Many precedent investigations hate been made for the reliable assessment of the insulation state of large power apparatus for which partial discharge detection is one of tile plausible way. In this work, experimental investigations have been carried out to make the comparison on the PD(partial discharge) pattern analysis related to the five different types of artificial defects such as SFMP (Single Free Moving Particle), MFMP (Multi Free Moving Particle), Void, CFP (Conductor-Fixed Protrusion), EP (Enclosure Protrusion). For each PD pattern, PD detection has been done by tee different types of PD sensors such as HFCT(High Frequency Current Transformer), AE(Acoustic Emission) and UHF(Ultra High Frequency). And, in addition, frequency spectrum by the UHF sensor has been also made for each defect respectively. As a result, it is observed that the possibility of obtaining PD pattern based on PRPD(Phase Resolved Partial Discharge) in connection with the defects tinder investigation is dependant on the type of the sensor while the spectrum analysis is always successful to be achieved for every defect. Therefore, it could be suggested that the nature of PD source can be identified more distinctively when the conventional PRPDA is combined with spectrum analysis.

This paper dealt with the frequency spectrum analysis of acoustic signal produced by partial discharge (PD) in insulation oil and the positioning of PD occurrence to apply in diagnosis of oil insulated transformers. Three types of electrode system ; the needle-plane, the plane-plane, and the wire-wire structure were assembled to simulate partial discharges in oil insulated transformers. A low-noise amplifier and a decoupling circuit were designed to detect acoustic signal with high sensitivity The frequency spectrum of the acoustic signal were 50 kHz ${\sim}$ 260 kHz in the needle-plane, 50 kHz ${\sim}$ 250 kHz in the plane-plane, and 45 kHz${\sim}$195 kHz in the wire-wire electrode system. Their peak frequencies were 145 kHz, 130 kHz and 114 kHz, respectively The position of PD occurrence was calculated by the time difference of arrival (TOA) using three acoustic emission (AE) sensors, and we could find the position within the error of 1 % in the experimental apparatus.
The magneto-optical Kerr effect due to the (Fe,Co)/(Pd,Pt,Cu,Ag) multilayer film is calculated considering of multiple reflection effect, and the calculated Kerr spectrum is compared to the reported experimental value. In case of Co/Pd, the reliance of composition and the variable tendency of magneto-optical Kerr rotation angle for Co thickness fully coresponds to experimantal and theoretical value. The theoretical Kerr spectrum of Fe/Cu and Fe/Ag multilayer films show the peaks near the Cu and Ag optical ansorption band in accordance with the experiment. But in case of Co/Pt, the increase tendency of Kerr rofation with decreasing wavelength reported by experiments could not be explained by the optical multiple interference. This difference of theoretical and experimental Kerr spectrum of Co/Pt film might be related with the change of electronic structure of Co and/or Pt from their bulk state.
The >$^13C$ NMR spectrum of >$^13CO$ adsorbed on Pd particles varies dramatically depending on dispersion. The spectrum of highly dispersed Pd particles supported on silica is a powder pattern ∼800 ppm wide with a first moment of 410 ppm. A low dispersion sample has a motionally narrowed line centered at 750±30 ppm and only ∼85 ppm full width at half height (FWHH). Over several years, high dispersion samples show an increase in the intensity near 750 ppm. These observations are interpreted as an increase of mobile bridging CO on high dispersion Pd surfaces of particles which resulted from smoothing of the metal particle surfaces in the presence of CO.
Ultra-wide bandwidth (UWB), narrow bandwidth (single frequency), and a combination of both technologies have been studied for the ultra-high frequency (UHF) partial discharge (PD) monitoring system as a detection scheme. We have experimentally compared those detection methods using a mock-up of 362 kV class single phase gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) and a stable PD source. A rolling-ball type PD cell that produces PDs of about 10 pC, is placed at one end of the GIS. An internal UHF PD sensor was attached several meters away from the PD source. The PD spectrum was measured up to 3 GHz. A useable bandwidth of more than 1 GHz was used to measure UWB signals from the PD. To simulate the narrow bandwidth scheme a bandwidth of 100 kHz centered at several different frequencies was used.

