선박 에너지 절감을 위한 PCS 시뮬레이터 및 데이터 저장 시스템 개발 (Development of a PCS Simulator and Data Storage System for Energy Saving in the Ship)

  • 환경오염 및 유류비가 증가함에 따라 선박 에너지 절감 방안에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. PCS(Pump Control System)는 선박냉각시스템에서 해수펌프 회전속도, 청수펌프 회전속도 및 3-Way V/V 위치 제어를 통해 에너지를 절감하는 펌프제어시스템이다. 본 논문에서는 PCS의 신뢰성 확보를 위해 실 선박의 냉각시스템과 유사한 환경을 갖춘 PCS 시뮬레이터를 개발하였다. 또한 PCS 시뮬레이터를 위한 컴퓨터 기반의 제어 시스템 및 데이터 저장시스템을 개발하였다. 제어 및 데이터 저장시스템 개발에는 National Instrument 사의 cDAQ 및 LabVIEW를 사용하였다. 최종적으로 저장된 데이터를 분석하여 시뮬레이터의 동작을 확인하였다.

  • PCS needs to freely switch AC and DC to connect the battery, external AC loads and renewable energy in both directions for energy efficiency. Whenever converting happens, power loss inevitably occurs. Minimization of the power loss to save electricity and convert it for usage is a very critical function in PCS. PCS plays an important role in the ESS(Energy Storage System) but the importance of stabilizing semiconductors on PCB(Printed Circuit Board) should be empathized with a risk of failure such as a fire explosion. In this study, the temperature variation inside PCS was reviewed by cooling fan on top of PCS, and the vibration characteristics of PCS were analyzed during truck transportation for reliability of the product. In most cases, a cooling fan is mounted to control the inner temperature at the upper part of the PCS and components generating the heat placed on the internal aluminum cooling plate to apply the primary cooling and the secondary cooling system with inlet fans for the external air. Results of CFD showed slightly lack of circulating capacity but simulated temperatures were durable for components. The resonance points of PCS were various due to the complexity of components. Although they were less than 40 Hz which mostly occurs breakage, it was analyzed that the vibration displacement in the resonance frequency band was very insufficient. As a result of random-vibration simulation, the lower part was analyzed as the stress-concentrated point but no breakage was shown. The steel sheet could be stable for now, but for long-term domestic transportation, structural coupling may occur due to accumulation of fatigue strength. After the test completed, output voltage of the product had lost so that extra packaging such as bubble wrap should be considered.

도장재의 양생재령과 도장두께가 PCS 도장철근과 시멘트 콘크리트와의 부착강도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Curing Age and Thickness of Coating Material on the Bond Strength of PCS-Coated Rebar to Cement Concrete)

  • 본 연구는 시멘트 종류, 폴리머 종류, 폴리머 시멘트비, 도장두께를 변화시켜 만든 PCS 도장철근의 시멘트 콘크리트에 대한 부착강도 시험을 실시하여 PCS 도장철근의 부착강도에 영향을 미치는 양생재령과 도장두께에 대하여 평가하고자 하였다. 또한 부착강도 시험결과로 얻어진 최적배합으로 만든 PCS 도장철근을 사용하여 철근콘크리트 보를 제작하여 휨 응력 시험을 실시하여 간접적으로 부착성을 평가하였다. 시험결과, PCS 도장철근의 부착강도는 양생재령 7일과 도장두께 $100{\mu}m$에서 최대치를 나타냈는데, 이는 보통 철근의 1.52배 및 에폭시 도장철근의 1.58배였다. 또한 PCS 도장철근을 사용한 철근콘크리트 보의 최대 파괴하중은 보통철근의 최대 파괴하중의 81.1%~102.3% 범위였으며, 에폭시 도장철근의 최대 파괴하중의 98.4%~124.1% 범위로 나타났다. 본 연구결과, 도장두께 $100{\mu}m$, 폴리머 종류 EVA, 폴리머 시멘트비 80%, 양생재령 7일 조건으로 만든 PCS 도장철근은 실제 건설현장의 철근콘크리트 구조물의 도장철근으로 활용할 수 있는 가능성을 확인하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 국내 비전통에너지자원인 셰일가스, 석탄층메탄가스(CBM) 및 가스하이드레이트 개발사업의 정확한 매장량을 위해 온도와 압력을 실시간으로 기록하는 DLS (Data Logging System)가 내장된 저류층 PCS (Pressure Core Sampler)를 개발하여 국산화시키고, 지하심부의 시료가 채취된 순간부터 시료의 압력을 유지함으로써 시료 내 가스의 손실 없이 시추코어를 회수하는데 있다. 저류층 PCS는 일반적인 코어 샘플러와는 달리 입구 부분에 볼밸브와 같은 개폐 장치가 있어 일정 길이의 코어 샘플이 채취되면 입구를 밀폐하여 원위치 상태의 압력이 그대로 유지되게 하는 기능을 갖고 있다. 이것은 특히 셰일가스나 석탄층메탄가스 및 가스하이드레이트와 같은 기체를 포함한 시료의 정확한 분석을 위해 아주 중요한 역할을 하게 된다. 현재 PCS 장비 및 이를 활용한 기술은 미국과 유럽 등에서 독점하고 있는 상황이다. 이에 따라 기존 PCS의 동작원리 및 메커니즘 분석과 상세설계를 수행하여 저류층PCS를 개발중이며, 성능은 PCS 최대 사용압력 100 bar, PCS 최대 사용온도 $-20{\sim}40^{\circ}C$, PCS 압력 손실율 10%를 목표로 하고 있다.

