  • In this study, the Model of Emotion Evaluation, an emotional analysis actively applied in environmental assessment, was divided into two parts, the abbreviated model and the inferential model, through pilot study and experiment. In addition, an analysis was conducted through the experiment on the attributes of the evaluation vocabularies of two additional types of representative models, the EPA Model and PAD Model, and the results show a huge difference in the development approach and lexical constitution of the two models. It was also identified through factor analysis that the vocabularies were abbreviated according to the respective models. Similarity relationships were analyzed using multidimensional scaling and the results show that mutual relationship was established to some degree. Based on this, we can conclude that, rather than a biased use of the Model of Emotion Evaluation in emotion evaluation, a more objective image analysis is possible by analyzing the characteristics of the model before applying it. In this study, the evaluation target was confined only to the environmental assessment of streetscape and continuous research on the Model of Emotion Evaluation that allows for the comparison of evaluation models in various areas is needed.

  • This study is aimed at minimizing the errors in using a sensitivity evaluation model that could occur when sensitivity analysis method is actively used for design evaluation. To extract words of a contrantion-type model by product, interior space, and streetscape design, primary word refinement was conducted with the words extracted from preceding studies. The analysis revealed that 19 words were used in all three fields. A reliability analysis revealed that different words had a bad impact on the reliability in each field. The applicability was reviewed through reliability analysis of EPA model as contraction-type and PAD model as inference-type. The results are as follows. Although the reliability of the contrantion-type model was higher than that of inference-type model in all three fields, the differences in Cronbach's Alpha were small. Also, When the reliability was analyzed after deleting the words that had a bad impact on reliability, the differences in the reliability's coefficients were clearly significant. Therefore, it is necessary to select words suitable for sensitivity evaluation target and objectivity of the evaluation can be boosted by using a proper model. Analysis of the sensitivity evaluation model suitable for future environmental evaluation should be analyzed with various statistical methods, beyond verification of reliability.

  • Although the recognition and emotion about space is subjective and individual, if standard is proposed through common factor, objective, quantified space image evaluation will be available. In addition, space image evaluation standard caused by recognitive-emotional factor can meet requests of space users and increase psychological satisfactions. The purpose of this study is to grasp the space image caused by recognitive-emotional factor in space with PAD model and analyze the evaluation of space image giving visual, recognitive and emotional effects. The analysis result revealed that 'joyfulness' and access-avoidance had a very similar distribution. The result means that space is evaluated with the degree of 'joyfulness' for space and it is led by approach-avoidance behavior. The recognition factor that forms and evaluates space image and decides approach-avoidance is expressed as adjective images such as 'fresh, joyful, light and static and its emotional factors are adjective images such as 'calm, allowable, joyful and quiet'.

  • This research aims to examine the cause-and-effect relationship between the user's purchase intention and word-of-mouth for Instagram advertisements. In addition, Instagram currently has many users in the order of Kakao Talk, Facebook, and Instagram. However, most of the previous prior papers are research on the current status of Instagram. Recent research on Instagram advertising has been lacking. This research is academically significant in that it conducted with the focus on advertising on Instagram. In addition, we provide a framework based on future research in that we proposed a model between human psychology and the oral effect on how much Instagram affects purchasing through the theory of emotional response (PAD). Future studies need to demonstrate the relationship between emotion response (PAD) factors that directly affect purchase intent. Finally, it will need to be studied to analyze purchasing patterns using data mining techniques between different social network services.

  • This study investigates the effects of casino servicescape and customer interaction on the emotions and loyalty of Chinese and Japanese customers. Data on casino servicescape, customer interaction, pleasure, arousal, and dominance (PAD) emotions, and loyalty were obtained from 275 Chinese and Japanese gamblers in Korea's foreigner-only casinos, and structural model analysis using AMOS 21.0 was conducted to verify the model. This study empirically confirmed the similarities and differences in PAD emotions between Chinese and Japanese customers on casino servicescape and on their interactions at casinos. By doing so, this study theoretically attempts to extend the existing research framework, and demonstrates the need for casinos to consider the role of culture/nationality in the context of international marketing when targeting international consumers.

  • In this paper, we propose new method to reduce variance and express mixed feelings in Russell's emotional dimension(A Circumplex model). A Circumplex model shows mean and variance of emotions(joy, sad, happy, enjoy et. al.) in PAD(Pleasure, Arousal, Dominace, et. al.) dimension using self-diagnostic method(SAM: Self-Assessment-Manikin). But other researchers consistently insisted that Russell's model had two problems. First, data(emotional words) gathered by Russell's method have too big variance. So, it is difficult to separate valid value. Second, Russell's model can not properly represent mixed feelings because it has structural problem(It has a single Pleasure dimension). In order to solve these problems, we change survey methods, so that we reduce value of variance. And then we conduct survey(which can induce mixed feelings) to prove Positive/Negative(Pleasure) part in emotion and confirm that Russell's model can be used to express mixed feelings. Using this method, we can obtain high reliability and accuracy of data and Russell's model can be applied in many other fields such as bio-signal, mixed feelings, realistic broadcasting, et. al.

  • In the current study, it is suggested that when two emotions are presented through cross-modality, such as auditory and visual, incongruence will influence arousal, recognition, and recall of subjects. The first hypothesis is that incongruent cross-modality does not only increase arousal more than the congruent, but it also increases recall and recognition more than congruent. The second hypothesis is that arousal modulates recall and recognition of subjects. To demonstrate the two hypotheses, our experiment's conditions were manipulated to be congruent and incongruent by presenting positive or negative emotions, visually and acoustically. For dependent variables, we measured recall rate and recognition rates. and arousal was measured by PAD (pleasure-arousal-dominance) scales. After eight days, only recognition was measured repeatedly online. As a result, our behavioral experiment showed that there was a significant difference between arousal before watching a movie clip and after (p<.001), but no difference between the congruent condition and incongruent condition. Also, there was no significant difference between recognition performance in the congruent condition and incongruent condition, but there was a main effect of the clips' emotions. Interestingly after analyzing recognition rates separately depending on clips' emotions, there was a significant difference between congruent and incongruent conditions in the only negative clip (p= .044), not in the positive clip. In a detailed result, recognition in the incongruent condition is more than in the congruent condition. Furthermore, in the case of recall performance, there was a significant interaction between the clips' emotions shown in the clips and congruent conditions (p=.039). Through these results, the effect of incongruence with negative emotion was demonstrated, but an incongruent effect by arousal could not be demonstrated. In conclusion, in our study, we tried to determine the impact of one method to convey a story dramatically and have an effect on memory. These effects are influenced by the subjects' perceived emotions (valence and arousal).

  • In accordance with escalating demands for advanced technology products, the smart clothing that includes embedded ICT technology have expanded into fields of daily life. As a result of this trend, interest in smart clothing with digitally controllable heating has rapidly grown and the market for smart heated clothing has also expanded. Increasing of prospect in smart heated clothing market, the effectiveness and thermal sensation research of the location on the pad attached is insufficient. This study was conducted to find the optimal location of heated clothing via experimental research on changes in skin temperature and subjective thermal sensation when heating pads were placed on different areas of the body. For this experiment, the subjects consisted of 10 males in their 20's of standard physique. The skin temperature at 11 different areas of the body, rectal temperature, and subjective thermal sensation were taken at different stages (before testing, after a 20 minute rest period, 20 minute treatment period, and after a 40 minute recovery period) in an artificial-climate chamber at $-5^{\circ}C$. As a result, the optimal location for heating pads in smart clothing was estimated and suggested.