In this paper, we introduce clustering scheme to calculate probability of detection which is practically required for conventional weighted-collaborative sensing technique. We also propose an improved weighted-collaborative spectrum sensing scheme using new weight generation algorithm to achieve better performance in Cognitive Radio systems. We calculate Pd in each cluster which is a CR users group with similar channel situation. New weight factor is generated using square sum of all cluster's Pds. Simulations under slow fading show that we can get better total detection probability and lower false alarm rate when PU (Primary User) suddenly terminates their transmission.

This paper dealt with the radiated electromagnetic wave detection of partial discharge (PD) in oil for insulation diagnostics of oil-immersed transformers. Three types of electrode system were fabricated to simulate the insulation defects that could occur in oil-immersed transformers. Frequency components of radiated electromagnetic wave in oil was measured by broadband bi-conical antennas of 300 MHz~2 GHz and a spectrum analyzer of 9 kHz~3 GHz. Frequency component of electromagnetic waves from PD in oil were highly distributed at 500 MHz. From the result, a narrow-band monopole antenna with the center frequency of 500 MHz was fabricated. We could detect PD signal in insulation oil without an influence of external noise by a measurement system which consists of the prototype monopole antenna, a LNA (Low Noise Amplifier), an oscilloscope and a spectrum analyzer.
In this paper, partial discharge(PD) was generated under the two types of needle -plane electrodes in the air. Using a monopole antenna to detect the radiated electromagnetic waves by stream of charge between the electrodes. the progress of partial discharge was studied. To analyze the progress of PD, statistical re-search was introduced. It was executed by personal computer and it can be possible to visualize the progress of PD. The t-test was used for lower voltage applied. The population of background noise spectrum and applied voltage spectrum showed the difference. The new method was introduced to analyze the spectrum. According tho the magnitude of applied voltage, the different statistical methods were used. The results obtained from this work will provide the useful information on partial discharge in time to come.
New Pd(IV) complexes have been prepared through the reactions of $trans-[Pd(en)_2Cl_2](ClO_4)_2 $(en = ethylenediamine) with Guanine, Adenine, or Uracil anion as purine and pyrimidine base. We identified the ratio of central metal versus ligands by $C{\cdot}H{\cdot}N$ elemental analysis and proposed the coordinating site of the base by infrared spectrum, $^1H-NMR,\; and\; ^{13}C$-NMR spectrum. Guanine or Adenine ligand coordinated at N7 site and an en ligand exchanged for $ClO_4^-$ counter ions of the starting material . As these results, the complexes showed the formula $[Pd(en)L_2(ClO_4)_2](ClO_4)_2{\cdot}(en)$, (L = Guanine, Adenine). But in the Uracil complex no exchange of the en ligand and $ClO_4^-$ occured and Uracil anion preferred the N1 to N3 as coordinating site, the complex $[Pd(en)_2(Urac)_2](ClO_4)_2(Urac = Uracil anion).$
We extended the measurable time scale of DNA dynamics to submicrosecond using a long-lifetime metal-ligand complex, $[Ru(phen)_2(dppz)]^{2+}$ (phen=1,10-phenanthroline, dppz=dipyrido[3,2-a:2',3'-c]phenazine) (RuPD), which displays a mean lifetime near 350 ns. We partially characterized the fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) in calf thymus DNA from RuPD to nile blue (NB) using frequency-domain fluorometry with a high-intensity, blue light-emitting diode (LED) as the modulated light source. There was a significant overlap of the emission spectrum of the donor RuPD with the absorption spectrum of the acceptor NB. The F$\ddot{o}$rster distance ($R_0$) that was calculated from the spectral overlap was $33.4\;{\AA}$. We observed dramatic decreases in the steady-state fluorescence intensities of RuPD when the NB concentration was increased. The intensity decays of RuPD were matched the closest by a triple exponential decay. The mean decay time of RuPD in the absence of the acceptor NB was 350.7 ns. In a concentration-dependent manner, RuPD showed rapid intensity decay times upon adding NB. The mean decay time decreased to 184.6 ns at $100\;{\mu}M$ NB. The FRET efficiency values that are calculated from the mean decay times increased from 0.107 at $20\;{\mu}M$ NB to 0.474 at $100\;{\mu}M$ NB concentration. The use of FRET with a long-lifetime metal-ligand complex donor is expected to offer the opportunity to increase the information about the structure and dynamics of nucleic acids.
