Interconnection of P2PSIP Overlay and IMS Network and Its Characteristics (P2PSIP Overlay와 IMS 네트워크간 상호접속 및 특성)

  • Today the various types of communication and application service are provided by the development of Internet and IP technologies. It is expected to be extended the service domain of two networks through the interconnecting P2PSIP overlay which is highlighted as an important technologies for Internet based services and IMS(IP Multimedia Subsystem) which is the new architecture adopted in the evolution of NGN. Therefore, this paper explains the possible methods of the service expansion with interconnecting P2PSIP overlay and IMS network. Specially this paper suggests the interconnection architectures of P2PSIP overlay and IMS network as subscriber's types and analyzes the traffic analysis model and session set up delay characteristics by simulation model. As a results, this paper shows that the interconnection architecture using gateway AS(Application Server) is the excellent method to interconnect the IMS in case of P2PSIP overlay only subscriber, and that interconnection architecture using I-CSCF is good method to interconnect the IMS in case of P2PSIP overlay and IMS subscriber.

The Efficient Scenario of Solving NAT Traversal in the IMS (IMS에서 효율적인 NAT Traversal 해결 시나리오)

  • We can use NAT(Network Address Translation) technology to solve the lack of IP address. The problem of NAT traversal is happened when the filtering characteristics of NAT remove the packet that has no binding in the address translation table of NAT. There were many kinds of way to solve these problems by using additional device. Lately, network market is changed into integrating wired and wireless network by the IMS(IP Multimedia Subsystem). The IMS integrates to control network of wired and wireless network, has emerged to control convergence network effectively. Lately, the additional devices like IBCF(Interconnection Border Control Function) and IBGF(Interconnection Border Gateway Function) are used to solve the NAT traversal problem in the IMS. In this paper, we propose the solution of NAT traversal using P-CSCF without any additional equipment in the IMS.

  • 최근 인터넷기반의 멀티미디어 서비스의 발전에 힘입어 기존의 IP망을 코어 네트워크로 사용하는 이종망간의 통합서비스가 주를 이루고 있다. 이에 따른 사용자들의 요구로 고품질 멀티미디어 데이터 서비스 지원의 QoS와 멀티미디어 서비스를 끊김없는 이동성(Seamless Mobility)에 대해서 지원할 수 있는 핸드오버기법이 필수적이게 되었다. 이중 끊김없는 이동성 지원하기 위해 MIP(Mobile IP)기법이 제안되었고, 이를 향상시킨 FMIP(Fast Handover for. MIP), HMIP(Hierarchical MIP) 그리고 PMIP(Proxy MIP)까지 제안되었다. 본 논문에서는 IMS망의 P-CSCF의 SIP프로토콜과 PMIP핸드오버 기법을 연동하는 PTSA(PMIP To SIP Agent)를 두어 IMS망에서 적용할 수 있는 향상된 PMIP 핸드오버 기법을 제안한다.
