해외직접구매의 두 요소 : 자기효능감과 구매충동성 (Two Factors of Overseas Online Shopping : Self-Efficacy and Impulsivity)

  • Purpose - This research aims to investigate the factors that influence consumer's overseas online shopping behavior. Consumers adopt overseas online shopping as a new buying way and more and more consumers prefer overseas online shopping than traditional shopping ways. Consumers' behaviors in this shopping experience can be different from other shopping experiences. With the increase of overseas online shopping, we need to find antecedents and results of overseas online shopping. Especially there would be positive or negative factors which influence overseas online shopping motivation. To find the relationship, this study examines self-efficacy and impulsivity as major factors which influence overseas online shopping. We also suggest that several attitude factors increase self-efficacy and it is positively related to customer satisfaction. On the other hand, we assume that overseas online shopping factors influence impulsivity of buying and it will decrease customer satisfaction. Research design, data, and methodology - This empirical study data were collected from Korean people who experience overseas online shopping. The subjects for this study were confined to shoppers who used overseas online shopping within the past six months. A total of 267 responses were gathered. SPSS 23.0, PLS 2.0 software were used in the data analysis. Descriptive statistics were used to show sample characteristics. We examined reliability, validity test for constructs. All measurement items used seven-point scales(1= very strong disagree, 7 = very strongly agree) drawn from previously published papers. Partial Least Square method was applied to find the relationship between antecedent factors and dependent factors and hypotheses were estimated. Results - Results show that perceived superiority, perceived ease of use, perceived transaction safety, perceived behavioral control positively affect self-efficacy. Self-efficacy influences positively to consumer's post purchase satisfaction. Perceived monetary benefit and perceived uniqueness motivated impulse buying. This can make consumer's post purchase dissatisfaction. Conclusions - This paper attempted to confirm the existence of both the positive and negative faces of overseas online shopping. The result reveals that self-efficacy is a major factor which may increase satisfaction in the overseas online shopping. Usually, we can think monetary benefit and uniqueness of products motivate overseas online shopping. But it can also intrigue impulse buying and negatively affect customer relationship. Therefore companies should provide enough products information to their potential customers and they might apply adequate processes such as recommendation, comparing systems to build long term relationship with their customers.

해외 인터넷 쇼핑몰에서 패션상품을 직접 구매하는 소비자의 쇼핑 가치에 따른 위험 지각과 만족도 (Fashion shoppers' perceived risk and satisfaction at overseas online malls based on their internet shopping values)

  • The purposes of this study was to identify fashion shoppers' perceived risk and satisfaction while shopping at overseas online shopping malls based on their internet shopping values. A self-administered questionnaire was used for data collection and an internet survey was conducted from April 12~15, 2015. Most consumers purchased one or two fashion items at overseas online malls directly, motivated by low prices, and spent 200,000~400,000 won during the last one year. The factors of consumers' internet shopping values were information, hedonics, and practicality. Factors of perceived risk were delivery and refund, price and approval, and product and shopping mall. Consumers were divided into three categories: heavy pursuit shoppers, intermediate shoppers, and uninformed shoppers based on their internet shopping values. Heavy pursuit shoppers were primarily female; they spent more, felt a deeper patronage with overseas online shopping malls and their perceived risk regarding delivery and refund was higher than the other shoppers. The group of uninformed shoppers were primarily male. They spent less, had low patronage with overseas online shopping malls, and their perceived risk regarding delivery and refund was lower than other shoppers. Overall satisfaction was positively affected by information provided while shoppers were surfing the overseas online shopping malls and practicality. Satisfaction was negatively affected by perceived risk regarding price and approval and difficulty in finding specific products while shopping at overseas online shopping malls.

