의류 기업의 글로벌 소싱 모형 (A Global Sourcing Model for Apparel Companies)

  • Although Korean apparel companies have transformed dramatically from contractors to sourcing companies thanks to the rapid growth of local market, relatively little work has been done identifying the determinants and the patterns of global sourcing activities of Korean companies. The purpose of this study was to outline a conceptual model that may be used to organize and guide global sourcing activities of Korean apparel manufacturers and retailers. The conceptual model identified four important factors, cost factor, strategic non-cost factor, firm's internal factor, and global factor, which affect global sourcing strategies and help predict how companies conduct various sourcing activities. The model also identified two sourcing patterns, outsourcing and intra-firm sourcing. In developing the model, literature review on how manufacturers and retailers in diverse areas including global apparel sourcing was conducted. Managerial implications and directions far future study were offered as well.

  • The third party logistics(3PL) is given a definition as logistics activities providing a comprehensive logistics services, all or partly outsourced by the customer on long-term contract basis, ranging from making logistics strategies to implement information technology services. The growth of the Third Party Logistics (TPL) business has been caused many firms to penetrate into the field from different industries. In this study, it is presented to describe a definition and development process of the third party logistics and shown to present strategic issues comparing to third party logistics in foreign and domestic area. and apply to some issues of importance when managing the continued TPL business strategy in domestic area.

  • Models and Strategies for Network Operator's B2B Ecommerce The B2B ecommerce market is one of the fastest growing areas in the telecom industry. However network operators have been slow to enter the arena, Network operator have been held back by their general unsurety about the Internet business. Network operators'core business(the supply of connectivity and transport service) is becoming unprofitable. As a result they are looking to diversify into areas where margins are higher. B2B ecommerce offers them a major way to achieve this. It is possible to identify various business models for offering ecommerce services to end user, ranging from the provision of complete packaged applications to the implementation and management of customized ecommerce solution. In this study the three main approaches available to network operators are the traditional IT outsourcing model, the ASP model and the community builder model.

Business and Logistics Strategies of Global Logistics Firms Responding to the Changing Logistics Environment in China

  • Ninety percent of an average Chinese manufacturer's time spent is on logistics. Therefore, logistics presents the greatest challenge for multinational companies conducting businesses in China. Although more than 18,000 registered logistics companies exist in China, 85 percent of their revenues are generated from basic trucking and storage services. These facts indicate that China will need increasing presence of high-quality foreign 3PL providers, who are able to provide sophisticated IT systems, industry/operational expertise, standardized operating processes, and international networks, compared to their Chinese counterparts. However, they are facing complicated array of laws and regulations as well as difficulty of finding qualified people to fulfill these needs. There are a number of foreign 3PL providers engaged in China's logistics sector to reap a huge opportunity. Nevertheless, many 3PL foreign providers are still cautious about making large investments. Thus they arelooking for alliances that can provide complementarities instead. Another salient feature of strategy is to take over the transportation assets and warehousing of major Chinese manufacturers and distributors.

석탄화력발전소 호흡성분진 작업환경 평가 전략 사례에 관한 연구 (A Study on Occupational Environment Assessment Strategies for Respirable Particulate Matter at Coal-Fired Power Plants )

  • Objectives: Coal-fired power plants feature diverse working conditions, including multi-layered employment structures and irregular work cycles due to outsourcing and non-standardized tasks. The current uniform occupational environment measurement systems have limitations in accurately assessing and evaluating these varied conditions. This study aims to propose alternative measurement and assessment strategies to supplement existing methods. Methods: Major domestic coal-fired power plants were selected as the study targets. To prepare for the study and establish strategies, work processes were identified and existing occupational environment measurement results were compared and analyzed. The study proceeded by employing three strategies: specific exposure groups (SEGs) measurement, continuous monitoring, and supplementary measurements, which were then compared and discussed. Results: Previous exposure index evaluations (5,268 cases) indicated that crystalline silica, a type of respirable particulate matter, had detection limits below the threshold (non-detectable) in 82.6% (4,349 cases) of instances. Exposures below 10% of the exposure limit were observed at a very low concentration of 96.1%. Similar exposure group measurements yielded results where detection limits were below the threshold in 38.2% of cases, and exposures below 10% of the limit were observed in 70.6%. Continuous monitoring indicated detection limits below the threshold in 12.6% of cases, and exposures below 10% of the limit were observed in 75.6%. Instances requiring active workplace management accounted for more than 30% of cases, with SEGs at 11.8% (four cases), showing a higher proportion compared to 3.0% (four cases) in continuous monitoring. For coal dust, exposures below 10% of the limit were highest in legal measurements at 90.2% (113 cases), followed by 74.0% (91 cases) in continuous monitoring, and 47.0% (16 cases) in SEGs. Instances exceeding 30% were most prevalent in SEGs at 14.7% (five cases), followed by legal measurements at 5.0% (eight cases), and continuous monitoring at 2.4% (three cases). When examining exposure levels through arithmetic means, crystalline silica was found to be 104.7% higher in SEGs at 0.0088 mg/m3 compared to 0.0043 mg/m3 in continuous monitoring. Coal dust measurements were highest in SEGs at 0.1247 mg/m3, followed by 0.1224 mg/m3 in legal measurements, and 0.0935 mg/m3 in continuous monitoring. Conclusions: Strategies involving SEGs measurement and continuous monitoring can enhance measurement reliability in environments with irregular work processes and frequent fluctuations in working conditions, as observed in coal-fired power plants. These strategies reduce the likelihood of omitting or underestimating processes and enhance measurement accuracy. In particular, a significant reduction in detection limits below the threshold for crystalline silica was observed. Supplementary measurements can identify worker exposure characteristics, uncover potential risks in blind spots of management, and provide a complementary method for legal measurements.