  • This paper deals with the characteristics of persistent current switch (rCS) system fer applied HTS magnet system. To apply the high-Tc superconductor in superconducting machine such as motror, generator, MAGLEV, MRI, and NMR, the study on high-Tc superconducting persistent current mode must be performed. In this experiment, the PCS system consists otd superconducting magnet, PCS and magnet power supply. The superconducting magnet was fabricated by connecting four double pancake coils (DPCs) in series. The PCS was inductive double pancake coil type and heated up by the SUS 303L tape heater. The optimal length of PCS was calculated and thermal quench state of PCS was simulated by using finite element method(FEM) and compared with experimental results. The optimal energy to normalize the PCS was calculated and introduced. Finally, the persistent current was observed with respect to various ramping up rate and magnitude of charging current.

  • In this paper, a PV multi-string PCS with a grid-connection is proposed. An improved MPPT algorithm for the PV multi-string PCS is suggested. Each PV string has its own MPP tracker and the proposed MPPT algorithm prevents LMPP tracking due to power ripple. In the PV PCS with single-phase inverter has a large current ripple at twice the grid frequency. The current ripple reduction algorithm without external component is suggested. Also, this paper proposes a simple control method to achieve sharing of the PV string voltage and current among the interleaved parallel boost converters. All algorithms and controllers are implemented on a single-chip microcontroller. Experimental results obtained on a 3kW prototype show high performance of the proposed PV multi-string PCS.

Variable Structure PWM Controller for Highly Efficient PV Inverters

  • In general, the output voltage level of a PV array varies widely at various irradiances and temperatures. The MPP (Maximum Power Point) range of a medium- or high-power PV PCS is normally 450~830Vdc or 300~600Vdc. This means the PV PCS should operate in a wide range of modulation indexes. The PV PCS should satisfy the harmonic current requirement that the TDD (Total demand distortion) shall not exceed 5%. This paper proposes a new PWM control method for a medium- or high-power PV PCS which increases the efficiency of power conversion in all operation ranges with acceptable harmonic ripple currents. This paper compares and analyzes appropriate PWM schemes for the PV PCS in the view points of conversion efficiency and current harmonics.

  • In this paper, a novel anti-islanding method of DC-AC single phase inverter is proposed. The inverter injects a little harmonic current with the output current of a PCS(Power Conditioning System). When the islanding condition is occurred, the voltage harmonic components appear on the output voltage of the PCS due to the injection of a little harmonic current. So, the PCS detects the voltage harmonic components using the Goertzel algorithm, and then the PCS decides that the islanding condition is occurred. When the PCS recognizes the islanding condition, the PCS are stopped. The proposed a novel anti-islanding method is analyzed, and its validity is proven through simulation.

  • Pulsed Current Sintering (PCS) process possesses some problems that need to be resolved. We, therefore aims at understanding phenomena of PCS process by presenting some basic data on in situ sintering behavior of PCS. Special graphite mold equipped with thermo couple and electrodes were designed to measure the temperature, electric current and voltage inside the powder during PCS process. We apply three types of raw materials, especially for ZnO as semiconductor, $Al_2O_3$ as non-conductor and WC as good conductor. The electric current and voltage were measured for each powder during PCS process. In addition, their electric resistance properties were calculated.
