SEBIM POSRV를 이용한 원자로 냉각재계통의 과압보호 해석 (RCS Overpressure Protection Analysis Using SEBIM POSRV)

  • 가압경수로의 과압보호계통은 가장 심각한 비정상 과도운전시 원자로냉각재계통의 압력을 설계압력의 110% 이내로 유지시킬 수 있는 충분한 용량으로 설계되어져야 한다. 본 연구에서는 ABB-CE 설계의 2825 MWt 가압경수로에 기존의 스프링 탑재형 가압기 안전밸브 대신 SEBIM-POSRV를 채택할 경우 과압보호 기능 수행의 가능성을 연구하였다. 과압보호 기능을 수행하기 위한 SEBIM POSRV의 크기 및 작동 설정치를 영광 3, 4호기의 과압보호 해석에 사용했던 LTC 전산코드를 이용한 분석을 통해서 결정했다. 분석 결과 monobloc SEBIM POSRV를 이용한 과압보호계통은 원자로냉각재계통의 압력을 설계 압력의 110% 이내로 유지시킴으로써 ABB-CE 형태의 2825 MWt급 가압경수로에서 과압보호 기능을 수행할 수 있음이 입증되었다.

다양한 Plasma 처리 방법에 의존하는 PDP Panel 내 MgO Layer의 Outgassing 특성에 관한 연구

  • MgO layer는 POP 패빌 내 유전증을 이온의 스퍼터링으로부터 보호하여 주며, 또한 높은 이차 전자 밤출 계수의 특성을 가지고 있어 구동 및 유지 전압을 낮춰 주는 역할을 한다. 그러나. MgO layer는 $H_20,{\;}CO_2,{\;}N_2,{\;}0_2$ 그리고 $H_2$와 같은 불순물 들을 쉽게 를착하는 단점이 있어, PDP의 특성 및 수명 단축에 영향을 줄 수 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 atmospheric pressure plasma cleaning 과 low pressure i inductively coupled plasma (ICP) cleaning 처리에 의하여, 보호층으로 사용이 되는 MgO layer의 outgassing 특성을 조사하고자 한다. plasma cleaning에 의한 MgO layer 표면의 roughness와 불순물의 변화를 알아보기 위 하여 atomic force microscopy(AFM)과 x-ray p photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)를 이용하여 측정 하였다. 또한, outgassing의 특성을 분석하기 위하여 MgO layer를 $400^{\circ}C$ 까지 온도를 가하여 온도에 따른 outgassing의 특성을 quadrupole mass spectrometer(QMS)를 이용하여 알아보았다. atmospheric pressure plasma cleaning 에서는 $He/O_2/Ar/N_2$의 gas를 사용하였으며, low pressure ICP cleaning 에 서는 Ar의 gas를 사용하였다. atmospheric pressure plasma cleaning는 low pressure ICP C cleaning과 비교해 더 낮은 outgassing을 관잘 할 수 있었으나. MgO 표면의 roughness는 low pressure ICP cleaning 후 더 낮은 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 $He/O_2/Ar/N_2$의 gas를 사용 한 atmospheric pressure plasma cleaning 과 $Ar/O_2$의 gas를 사용한 ICP cleaning에서 이 차전자방출계수(SEEC)가 약 1.5~2.5배 증가된 것을 알 수 있었다.

노래 사용의 가능성과 효과: EFL 대학생 사례연구 (A Study on the Feasibility and Effectiveness Using Songs: A Case Study of EFL College Students)

  • This paper is concerned with the effectiveness of songs in the acquisition of formulaic sequences in the college EFL classroom. The existing research mentions the use of songs in terms of the power of their melodies (Fonseca-Mora, 2000), linguistic features in song lyrics (Abbott, 2002), and the emotional basis of memory (LI & Brand, 2009). Learners' opinions about the use of songs has been ignored, however. In this paper, seven subjects with English ability ranging from advanced (one) intermediate-high (three), intermediate-middle (two), and intermediate-low (one) studied five different pop songs. The results showed that they did not agree with the existing research findings. Rather, they were negative about using songs in the classroom. Their complaints were the burden of using too many hours to memorize lyrics, few language expressions to learn, and too much emphasis on expressions about love and feelings. Students at all levels expressed similar negativity about the use of songs. When their complaints were discussed during interviews, however, their attitude changed from negative to positive. The case study in this paper was on a small-scale but it is suggested that through further research the use of songs could be activated in the EFL classroom. Considering college language learners disregard most existing EFL materials, it appears to be worthwhile to continue further with this kind of research.

