Accumulation of pathogenic amyloid-β disrupts the tight junction of retinal pigment epithelium (RPE), one of its senescence-like structural alterations. In the clearance of amyloid-β, the autophagy-lysosome pathway plays the crucial role. In this context, mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) inhibits the process of autophagy and lysosomal degradation, acting as a potential therapeutic target for age-associated disorders. However, efficacy of targeting mTOR to treat age-related macular degeneration remains largely elusive. Here, we validated the therapeutic efficacy of the mTOR inhibitors, Torin and PP242, in clearing amyloid-β by inducing the autophagy-lysosome pathway in a mouse model with pathogenic amyloid-β with tight junction disruption of RPE, which is evident in dry age-related macular degeneration. High concentration of amyloid-β oligomers induced autophagy-lysosome pathway impairment accompanied by the accumulation of p62 and decreased lysosomal activity in RPE cells. However, Torin and PP242 treatment restored the lysosomal activity via activation of LAMP2 and facilitated the clearance of amyloid-β in vitro and in vivo. Furthermore, clearance of amyloid-β by Torin and PP242 ameliorated the tight junction disruption of RPE in vivo. Overall, our findings suggest mTOR inhibition as a new therapeutic strategy for the restoration of tight junctions in age-related macular degeneration.

섬유 패턴 디자인의 감성 예측 모형을 개발하기 위한 전 단계로서 패턴 디자인 요소의 분석체계 개발 가능성을 이론적으로 검증하였다. 먼저 패턴 디자인의 최소 단위를 pattern primitive, 최소반복단위를 Repeated Pattern Unit로 개념화 한 후 'PP들의', 'RPU의',그리고 'RPU간의 특징'이라는 세개 영역에 걸쳐 24개의 지각적 특징들을 추출하였다. 24개의 지각적 특징들은 예비조사를 통해 섬유패턴 디자인을 충실히 기술할 수 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 추출된 지각적 특징들을 'PP의 모양에 의한 돌출성', 'PP의 색채에 의한 돌출성', 'PP들 모양의 다양성','PP들의 변화도', 'PP들 색채의 다양성', 'PRU의 돌출정도', 'PRU의 다양성'이라는 4개의 최상위 특징으로 수렴시키는 방식으로 위계화 하였다.

The prognosis of patients with VSD and pulmonary hypertension is at least partially related to the reversibility of pulmonary hypertension after surgery. To predict postoperative pulmonary arterial pressure, immediate postbypass values were compared with preoperative hemodynamic data in 18 surgically closed VSD patients aged 6 to 80 months. The following results were obtained. 2] There was a good correlation between preoperative PP/PS and postoperative PP/PS in patients aged over 24 months [r=0.685, p<0.05], and in patients whose QP/QS were over 2.0 [r=0.686, p<0.01]. 3] There was also a good correlation between pump time and postoperative PP in total patients [r=0.697, p<0.005]. 4] Direct correlations were found between preoperative PP/PS and immediate postbypass PP/PS in patients aged over 24 months and in patients whose QP/QS>2.0, but the effect of CPB would participate in some degree. So it may be necessary to reevaluate their relationship after the effect of CPB have been disappeared.

Silver has antibacterial property on bacteria of about 650 kinds and has been well known as non-toxic and non-tolerance in natural state. Recently, silver has been applied disinfection and antibacterial property to everyday life as health foods, filter, and exclusion of pollution. Nano-sized silver particle have very small size (〈10nm) and wide surface area per unit volume. This study was carried out to find the difference between the naturaly born sex rtio among 1,242 head of pigs(120 litters) at Swine Farm, Cheil Sugar Co. and B-body a, pp.arance from their semen, and to find the conception rates which were inseminated to 40 sows with sperm from the anode and cathode after electrophoresis of boar semen. In order to the electrophoretic separation, the semen was placed into the platimum loop electrodes(105 cc) at room temperature for 30 minutes with D.C. 3V. and 350${\mu}$A. constant. The sperm fluorescent staining method was performed in accordance with Bhattacharya's(1970) method. The spermatozoa were observed through a Olympus Vanox microscope(made in Japan) using exciter filter with I heat barrier HPO 120. The results obtained were summarized as follows: 1. The natural sex ratio of 1,242 piglets(120 litters) which were born at Swine Farm, Cheil Sugar Co. was 50%, and B-body a, pp.arance of its boar semen were 49.24%. 2. With electrophoretic separation, the anode and cathode attracted 65.5${\pm}$5.03% and 29.89${\pm}$4.29% of B-body bearing sperm, respectively. 3. After electrophoresis of boar sperm, they were inseminated to 40 sows with sperm from anode and cathode. The conception rate was 92.5%.

