The hydorgen storage alloys were produced by melting in arc melting furnace and then solution heat treated at $1,100^{\circ}C$ followed by pulverization. The chemical analysis on the samples showed that the major elements of misch metal(Mm) were La, Ce, Pr and Nd with impurity less than 1wt.%. X-ray diffraction indicated that the structure for these samples were a single phase of hexagonal with $CaCu_5$ type. Compared to the initial particle size $100{\sim}110{\mu}m$, the many fine cracks were found and particle size decreased to $14{\mu}m$ for $MmNi_{4.5}Mn_{0.5}$ after hydriding/dehydring test run. To activate the sample the vessel filled with hydrogen storage alloys was first evacuated for for at $70^{\circ}C$ and then treated for 10.5hr under hydrogen pressure of 20atm for $MmNi_{4.5}Mn_{0.5}$ alloy. The experimental data showed that the hydrogen storage alloy of $MmNi_{4.5}Mn_{0.5}$ had superior adsorption and description properties within a temperature rang of $40^{\circ}C{\sim}80^{\circ}C$ and also they had a good P-C-T curve.
In this study, dynamic centrifuge tests in dry sand were conducted in order to evaluate the effect of pile installation on the dynamic p-y curve. According to the result of the pile installation effect on the dynamic p-y backbone curves, the subgrade resistance of a jacked pile in 40 g was found to be greater than that of a jacked pile in 1 g and a preinstalled pile in 1 g. It was also found that differences of the subgrade resistance decrease with the depth of the pile. Applicability of dynamic p-y backbone curve for the bored pile proposed by preceded researcher was evaluated by comparing with the result of centrifuge tests. In addition, dynamic p-y backbone curve for jacking/driven pile was developed by modifying that for the bored pile.
The pharmacokinetics and relationship between in vitro dissolution and in vivo fraction absorbed were investigated after intravenous(iv) injection of omeprazole(OMZ), oral administration of OMZ capsules and rectal administration of 8 types of suppositories. The plasma concentration of OMZ (C$_{p}$)-time (t) curve after iv. administration fitted a two-compartment open model and the equation which best fitted the pharmacokinetics of OMZ was $C_{p}$ = 13.936 $e^{-8.78t}$+2.973 $e^{-0.716t}$. The bioavailabilities of OMZ in Witepsol H15 base (Supp-2) and PEG 4000 base (Supp-6) suppositories were 40.7% and 33.4%, respectively, which are higher(p<0.001) than 13% of oral administration of capsule. The avoidance fractions of the first-pass metabolism for Supp-2 and Supp-6 suppositiories were 31.8% and 23.4%, respectively, suggesting that the rectal application of OMZ may be a more adequate route of administration than oral one.

In this study, several design and construction cases of the pile bent system for bridges were introduced. The lateral displacement of the pile bent system is larger than the displacement of pile cap system, due to the smaller bending stiffness and the longer unsupported length. So, the analysis of the lateral pile displacement is main factor for the design of pile bent system and superstructure. For the accurate estimation of the pile displacement, an iterative analysis method was developed. The superstructure was analyzed regarding the pile foundation as $6{\times}6$ spring and the substructure was analysed using non-linear load transfer curves (p-y, t-z, q-z curve). And, to verify this analysis method, the estimated displacements are compared with the results of lateral load test. This analysis method is expected to be a viable alternative approach for the design of bridge foundation hereafter.
Let $V = {(z, y) : f(z, y) = z^n + Ay^\alpha z^p + y^\beta z^q + y^k = 0}$ and $W = {(z, y) : g(z, y) = z^n + By^\gamma z^s + y^\delta z^t + y^k = 0}$ be germs of analytic irreducible subvarieties of a polydisc near the origin in $C^2$ with n < k and (n, k) = 1 where A and B are complex numbers. Assume that V and W are topologically equivalent near the origin.
This study was conducted to estimate the growth curve parameters of 253 heads of F2 population produced by inter-crossing F1 from Korean Native boars and Landrace sows, and to estimate the effects of Leptin receptor gene(LEPR) on their growth characteristics. Growth curve parameters were estimated from nonlinear regression using Gompertz model individually. Average mature weight and average maturing rate estimated were 179.69${\pm}$4.40kg and 0.3103${\pm}$0.0043, respectively. The effect of sex was insignificant for all the parameters estimated from Gempertz model(p〉.05), and the effect of calving group was significant for mature weight and maximum growth rate at inflection point (p〈.05). The effect of LEPR genotype were significant for all the growth curve parameters(p〈.05). According from the results of the least squares means of growth curve parameters by LEPR genotypes, mature weight and point of inflection were highest in genotype AA in which the maturing rate was the lowest, and were lowest in genotype DD in which maturing rate was the highest, reversely.
