Due to the fast development in information technology, mobile devices such as cellular phone and PDA are increasingly being used in information transmission. Also in GIS area, have many attempts been introduced for communicating geographic information. However, one of the problems found in current applications is that each of them is developed for a specific platform. A solution to this problem is sought using the XML, which is designed to transfer structured information through the Web regardless of any platform. GML is based on XML technology and is platform-free document for geographic feature. GML can be visualized using client plug-in's such as SVG. This study suggests a framework for developing a mobile-GIS web service using GML and shows how it can be implemented on a cellular phone emulator.

RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) 기술은 사물에 전자 태그를 부착하여 무선 인터페이스를 통해 사물의 정보를 자동으로 취득 할 수 있는 기술이다. 물류의 재고관리나 자동화 처리를 위해 주로 사용되었으나 최근에는 Cellular phone, PDA등 휴대용기기 에 RFID리더가 탑재되어 기존의 응용 이외에 다양한 서비스를 만들어 내려는 시도들이 나타나고 있다[1],[2]. 이는 궁극적으로는 모든 사물에 컴퓨팅 및 통신 기능을 부여하여 언제, 어디서, 무엇이든 통신이 가능한 환경을 구현함으로써 이제까지 사람 중심(Person to Person)에서 사물 중심(Machine to Machine) 정보화 사회로의 새로운 변화 시도이며 RFID기술은 진정한 Ubiquitous세상이 만들어지기 위한 주요 기술로서 지속적으로 발전되고 적용되어야 할 기술임이 분명하다. 이러한 사회적인 요구에 만족하기 위해서 RFID 기술도 변화하고 있고 새로운 기술적 이슈들이 나타나게 되었다. 본고에서는 RFID 기술의 변화를 알아보고, 특히 UHF 대역 RFID 리더가 Cellular phone에 내장되기 위해 소형화 및 저전력화가 되면서 발생하는 문제와 이의 해결방안을 살펴보고자 한다.

We propose the tele-monitoring system to real-time medical signal system and implemented the blood-pressure and blood-sugar monitoring system with bluetooth communication system. And, it transmits patient's data blood pressure, blood sugar to doctor and doctor sends the result of medical treatment to patient's phone, hand-phone or PDA. We developed the measurer as portable type in order to non-restrained monitor.

This paper has been studied a method that effectively displaying color image to monochromatic display such as PDA and movable-phone. Generally, the Floyd-Steinberg dithering algorithm has been used in this area and its' effectiveness were well known. But it shows some ugly patterns in white area and also shows some directionality in vertical and horizontal directions. To reduce those directionality, I suggest the error diffusion direction to be rotated randomly according to the bit value of the current position. This can also mitigate some ugly pattern in white area

In this paper, we designed bluetooth module using 2.4 GHz ISM band. Bluetooth is wireless networking solution that connects PDA, cellular phone, printer, PC, etc each other. We integrated digital and RF part in one module. As a result, we can make low power consumption module that enables long battery life. In addition, we enlarged maximum available range of our module from 10m to l00m. This module satisfies bluetooth specification 1.0.

Our goal of study is to develop an automatic carkeeping book using ZigBee Protocol. Car owner gets information of car by PDA or Mobile phone through ZigBee wireless communication network, Running distance, tuning information of car, refueling information and repair information are automatically downloaded from Gas-Station or Tuning-shop. Finally, carkeeping book is automatically recorded without typing.

추천 시스템은 방문 고객 개개인의 취향이나 구매이력 등을 분석하여 고객이 필요로 하는 상품 또는 컨텐츠 정보의 서비스를 제공한다. 기존의 추천 시스템은 온라인에 초점을 맞추어 설계되었는데 본 논문에서는 무선 인터넷 서비스를 기반으로 무선 단말기(e.g. PDA, Cell Phone 등)를 통해 오프라인에서도 추천정보를 제공하는 시스템을 제안한다. 사용자에게 제공이 되는 추천 정보는 상품이나, 컨텐츠 또는 이벤트 정보이며 제안된 시스템에서는 데이터 마이닝 기법을 통해 데이터를 분류, 측정 및 예측하고 지식 기반방법과 collaborative filtering 방법을 혼합하여 양쪽의 장점만을 취하여 기존의 한정된 상품에 대한 정보와 침상에서만 제공이 되는 서비스를 오프라인까지 통합한 추천 시스템을 제안한다.

범용 컴퓨터가 아닌 홈 네트워크로 연결된 정보가전용 실시간 시스템에 내장되는 운영체제인 정보가전용 실시간 운영체제는 디지털 TV, 웹 TV, WebPad, PDA, Smart Phone 등에 사용된다. 그러나 정보가전용 실시간 운영체제는 선점형 스케줄링, 멀티 태스킹 및 태스크간 예측 가능한 동기화 방법 그리고 짧고 제한된 인터럽트 처리와 작은 실행 이미지 등과 같은 특징들을 갖는다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 특징들을 만족하는 정보가전용 실시간 운영체제를 DVD 플레이어에 적용하여 설계 및 구현한 내용을 기술한다.

인터넷과 모바일 서비스는 요즘 들어 많이 사용되고 있는 서비스로써, 휴대폰을 이용한 모바일 서비스와 기존의 인터넷을 합쳐서 기존의 Web을 이용한 Internet 서비스 제공에서 벗이나 Web 뿐만 아니라 휴대폰, PDA, Phone(ARS) 등을 이용한 Multi Internet 서비스를 제공한다. 모바일과 인터넷에 제공할 정보를 하나의 데이터베이스에 통합하여 각각의 스크립 언어(Internet : ASP-Active Server Pages, Mobile : WML-Wireless Markup Language)를 이용하여 서비스를 제공하는 방식을 구현했다. 그래서 인터넷과 모바일 등 여러 가지 방법을 통해 필요한 정보를 검색 할 수 있게 됨으로서 사용자들은 자신이 원하는 방법을 이용하여 언제든지 장소에 구애받지 않고 원하는 자료를 검색할 수 있다.