국어 로마자 표기 자동 변환 시스템 설계 및 구현 (The design and implementation of automatic translation system for hangul's romanization)

  • 본 연구는 ASCII 코드중에서 잘 쓰이지 않는 코드를 반달점(ˇ)으로 할당, 글꼴을 제작하여, 사용자가 국어 로마자 표기법 기본원칙을 모르더라도 한글단어, 문장, 문서를 문자열(string)로 입력받아 알고리즘화된 음운법칙을 적용하여 소리글자로 자동 변환 후 현행 정부 표준안인 국어 로마자 표기법 테이블에서 대응 글자를 참조하여 기계화 코드 변환이 가능토록 설계하였으며, 예외어 처리, 화면색상 및 풀다운 팝업 메뉴 방식을 지원, 마우스 활용 방식을 채택, 사용자 편리성을 제공하였으며, 다양한 서체, 글꼴 확대 및 축소, 이단ㆍ혼합 인쇄기능 등을 고려 C언어를 이용하여 구현하였다.

New Zealand National Brand expressed in Fashion Design

  • This study looked at how New Zealand's national brand is expressed in fashion design. In other words, the objective of this study was to offer a research methodology about the process that the conceptual national brand materializes through design. The method used in this research was the review of previous literature and research reports for New Zealand national branding. A direct market survey on the characteristics of fashion brands in each travel destination was conducted from February 2017 to February 2018. New Zealand announced its slogan for the national brand '100% pure New Zealand' in 1999, and in 2003 it announced the slogan 'new thinking New Zealand' with the value of 'newness' and 'innovation'. It also has 'Maori branding'. The study found that the three slogans had a consistent link from keywords to associated visual images. The above results were compared to the reminiscent visual images extracted from the website contents of the fashion brand. Then, using a t-shirt as an item, the t-shirt corresponding to each group was classified, and the design element analyzed. As a result, the four groups showed images of 'New Zealand ecology image', 'ethnic & Kiwiana image', 'nostalgic travel image' and 'pop image'.

인공지능 기반 작곡 프로그램 현황 및 제언 (Artificial Intelligence Applications to Music Composition)

  • 본 연구는 인공지능 기반 작곡 프로그램 현황을 살펴보고 실정을 고려한 제언을 제공하고자 한다. 인공지능 기반 작곡 프로그램은 기존의 '전문가 시스템' 방식의 알고리즘을 벗어나 심층신경망 이론의 발전 및 빅데이터 처리 기술 향상과 더불어 눈부신 성장을 보이고 있다. 이에 따라 클래식 음악과, 팝음악을 작곡하는데 있어 인공지능 기반 작곡 프로그램이 학계와 산업계에서 다양하게 제안되고 있으며, 최근 수년 사이 대중의 평가도 달라지고 있다. 다만 해당 기술 개발과 관련하여 여전한 한계점들이 분명히 존재하는 바, 대중의 인식 문제, 데이터베이스화되지 않은 가치 있는 사료들의 누락, 관련 법규의 미비, 음악적인 부분보다는 기술적 관점에서 해당 산업이 주도되는 점 등을 개선할 필요가 있겠다. 이 같은 점이 보완된다면, 인공지능 기반 기술은 국가 경쟁력 확보와 유지에 있어 중요한 역할을 해낼 것으로 보인다.