$\alpha$,$\omega$-Bis(4-glycidyloxybenzylidene-4-aminophenyl)methane (BGBAM) was synthesized from the initial materials, 4-hydroxylbenzaldehyde (HBA), 4,4'-methylenedianiline (MDA) and epichlorohydrin. The DSC trace for BGBAM shows two endotherms associated with the liquid crystalline phase transition around $104.2^{\circ}C$ and the isotropic transition around $171.2^{\circ}C$, and it also has a broad exotherm in the range of $178~300^{\circ}C$ due to the anionic homopolymerization of BGBAM. DSC curve for the curing of BGBAM with hexamethylene diamine (HMD) shows an endothermic peak around $93^{\circ}C$ attributed to the melting of BGBAM. It also has three exothermic peaks around $128.4^{\circ}C$ and $180.2^{\circ}C$ associated with the epoxide-amine reaction and weak peak in the range of $200~263^{\circ}C$ related to the anionic homopolymerization between the unreacted epoxide groups. The activation energy values of cure reaction by Kissinger method are 66.5, 67.3 and 90.6 kJ/mol for $T_{pl},\; T_{p2}\; and \;T_{p3},\; respectively$. The kinetic parameters by isoconverional method are similar value to those from Kissinger method.
Let $C_d$ be the rational curve of degree d in $P_k ^3$ given parametrically by $x_0 = u^d, X_1 = u^{d - 1}t, X_2 = ut^{d - 1}, X_3 = t^d (d \geq 4)$. Then the defining ideal of $C_d$ can be minimally generated by d polynomials $F_1, F_2, \ldots, F_d$ such that $degF_1 = 2, degF_2 = \cdots = degF_d = d - 1$ and $C_d$ is a set-theoretically complete intersection on $F_2 = X_1^{d-1} - X_2X_0^{d-2}$ for every field k of characteristic p > 0. For the proofs we will use the notion of Grobner basis.

Amines, ammonia or 3-methoxypropylamine (MPA), are used to maintain the optimized pH for the prevention of corrosion in the secondary side of Pressurized Water Reactors (PWRs). They are differently dissociated as a function of temperature which is not same in each location of the water-steam cycle. pH at the operation temperature depends on temperature of fluid and equilibrium constants of water and amines. Thus, every amine provides the different pH in the entire secondary side so that pH is not only the sufficient parameter in corrosion control. The secondary parameter, i.e., buffer intensity, is the ability to maintain a stable pH when $H^+$ are added or removed due to the ingress of impurities or the reaction of corrosion. The buffer intensity is necessary to provide the selection criteria for the best pH control agent for secondary side and the basic understanding of the reason why the flow-accelerated corrosion(FAC) rate may demonstrate the bell-shape curve over temperature. The buffer intensities of ammonia and MPA were reviewed over the entire operation temperature of PWRs. The sufficient buffer intensity is provided for the inhibition of corrosion by ammonia in low temperature $(25{\sim}100^{\circ}C)$ and by DMA in high temperature $(150{\sim}250^{\circ}C)$. In terms of buffer intensity, i) the best pH control agent is an amine with $pK_a(T)$ range of pH(T)- $1{\leq}pK_a(T){\leq}pH(T)$ + 0.5 and ii) the amine solution should have sufficient buffer intensity, ${\beta}$ to inhibit corrosion, and iii) FAC rate may be maximum at the temperature, where ${\beta}_B/{\beta}$ ratio is lowest.
The pharmacokinetics of orally administered paclitlxel (50 mg/kg) was studied in six rabbits after 1hr pretreatment (2.0 mg/kg and 10 mg/kg) of tetramethoxyflavone or coadministration of (2.0 mg/kg, 10 mg/kg and 20 mg/kg) tetramethoxyflavone. The area under the plasma concentration-tine curve (AUC) and plasma concentration of paclitaxe1 coadministered with tetramethoxyflavone (10 mglkg) were increased significantly (p<0.05) compared with control. However, coadministration of tetramethoxyflavone (2 and 20 mg/kg) showed no significant effect on the pharmacokinetic parameters of paclitaxel. Pretreatment with tetramethoxyflavone significantly (p<0.05) increased the plasma concentration of paclitaxel. The area under the plasma concentration-time curve (AUC) and the peak concentration (C$_{max}$) of paclitaxel pretreated with tetramethoxyflavone were increased significantly (p<0.01, p<0.05) compared with control. The terminal half. life of paclitaxel pretreated with tetramethoxyflavone (2 mg/kg and 10 mg/kg) was significantly (p<0.05) prolonged compared with control. Pretreatment with tetramethoxyflavone (2.0 mg/kg, 10 mg/kg) significantly (p<0.01, p<0.05) increased the absolute bioavailability of paclitaxel compared with the control (154∼179%). On the basis of the results, it might be considered that tetramethoxyflavone may inhibit cytochrome P450 or P-glycoprotein efflux pump which are engaged in paclitaxel metabolism, result in increased AUC and t$_{1}$2/ of paclitaxel. However, further study should be conducted to clarify the roles of cytochrome P450 and P-glycoprotein on paclitaxel bioavailability with/or without tetramethoxyflavone. P-glycoprotein on paclitaxel bioavailability with/or without tetramethoxyflavone.