전자선 전조사법을 이용하여 아크릴로니트릴 (AN)과 스티렌 (Sty)을 PP섬유에 그라프트반응시컨 PP-g-(AN/Sty) 공중합체를 합성하고, 이어서 아미드옥심화 및 인산화 반응을 수행하였다. 공단량체 중 AN의 양이 증가할수록 공중합체 내의 AN의 몰분율은 선형적으로 증가하였으며 공중합체 내에 그라프트 되어진 AN의 양은 공단량체 중 AN의 조성이 40 vol%에서 최대 45%를 나타내었다. 용매인 메탄올의 양이 증가함에 따라 공중합체 내에 도입되어진 AN의 몰분율은 감소하였다 반응온도에 따른 공중합체의 그라프트율은 반응온도 5$0^{\circ}C$까지 선형적으로 증가하였으며 이후 평형에 도달하였다. 이온 교환 섬유에 도입되어진 아미드옥심기는 하이드록실아민의 양이 증가함에 따라 증가하였으며 하이드록실아민 농도 9 wt%에서 최대 5.8 mmol/g을 나타내었다. 공중합체에 도입되어진 인산기는 인산의 농도가 0.5 N까지 증가하는 경향을 나타내었으며 이후 감소하였다. 우라늄 흡착 실험 결과, 우라늄 흡착량은 이관능성 이온 교환 섬유가 아미드옥심화 이온 교환체 및 인산화 이온 교환체보다 우수한 흡착량을 나타내었다.

Let $k = Q(\sqrt{m})$ be a real quadratic field. In this paper, the following theorems on p-divisibility of the class number h of k are studied for each prime pp. Theorem 1. If the discriminant of k has at least three distinct prime divisors, then 2 divides h. Theorem 2. If an odd prime p divides h, then p divides $B_{a,\chi\omega^{-1}}$, where $\chi$ is the nontrivial character of k, and $\omega$ is the Teichmuller character for pp. Theorem 3. Let $h_n$ be the class number of $k_n$, the nth layer of the $Z_p$-extension $k_\infty$ of k. If p does not divide $B_{a,\chi\omega^{-1}}$, then $p \notmid h_n$ for all $n \geq 0$.

본 연구에서는 유리섬유/폴리프로필렌 기반의 열가소성 복합재의 열성형 시험 평가를 위해, 성형온도에서의 인장 및 면내 전단 물성 시험을 실시하였고, 이를 비직교 구성방정식을 이용하여 정량화 하였다. 이를 통해 실험값과 잘 일치하는 고온에서의 인장 및 전단 물성값을 수식화하여 얻을 수 있었다. 열성형 시험을 위해 반구돔 시험을 실시하였고, 이형제 사용 유무 및 홀더의 무게를 달리해가며 성형품의 최종형상을 비교하였다. 그 결과 이형제를 사용하면 성형품의 대칭성이 확보되고 주름 개선 효과에 유리하다는 것을 확인하였고, 적당한 힘의 홀딩력 제어가 필수적이라는 것을 알 수 있었다. 더 나아가 비직교 구성방정식이 고려된 열성형 수치해석을 실시하여 실험 결과와 유사한 양상을 확인할 수 있었고, 홀딩력이 낮을 수록 주름이 많아지고, 마찰력이 클수록 더 많은 펀치력을 필요로 함을 확인하였다.

Our objectives in this experiment were to study the effects of oils that are high in contents of unsaturated fatty acids (olive, flaxseed, and perilla oils) and pyroligneous liquor on plasma lipid concentrations in mice. Male ICR-mouse (n=10 per group) were fed powdered form diets containing oil and pyroligneous liquor for 60 days. The cholesterol level of the PP group ($96.71{\pm}25.75$ $mg/d{\ell}$) was lower than that of the COW group ($133.56{\pm}21.53$ $mg/d{\ell}$). Levels of triglyceride of COP, CFP, and CPP groups were $121.10{\pm}50.79$ $mg/d{\ell}$, $77.80{\pm}38.58$ $mg/d{\ell}$, and $92.40{\pm}33.04$ $mg/d{\ell}$, respectively (p<0.05). The dietary addition of olive oil increased the plasma lsevels of cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol. On the other hand, the dietary addition of flaxseed oil and pyroligneous liquor increased the plasma level of HDL-cholesterol and decreased the plasma levels of LDL-cholesterol and triglyceride compared with those of the control group. Further, the dietary addition of perilla oil decreased plasma triglyceride but increased HDL-cholesterol. The decrease in the cholesterol level was much higher in the CFP group. In conclusion, the dietary addition of long-term pyroligneous liquor effectively decreased the plasma levels of cholesterol and triglyceride and increased the plasma level of HDL-cholesterol. The additional dietary administration of flaxseed and perilla oils increased the effect of pyroligneous liquor.