중국의 해외구매대행 현황과 문제점에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Status and Problem Concerning Overseas Shopping Service)

  • With the steady growth of our nation's economy, the purchase power of our domestic citizens has continuously enhanced. In recent years, online overseas shopping has rapidly warmed up, increasing number of Chinese people have started to purchase overseas products via internet. According to China's current legislation, the imported goods are divided into goods and items based on "profitability standard", and regulated by different rules of clearance supervision and import duties. Goods can't pass through custom and pay duties in the form of items, and the import duties burden of goods is generally much heavier than that of items. Goods of entrusted overseas shopping pass through custom and pay duties in the form of items, but goods of profitable purchasing are goods, not items. Therefore, the profitable-purchasing behavior is smuggling. Although goods of unprofitable purchasing are items, unprofitable-purchasing behavior may also constitute smuggling. The author concludes that causes of smuggling crime are: huge market demand for overseas goods, lack of customs supervision, law blank of petty foreign trade, and public's misconception of entrusted overseas purchasing are the major factors. The author proposes the corresponding preventive measures against the crime, such as to establish an one-stop service system in online Shopping Mall, to modify the Passengers' Baggage Declaration Form, to establish a relatively simplified clearance system of small cargo, to establish a relatively reasonable import duties of petty trade.

해외직접구매 사이트에 대한 서비스품질 지각이 소비자의 신뢰와 만족도 및 충성도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Service Quality Perception of Direct Purchase Shopping to Trust, Satisfaction, and Customer Loyalty)

  • Consumers who purchase products from foreign countries and deliver them back to Korea are increasing. According to the Korea Fashion & Textile News (2015), overseas direct shopping reported 39% increase compared to 2013. Furthermore, clothes accounted for 19% of product category. Therefore, the service quality of overseas purchase sites is becoming more important, but studies have been limited. this research focuses on investigating the effects of consumers' shopping orientation on service quality and the effects of service quality on trust, satisfaction, and consumer loyalty. The survey was administered to consumers who had experiences in purchasing through overseas direct purchase websites. The results showed that the perception of service quality differed depending on the respondent's shopping orientation. Among the four shopping orientation groups(shopping confidence, shopping enjoyment, trend pursuit, and shopping follower groups), the shopping confidence group showed the highest mean for all service quality factors. All the groups showed the highest scores on product and trust among the factors of service quality. Next, the results revealed that service quality positively influenced consumers' trust on websites that provide overseas direct purchase services, which further improved customer loyalty. Therefore, the study gives managerial suggestions to online retailers that provide oversea shopping service. They need to provide higher site efficiency, security, product reliability, and responsiveness to cultivate international customers' trust and satisfaction. In particular, it will be important for them to offer accurate, reliable product information and various languages for overseas customers.

홈쇼핑 기업과 소비재 중소기업의 해외 동반진출에 관한 사례연구 (A Case Study on Joint Overseas Expansion of Home Shopping Firm and Consumer Goods SMEs)

  • 우리나라의 지속적인 경제발전과 경쟁력을 확보하기 위해서는 대기업과 중소기업의 간의 균형 잡힌 발전이 필요하다. 이에 대 중소기업간 상생 및 해외 동반진출에 대한 관심이 높으며, 정부에서도 여러 가지 지원정책을 늘리고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 네트워크 이론의 관점에서 홈쇼핑 기업과 소비재 중소기업의 협력관계를 바탕으로 한 해외 동반진출 사례를 고찰하고, 유통대기업-소비재 중소기업의 동반진출을 설명하는 모델을 구축하고자 한다. 이를 위해 홈쇼핑 기업과 소비재 중소기업의 해외 동반진출과 관련한 인터뷰를 통해, 유통구조의 특수성을 고려한 홈쇼핑 기업과 소비재 중소기업의 효율적인 해외 동반진출 확대 방안을 모색하고자 한다. 이에 해외 동반진출을 하고 있는 3개의 홈쇼핑 기업과 3개의 소비재 중소기업을 대상으로 인터뷰를 실시하였으며, 결과는 다음과 같다. 홈쇼핑 기업은 소비재 중소기업의 해외 판로 개척에 도움이 되며, 자원과 역량이 부족한 중소기업에게 경영 및 마케팅 역량을 활용할 수 있는 기회를 제공한다. 홈쇼핑 기업이 소비재 중소기업을 지원하기 위해 인서트 영상을 제작하거나 관련 언어를 번역해주기도 하며, 무역통관과 관련된 서류 작성을 도와주기도 한다. 또한 해외 시장개척단을 구성하여 해외시장 정보 제공 등의 지원을 한다. 이러한 홈쇼핑 기업의 지원을 이용하여 소비재 중소기업은 해외 시장을 개척하고 있다. 그렇지만 아직까지는 홈쇼핑 기업에게 해외 동반진출이 주는 실질적인 혜택이 미미하기 때문에 장기적으로 서로 win-win할 수 있는 전략이 필요하다. 이를 위해 해외 동반진출을 독려할 수 있도록 실질적인 혜택을 제공해야 하며, 궁극적으로 홈쇼핑 기업과 소비재 중소기업 간의 균형적 발전을 도모해야 한다.