  • 정보통신기술의 발달로 인한 물류활동의 발달로 인하여 물류서비스를 통한 경쟁우위라는 점이 부각되면서 물류기능이 단순한 지원기능이 아니라 고객유지를 위한 전략적인 경쟁우위의 중요한 원천으로 인식되고 있다. 특히 기업경영의 세계화에 따라 물류정보의 첨단화가 요구됨으로써 사이버물루(e-logistics)환경이 전략적 물류관리의 성패요인으로 작용하면서 정보화시대의 e-물류효율화의 중용성이 대두되고 있다. 본 연구는 정보화시대의 e-물류변화와 국제물류의 주축을 이루고 있는 제3자 물류와 제4자 물류의 기능을 비교하고 국제 e-물류를 활성화시키기 위해서 종합물류정보망 구축, 법률과 제도개선, 정보표준화의 추진, 기업의 효율적인 물류전략 추진, 물류업체간 전략적 제휴, e-물류환경의 기반구축 등의 문제들을 중심으로 전략적 물류관리방안들을 제시하였다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 공공도서관의 운영 활성화에 기여하기 위하여 현행 공공도서관의 민간 위탁의 성과를 분석하는 것이다. 성과의 분석 대상으로는 민간 위탁을 실시하고 있는 3개 공공도서관을 선정하여, 문헌연구, 설문 및 방문조사를 수행하였다. 주요한 고찰사항은 첫째. 공공도서관 민간위탁의 필요성과 배경 및 현황의 검토, 둘째, 민간위탁의 찬$\cdot$반 양론 및 쟁점의 정리, 셋째, 민간위탁의 현행 성과 분석을 포함하였고, 마지막으로 분석에 근거하여 향후 바람직한 공공도서관 민간 위탁 제도 도입과 운영 전략을 제시하고 있다.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the fashion industry in Korea with materials that could enhance its international competitiveness by suggesting marketing strategies for fast fashion brands after taking product, price, place, and promotion into consideration. The product strategy should focus on developing products that accurately reflect the general market trend and consumer demand, selecting optimal materials, and pursuing internal production. This, coupled with strategic cooperation with designers, will ensure reliable quality and enhance the brand image. The pricing strategy should place greater emphasis on reducing production costs. Diverse task outsourcing and design competition, for instance, can lower the cost of design development. The place strategy should be set according to the operation of a systematic and efficient distribution system based on SPA, an automatic delivery system, sales or return system, speed control system, and a value chain that consists of horizontal business alliances. The promotion strategy should be run under the central control of the headquarters using various unique VMDs. Furthermore, online marketing campaigns, spectacular fashion shows, design competitions, catalogue marketing campaigns, and other new sales promotion schemes could all be introduced.

  • IT 아웃소싱은 IT 서비스 관리에 있어서 가장 중요한 전략 중 하나로 인식되고 있다. 조직의 핵심 역량에 집중하면서 부차적인 IT 업무는 외부로부터 지원을 받는 IT 아웃소싱 전략은 조직의 효율과 성과를 높일 수 있는 효과적인 방안이면서, 보안에 대한 우려와 IT 서비스 공급자에 대한 의존도를 높이는 부작용을 동반하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내 민간 기업 데이터 센터의 IT 아웃소싱 전략과 운영을 분석하였다. 국내 주요 IT 서비스 전문 기업 3개사와 금융그룹 1개사의 데이터 센터에 대한 심층 인터뷰를 바탕으로, 데이터 센터들의 IT 아웃소싱 조직 현황, 아웃소싱 결정 요인, 아웃소싱 저해 요소와 해결 방안 등 전반적인 IT 아웃소싱 전략과 운영을 살펴보았다. 국내 주요 기업들의 데이터 센터는 IT 유지 보수, 인프라 기반 운영 등의 업무를 아웃소싱 대상 업무에, 그리고 IT 기획 전략 컨설팅, 시스템 기획 개발 등의 업무는 인소싱(in-house sourcing) 업무로 분류하고 있었다. 또한 IT 아웃소싱 결정 요인으로 내부직원의 역량, 비용, 리스크 등이 있었고, 정량적인 분석보다는 정성적인 판단에 의해 아웃소싱을 결정하고 있었다.

A Study on the Success Factors of Architectural Information System(SEUMTER) in South Korea

  • Since the late 1990s, the Korean government has attempted to develop the Architectural Information System (AIS, SEUMTER), led by the Ministry of Construction and Transportation, in order to improve civil complaint convenience and administrative efficiency in architectural administration. Since then, for nearly 30 years, the Korean government has been continuously upgrading the SEUMTER system. Based on these advancement projects, it is now possible to conduct civil affairs through the Internet, and civil petitioners can file complaints with government offices without visiting and without documents. In addition, statistical work and performance management became possible in real time for civil servants. And recently, by clouding the SEUMTER system, intelligent services have become possible. In this paper, the development process of the SEUMTER was divided into four stages and evaluated, and the main success factors were derived. The main success factors of SEUMTER are 1) Promotion as a National Agenda - Leadership of the President and Ministers, 2) Outsourcing of Information System Development and Dissemination, 3) Overcoming Selfishness between Ministries - Integrating Building Permits System and Building Ledger Systems, 4) Continue to Promote Information System Advancement. Subsequently, three global diffusion strategies for SEUMTER were presented: 1) the Need to Establish Globalization Strategy: Linkage with Smart City Business, 2) Small and Medium-sized System Model Needed for Globalization and ODA, and 3) System Success Needs to be Publicized Internationally.
