Telemedicine uses common technologies that provide a conduit for information exchange between physicians nurses and patients. In addition to patient records, medical professionals can obtain vital signs and other reference data through telemedicine applications. also, recent advancement in RF technology and wireless communications has enabled the development of Ubiquitous networks. Mobile telemedicine involves more than just communicating via mobile phone of PDA that sends and receives medical data on Portable Internet. this paper describes the design of a mobile telemedicine PDA prototype based on Embedded Linux that can be used to monitor the medical information using a single board computer(SBC). This system would be very useful for patients with chronic illness, especially in an emergent environment, and for containing medical cost in the aged society.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a home care nursing network system for operating home care effectively and efficiently by utilizing a wire-wireless network and mobile computing in order to record and send patients' data in real time, and by combining the headquarter office and the local offices with home care nurses over the Internet. It complements the preceding research from 1999 by adding home care nursing standard guidelines and upgrading the PDA program. Method: Method/l and Prototyping were adopted to develop the main network system. Result: The detailed research process is as follows: 1 )home care nursing standard guidelines for Diabetes, cancer and peritoneal-dialysis were added in 12 domains of nursing problem fields with nursing assessment/intervention algorithms. 2) complementing the PDA program was done by omitting and integrating the home care nursing algorhythm path which is unnecessary and duplicated. Also, upgrading the PDA system was done by utilizing the machinery and tools where the PDA and the data transmission modem are integrated, CDMX-1X base construction, in order to reduce a transmission error or transmission failure.

유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경은 기존의 통신, 네트워크를 포함하여 단순히 어떤 기능을 추가하는 것에서 한걸음 더 나아가 우리가 흔히 주변에서 접하게 되는 자동차, 냉장고, 휴대폰, 및 PDA 등과 같이 다양한 형태의 기기에 컴퓨터 환경을 접목 시킴으로써 다양한 디지털 커뮤니케이션이 가능토록 해 주는 정보기술의 패러다임을 뜻한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 유비쿼터스 환경에서 블루투스 기반 PDA 를 이용하여 사용자가 집 또는 사무실 등에서 비디오 등의 멀티미디어 컨텐츠를 보고 있다가 사용자가 다른 장소로 이동한 후에 이동한 곳에서도 전에 제공받고 있던 멀티디미어 컨텐츠들을 계속 보고자 할 경우 이동한 곳의 시스템 자원을 활용하여 이동 전에 보고 있던 컨텐츠를 간단한 조작을 통해 계속해서 볼 수 있게 하는 시스템을 제안한다.

This study assessed and analysed a result of a product design experiment through Product Data Analytics (PDA), to find reasons for failure of some projects in the experiment. PDA is a computer-based data analysis that uses Product Data Management (PDM) databases as its operational databases. The study examines 20 product design projects in the experiment, which are prepared to follow same product development process by using an identical PDM system. The design result in the PDM database is assessed and analysed by On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) and data mining tools in PDA. The assesment and analysis reveals the lateness in creation of 3D CAD models as the main reason of the failure.

The rapid exchanges of mobile computing environment and development of wireless communication are providing many effects for learning activity of students. Recently, PDA system developers which are studying memory capacity, communication speed and size of screen support techniques to be capable of learning from students in the wireless or moving environment. In this viewpoints, this paper has a purpose to design multimedia learning system to be able to do with sound lecture contents. The implemented system largely consists of two parts which have the teacher module and students module. The one manages learning progress of students, class management, bulletin board and etc. The other is capable of using studying and bulletin functions. The main idea of this research is focus to upgrade the effect of learning without almost treating the existing studies, which can be listening sound lecture and also seeing text and image at the same time.

