A new Instantaneous Torque Control of PM Synchronous Motor for High Performance Direct Drive Systems

  • A new instantaneous torque control technique is presented for a high performance control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor. Using the model reference adaptive system technique, the linkage flux of the motor is estimated and the torque is instantaneously controlled by the proposed torque controller combining with a variable structure control and space vector PWM. The proposed torque control provides the advantage of reducing the torque pulsation caused by the flux harmonics. This control strategy is applied to the high torque PM synchronous motor drives for direct drive systems and is implemented by using a software of the DSP TMS320C30. The experiments are carried out for this system and the results well demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control.

모터 운전 주파수에 동기화된 차단주파수를 갖는 HPF(High pass filter)를 적용한 영구자석 동기전동기의 자속기반 센서리스 제어의 추정 자속 DC offset 제거 기법 (Eliminating Method of Estimated Magnetic Flux Offset in Flux based Sensorless Control of PM Synchronous Motor using High Pass filter with Variable Cutoff Frequency)

  • 영구자석동기전동기의 쇄교자속 기반 센서리스 제어는 저속에서 위치추정 특성이 우수 하지만 계측된 전류가 ADC를 통해 변환되는 과정에서 발생한 DC offset에 의하여 쇄교자속 추정기의 적분기가 포화되는 문제점을 가지고 있습니다. 이러한 현상을 방지하기 위해 낮은 차단주파수를 갖는 HPF를 사용하여 DC offset 성분을 제거하는 방법이 사용되나, HPF의 낮은 차단주파수로 인해 고속에서 추정 성능이 저하되는 문제점이 있다. 반면 HPF의 차단 주파수를 높이게 되면, 저속에서 위상 앞섬 및 초기기동 실패의 문제가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 HPF의 차단주파수를 영구자석동기전동기의 운전주파수에 동기화함으로써 낮은 속도에서는 HPF의 차단주파수를 낮게 하여 HPF에 의한 위상 앞섬을 줄이고, 높은 속도에서는 HPF의 차단주파수를 높게 함으로써 높은 DC offset 제거 성능을 통해 운전영역을 200% 확대한다. 또한, 추가적인 위상 보상 알고리즘을 통해 전 운전영역에서 HPF의 위상 앞섬이 1.5도 미만으로 감소되는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 센서리스 제어 알고리즘은 세탁기용 영구자석동기전동기를 이용한 실험을 통해 검증한다.

  • 본 논문은 직접토크제어(Direct torque control, DTC)를 사용한 릴럭턴스 동기전동기(Reluctance synchronous motor, RSM)의 위치센서 없는 모션제어 시스템을 제안한다. 고성능 효율제어를 수행하는데 있어서 DTC를 이용한 릴럭턴스 전동기 드라이브는 고정자 쇄교자속의 포화와 부하전류에 따라 비선형적으로 변하는 인덕턴스로 인해 여러 가지 문제점들이 발생한다. 이러한 이유로 본 논문에서는 정확한 고정자 쇄교자속과 토크를 계산하기 위해서 자속관측기의 $L_d\;와\; L_q$값을 회전자 위치와 고정자 전류에 대해 보상하였으며, 빠른 토크 응답특성과 최적 효율특성을 얻기 위해서 기준자속을 부하에 따라 계산하였다. 제안된 알고리즘의 정당성을 확인하기 위해서 1.0[kW] 릴럭턴스 동기 전동기를 사용하여 $\pm$20[rpm]과 $\pm$1500[rpm]에서 실험을 수행하였고, 실험을 수행한 결과 저속영역과 고속영역 모두 우수한 동특성과 향상된 효율을 얻을 수 있었다.

무철심 영구자석 직류 모터를 이용한 진동자 개발 (Development of Vibration Motor Using Coreless Permanent Magnet DC Motor)

  • With a remarkable expansion of communication industry, a pager or a cellular phone becomes a necessary communication device in modern society. However, a paging signal by a buzzer is often acted as an unpleasant noise in some places, thus necessitating a paging signal by a vibration motor. In this paper, a simpler type of a vibration motor, a coreless permanent magnet(PM) DC motor, is considered to substitute for the conventional vibration motors. Using an analytical method, electromagnetic field and operating torque were calculated for the given inner and outer PM type motors, and the results were confirmed by FEM analysis. As design parameters, number of PM poles, PM radial thickness, coil arc angle and number of winding stacks were chosen for sensitivity analysis. It shows that coil arc angle is the most important design parameter to increase the motor performance, without giving an adverse effect on motor weight, size and manufacturing cost. Based on the analysis of the outer PM type motor, an outer square PM type motor is proposed as the final design. Compared to the outer PM type, outer square type provides more flexibility to attach to the small size cellular phones. With the optimum design of square outer PM DC motor, it can successfully substitute the conventional types with less expensive manufacturing cost. better performance and smaller necessary space.

  • This paper proposes a finite element method (FEM)-based model of an interior permanent magnet (IPM) type BLDC motor having stator inter-turn faults. For more realistic simulation studies, the magnetic non-linearity is also considered in proposed model. And the simulation data are verified through experiment. By integrating the developed model with a current-controlled voltage source inverter (CCVSI) model, the characteristics of an inter-turn fault operated by six-switched inverter are investigated considering the speed control. And the circulating current, which is induced by magnetic linkage flux originated from PM, was analyzed from the view point of distortion of air-gap magnetic flux distribution caused deterioration of their torque.

  • An adaptive feedback linearization technique of a PM synchronous motor with specified output dynamic performance is proposed. The adaptive parameter estimation is achieved by a model reference adaptive technique where the stator resistance and flux linkage can be estimated with the current dynamic model and the state observer. Using these estimated parameters, the linearizing control inputs are calculated and a nonlinear coupled model of a PM synchronous motor is input-output linearized. The resultant model has the load torque disturbance. To get ti perfect decoupled model, the load torque is estimated. The adaptation laws are derived by the hyperstability theory and positivity concept. The robustness of the proposed control scheme will be proven through the computer simulations.

  • The Slotless Permanet-magnet linear synchronous motors (PMLSM) have been developed for factory automation, transportation applications, wafer steppers, conveyance system, and so on[1]. The current analysis and design are treated in air-cored PMLSM. The main purpose of this paper is to provide a general design and analysis framework for the iron-cored linear permanent-magnet machines. Based on field solution using two dimensional analytical technique the magnetic field required magnet volume size, optimal winding thickness size, winding flux linkage and thrust will be discussed.

  • In this paper, the characteristic of slotless permanent magnet brushless motors analyze and compare parallel with radial way. This paper derive magnetic field solutions due to the PM. Torque, flux linkage and back emf are then derived. The results are shown in good conformity with those obtained from the commonly used finite element analysis.