해외여행 동기가 쇼핑행동에 미치는 영향 -상품과 매장특성을 중심으로- (Effect of Overseas Tourists' Motivation on Shopping Behavior -Emphasis on Product and Store Characteristics-)

  • This study investigated how the travel motivation of Korean overseas tourists influenced shopping behavior. We first identified factors of the travel motivation and then categorized types and attributes of shopping products and shopping stores. We then examined the relationship between the travel motivation and shopping products and shopping channels. A questionnaire method was applied for this survey, while factor analysis and regression analysis were used to analyze data. The results are listed below. First, nature & leisure, rest, family, pleasure, hobby & fitness, and discovery were identified as 6 factors of travel motivation. Second, shopping products of overseas tourists were categorized into three types: fashion & luxury, daily goods, and memento. There were four attributes of products, namely, design, utility, economy, and prestige. Major types of shopping stores were souvenir shops, fashion channels and local markets; the shopping store attributes identified were location & salesperson, assortment & atmosphere, and display. Third, overseas tourists' motivation was shown to influence the selection of product types and attributes. Those who traveled for rest, family, pleasure, hobby & fitness orientation were inclined to purchase fashion & luxury goods, and daily goods; however, those who traveled for rest and hobby & fitness orientation also tended to buy memento. The effect of the travel motivation was shown to be different according to product attributes. Fourth, tourists' motivation was shown to affect store type selection and attributes. Those whose traveled for rest, family, pleasure, hobby & fitness preferred souvenir shops while those seeking nature & leisure and pleasure tended to visit fashion channels and local markets more often. Travelers seeking nature & leisure and discovery cared for all three store attributes while family oriented and pleasure seeking tourists considered shopping store location, salesperson and display attributes as important.

인터넷 패션 소비자의 예상된 후회와 지각된 불확실성, 가격민감도 및 구매 망설임에 관한 연구 - 해외 직접구매를 중심으로 - (The anticipated regret, perceived uncertainty, price sensitivity, and purchase hesitation of internet fashion consumers - Focusing on overseas purchasing -)

  • In this study, the effects of anticipated regret and perceived uncertainty on price sensitivity or purchase hesitation in overseas purchasing are analyzed along with the effects of price sensitivity on purchase hesitation. The survey was conducted among internet fashion consumers with experience in overseas purchasing and 480 responses were used in the data analysis. The results showed the psychosocial anticipated regret positively influenced the price importance, and the service, product and psychosocial anticipated regret positively influenced the price search. The preference and psychology uncertainty positively influenced the price importance, and the information and psychology uncertainty positively influenced the price search. The price importance positively influenced payment stage hesitation and shopping cart abandonment, and the price search positively influenced purchase hesitation in overseas purchasing. The functional, service and psychosocial anticipated regret positively influenced payment stage hesitation, and the service and psychosocial anticipated regret positively influenced shopping cart abandonment and overall purchase hesitation. In addition, the perceived uncertainty positively influenced the payment stage hesitation, and the information and psychology uncertainty positively influenced the shopping cart abandonment and overall purchase hesitation. The results of this study will be helpful for developing the marketing strategy for customer relationship management for overseas internet shopping web-sites.