A Rusty but Provocative Knife? The Rationale behind China's Sanction Usage

  • China has initiated a series of "economic sanctions" against South Korea, affecting Korean pop stars visiting China and Korean investments in China. Sanctions were imposed on South Korea in response to the decision of South Korea to deploy Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) in 2016. Furthermore, the Global Daily assembled local population to boycott Korean products and investments in China. However, the Chinese Foreign Ministry has never positively confirmed these activities as economic sanctions to South Korea related to the THAAD installation. In other words, the Chinese government singled a relatively weak message via these sanctions to South Korea. As a result, the THADD implementation continued in South Korea. In the paper, I interpret China's rationale to impost puzzling economic sanctions, which have a weak resolution, to South Korea and Taiwan. As signaling theory argues, economic sanctions with insufficient resolution, which are more likely to fail, is a more provocative foreign policy. By reviewing China's sanctions usage to South Korea and Taiwan, I propose arguments of bureaucratic competition to answer why China launched such sanctions to other countries: those are caused by domestic institutions who are seeking reward from the Communist Party of China. By comparing shifts of leadership between domestic agencies, the paper provides evidence to support the proposed argument. I also include two alternative explanations to strengthen the proposed argument, albeit connecting the paper with other two larger streams of research, which address analyses of China's aggressive foreign policies as well as the domestic politics of economic sanctions.

Multi-color Light Curves of the Distant Dwarf Nova KSP-OT-201611a Discovered by the KMTNet Supernova Program

  • We present multi-color, high-cadence photometric study of a distant SU UMa-type dwarf nova KSP-OT-201611a discovered by the Korea Microlensing Telescope Network (KMTNet) Supernova Program (KSP). From October 2016 to May 2017, two outbursts with an interval of approximately 90 days were detected in the BV I-bands. The shapes and amplitudes of the outbursts reveal the nature of KSP-OT-201611a to be a SU UMa-type dwarf nova of outside-in origin with a superhump and an inferred orbital period of 1.69 h. The two observed bursts show a distinctively different color evolutions during the bursts due most likely to the viscosity different in accretion disk between them. The observed quiescent magnitudes and properties of the source during the outbursts indicate that it is at a large distance (~7.3 kpc) and height (~1.7 kpc) from the Galactic disk, possibly belonging to the group of poorly-studied Population II dwarf novae. The continuous monitoring of this source may offer a rare opportunity to study a PopII dwarf nova.

다변수 함수를 이용한 형상 변화에 따른 리프팅 러그의 최적 설계에 관한 연구 (Lifting Lug by the Change of form Using Multivariate Functions: An Optimal Design Study)

  • In this paper, we proposed an optimal design for determining the shape of a lifting lug freely by applying a multivariate function to the D-type lug, which is commonly used in shipyards. We derived the optimal aspect ratio of the lug through structural analysis and analyzed the safety and behavior of the lug aspect ratio. As a result, two types of final candidates, both lighter than the existing lug weight, were suitable for the ratio. They were found to have the greatest force at an angle of 45 degrees when a load of 100 tons was imposed. When the horizontal and vertical feature ratio of the lug was 1:3, it showed excellent results in terms of safety rates while maintaining weight reduction and functional aspects.

  • Currently, the Korean wave is not limited to popular culture, but has a significant impact not only on Korea's national image but also on the improvement of Korean companies' products and image of Korea. In this study, using Textom to confirm the change in foreign tourists' image of Korea, the data collection period was 1 year of 2020, when COVID 19 occurred, as a collection period for "Korea and foreigner" and related key words, each Hallyu content, and ranked in the top 80 keywords were derived. Centrality analysis for semantic network visualization was performed using UCINET6, and through CONCOR analysis, 7 groups 'K-Quarantine ', 'K-Drama', 'K-Movie', 'K-Beauty', 'K-Shopping', It was clustered into 'K-Tech' and 'K-Pop'. As a result of the analysis, the image of Korea abroad generally recognized the Korean Wave as cultural content, but after the outbreak of COVID 19, it is judged that it has been recognized as a country with a successful case of K-Quarantine.
