high strength, abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance even at high temperature. However, machining of silicon nitride is difficult due to its high hardness and brittleness. Laser assisted machining(LAM) allows effective cutting using CBN tool by locally heating the cutting part to the softening temperature of YSiAlON using the laser beam. The effect of preheating depending on process parameters were studied to find out the oxidation mechanism. If silicon nitride is sufficiently preheated, the surface is oxidized and $N_2$ gas is formed and escapes from the material, thereby making the cutting process more advantageous. During laser preheating process before machining, high temperature results in strong oxidation which makes the bloating, silicate layers and micro cracks. Using the results of these experiments, preheating characteristics and oxidation behavior were found out.

Effects of the Preheating Treatments of Raw Ginseng in the Model System on the Synthesis of the Maillard Type-Browning Reaction Products of Red Ginseng

  • During our investigations on the relationship between the browning reaction of ginseng root and two compounds (arginyl-fructosyl-glucose and arginyl-fructose) in the model system of steaming and heat-drying processes for the preparation of red ginseng, the preheating treatment of main roots of raw ginseng at 60∼70$^{\circ}C$ prior to the steaming and heat-drying processes was found to bring about the gelatinization of starch granules. The enzymatic hydrolysis of gelatinized starch to maltose, a marked formation of maltose, and the increase of both free arginine and total amino acids, resulting the acceleration of the Maillard type-browning reaction of ginseng root during the steaming and heat-drying processes, and the rise of brown color intensity of red ginseng. These results show that the preheating treatment may be effective for the decrease of inside white of red ginseng.

  • This paper introduce the CFD analysis for predicting the heat transfer at the Ultrasonic horn. Approximately Ultrasonic horn separates two part. One is preheating part and the other is cooling part. Temperature of preheating part rise up by $260^{\circ}C$ that make it possible to attach a chip to a semiconductor. Also there is a piezo material in the cooling part. When piezo work, it generates heat of $100^{\circ}C$. It can stand by $150^{\circ}C$. But the high temperature conducted from the preheating part has a bad affect on the piezo. These situation make it necessary cooling at piezo. Previously except of the piezo, all of them are composed of the SUS440c that has good thermal conductivity. This study shows way that not only cooling the piezo but also cutting off the conduction between preheating part and cooling part by using the Ti and Duralumin that have low thermal conductivity compare with the SUS440c. Conclusion of CFD analysis that the heat coming from the piezo can't be transferred the horn cause of the Ti and Duralumin.