해외직접구매와 해외직접판매가 거시경제변수와 전자상거래에 미치는 영향 분석 (Analysis of the effects of direct overseas purchasing and sales on macroeconomic variables and electronic commerce)

  • 본 연구에서는 해외직접구매와 해외직접판매와 거시경제변수 간의 인과관계를 도출하고 공적분 검정, 충격반응을 이용하여 인과관계를 실증분석하였다. 실증분석에 이용된 모형은 벡터오차수정모형(vector error correlation model)이고, 거시경제변수인 소비자물가지수, GDP를 이용하였고, 전자상거래변수로는 해외직접구매, 해외직접판매, 온라인쇼핑액을 이용하였다. 실증분석결과에 따르면, 해외직접구매는 소비자물가지수와 인과관계가 있고, GDP는 해외직접판매, 온라인쇼핑액과 각각 인과관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. VECM의 충격반응분석 결과에 따르면, 해외직접구매는 소비자물가지수와 GDP에는 긍정적인 영향을 미치지만, 해외직접판매는 소비자물가지수와 GDP에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 해외직접구매와 해외직접판매 모두 온라인쇼핑액에 부정적인 영향을 미치지만, 해외직접구매가 온라인쇼핑액에 더 큰 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

해외 역직구 비즈니스 모델 유형분류 및 분석 (Classification and Analysis for the Business Models of Reverse Overseas Direct Purchasing)

  • This study aims at classifying and analyzing the business models of reverse overseas direct purchasing through online shopping-malls. After analyzing the current status of the reverse overseas direct purchasing online markets, this study identifies relevant critical business factors and synthesizes prior studies to construct and analyse the business models. This study proposes that the business models can be classified into five types according to the operation modes and three types according to the delivery methods. So theoretically 15 business models can be identified. For each business model this study analyzes the characteristics and the pros & cons. It also suggests deployment strategies for companies by considering cost reduction, brand establishment, customer management, customer aquisition, and easiness from the business perspective. From the customers perspective, cost reduction, reliability, royalty, ease to purchase, and accessibility can be considered according to the types of operation mode. The main contribution of this study is to provide the basic classifications and structures of reverse overseas direct purchasing business models systematically. As the result, our study evaluates the business models that which one is better than others in a situation in terms of company and customer. Lastly, we talk about limits and future prospects of the study.

20-30대 해외여행자의 여행활동과 쇼핑행동에 관한 연구 (A Study on Travel Activity and Shopping Behavior of 20's-30's Korean Overseas Travelers)

  • This study confirmed shopping behavior of Korean young overseas tourists and its effect on travel evaluation. I first identified core factors of travel activity preference, travel shopping propensity, and shopping products. The effect of shopping product satisfaction on tour satisfaction and post-tour intention was then investigated. Based on travel activities, tourists were grouped, and their characteristics were compared. An online survey method was performed to obtain data of 20's-30's Korean unmarried people, while factor analysis, regression analysis, chi-square test, analysis of variance (ANOVA), and cluster analysis were applied to analyze data. The results were as follows. First, six travel activities (city life, art/shopping, cultural experience, entertainment, field experience, and friendship), three shopping propensity (novelty/uniqueness, utility, and prestige), and four product groups (fashion goods, household goods, crafts, and foods) were found by factor analyses. Second, travel activity tended to influence shopping propensity, which then influenced shopping products preference. All factors of travel activity seemed to affect the three travel shopping propensities. Third, shopping satisfaction was shown to affect tour satisfaction, and posttour behavior. Finally, four tourist groups (active, social, pleasure, and passive) differed in terms of preferred tour activities, shopping propensity, and tour behavior. Active tourists rated the highest scores and passive ones rated the lowest for most evaluations.