사회가 풍요롭고 생활수준이 높아짐에 따라 사람들은 자신의 건강상태에 신경을 많이 쓰고 있다. 또한 유비쿼터스 시대가 시작되면서 언제 어디서든 간단하고 편하게 건강 상태를 체크할 수 있는 시스템이 필요하게 되었다. 이 시스템은 일상생활에서 시간과 장소의 제약 없이 개인이 자신의 심박변이도 상태를 체크 할 수 있다. 보통 큰 병원에서나 사용 해야만 했던 부담감 대신 항상 스스로 자신의 건강상태를 확인하여 그 결과에 따라 맞게 대처 할 수 있다. 브레드 보드와 마이컴을 이용하여 SPO2 센서를 통해 들어온 신호를 PDA로 전송하고, 측정된 HRV(Heart Rate Variability : 심박변이도) 신호를 임베디드 시스템을 이용하여 PDA의 화면에 그래프로 나타내는 GUI 환경의 시스템이다.

최근 들어 핸드폰이나 PDA 등 휴대용 단말기의 보급이 급격히 늘면서 이를 통한 미디어 감상의 수요가 많이 증가하였다. 또한, 멀티미디어 기술의 발전 방향도 기존의 단방향 서비스를 벗어나 사용자의 기호에 따라 스토리를 전개해나가는 인터렉티브 미디어에 이르렀다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 본 연구팀이 기존에 진행했던 연구에 이어서 이러한 인터렉티브 미디어를 지원하기 위한 전체 시스템을 설계하였고 이를 PDA 상에 구현하였다. 이때 비디오 코덱으로는 JVT(H.264)를 사용하였으며 컨텐츠제작을 위한 마크업 언어는 자체 정의한 IML(Interactive Media Language)를 사용하였다. 또한, 본 논문에서는 이러한 구현 과정에서 이동 단말기들이 공통적으로 가지는 취약점인 CPU, 메모리 등의 한계를 극복하기 위한 방안도 살펴보았다.

빨라진 프로세서와 충분한 메모리로 인하여 MPEG-1 MPEG-4 등의 동영상 표준을 기반으로 한 컨텐츠를 PDA 와 같은 모바일 단말기에서 단순히 플레이 시키는 일은 더 이상 문제가 되지 않는다. 이제는 사용자가 자신의 단말기에서 미디어를 감상하는 차원을 넘어서 사용자가 참여 할 수 있는 다양한 컨텐츠를 원한다. 이에 이 논문에서는 SMIL2.0 을 기반으로 하는 대화형 멀티미디어 언어를 연구하고, 여기에 벡터 그래픽스(Vector Graphics)를 추가 시켰다. 또한, 트랜스래이터(Translator)를 구현하여 markup language 를 바이너리 포맷(Binary format)으로 변환시킴으로써 좀 더 모바일 환경에 적합하도록 하였다. 본 논문에서 연구한 대화형 멀티 미디어 언어를 이용하여 대화형 미디어 컨텐츠를 제작하고 자체적으로 제작한 PDA 용 통합 미디어 플레이어에서 재생시킴으로써 대화형 멀티미디어 언어를 이용한 무선 환경에서 다양한 서비스의 가능성을 제시하여 준다.

Recently, as the result of high technology of computer environments. various types of computer applications have been researched and developed. Ana, because of the growth of the mobile device such as PDA, HPC, and location tracking technology such as GPS, various services that is based on personal locations are provided. For these Mobile GIS, there is needed a development of client for Mobile GIS that is considered about the characteristics of mobile device. So, we design and implement client interface for Mobile GIS in this paper.

개인의 사생활 침해와 함께 안전을 위해 모니터링 시스템에 대한 관심이 높아져가고 있다. 본 연구에서는 인터넷을 통해서 PC나 PDA로 모니터링 할 수 있는 기술을 연구하였다. 마이크가 내장된 USB 카메라로 촬영한 영상과 음성 데이터를 H.263의 Moltiplex를 통해서 인터넷을 통해 PC나 PDA로 전송하는 웹 카메라 기반 홈서버용 모니터링 시스템으로 각 장치들의 동작 처리부를 일관된 구동 모듈로 통일하고, 관리자에게 일관된 구동 모듈을 제공하여 시스템의 운용과 관리에 있어서 편리함을 제공하였다.
